Tip: you don't need to unscrew the bolt of the bar end all the way in order to take it off. You just loosen the screw and the bar end with the plastic core and the screw nut go off together.
@@EmeraldGhost- It’s supposed to be loose before installation. Once you put it inside the bar tube and start screwing the plastic gets squeezed tight inside the bar.
@@EmeraldGhost-try using some white thread sealant and wrap it around the rubber a few times to thicken it up or add a extra layer of rubber washers at your local hardware store.
My stock handlebars were loosening on their own (the screw was beginning to loosen) so I put some blue loctite on them. Now, I have decided to put aftermarket handlebar sliders on and am wondering if you (or anyone else that reads this) has some ideas on how to remove the loctite screw. I've heard a heat gun will work but my concern is melting the handlebar grip. Thoughts?
There is no need to completely remove the bar-end weights, they will slide out assembled, only need to be loosened, just to help you, and other down the road. BTW if you don't need the stock bar ends let me know, I would be interested in them ? Thanks, yl
@@b-rj1171 watch Brian vans sportbike track gear video on installing a bar end mirror and he shows how to get it out I think. You have to twist the actual bar end piece but make sure you cover it with something so you don't damage it.
@@b-rj1171 srew the end piece back in and then actually spin the entire assembly out counter clockwise maybe? Cover it with a rag and use pliers if you have to.
Finally someone who is explaining how they work and you don't need a special handlebar for these.
Thanx man.
I bought from from ebay. It's was totally different from this setup but this tutorial helped me improvise and make it work!! Thanks

Are these the woodcraft weighted bar ends? Any part number? Because website says it fit the woodcraft bars only? Thanks
You just need to unscrew the screw nearly all the way out then pull and it will all come out there is no need for the nail; )

Thanks!! Great video, heading out to my garage now :)
Thanks. Short and to the point.
Its weird, i got some bar ends from Rizoma. Same tightening method, but it just keeps spinning freely
What if my new bar ends didn’t come with the longer black piece!? How do I get it to where it doesn’t come out after I tighten my bar end
A alenkey bolt would look nice! :D
Could you put the allen key screw on the bottom so ya didnt see it by twisting it around?
Yes.
Dan T Yea you can set it however you wish. It was just easier for me to tighten/loosen it from the top.
Yes that would be true, just not the best looking to some, to some it looks even better that way.. Who I don't know ?? lol But it works though !
Cool cheers

Question! How do you remove bar end sliders? After loosening the screw, it got dangled down and I can't remove it.
What was your solution? Changing grips at the moment and now the Puck won't screw back in... Pissed
