steven mah well IG beating KT wasn’t really an upset imo. Especially compared to some others we’ve seen recently. It’s really comparable to OMG 3-0ing Najin 4 years back.
G2 was one of the top 3 teams in this ournaments. In korean bootcamp G2 players were on the top so it was expected. Along with IG and fnatic who were also on the top. So basically this 3 teams are favorites in this tournament.

This is the first time since Season 2 Worlds in 2012 that a non Korean team which isn't RNG will make the world finals and also the first time since Season 4/2014 we won't have an all Korean final. Let's go one step further and make this Worlds the first time since Season 1 we have no Korean team in the final.

Story-wise NA vs EU finals would be good but a)it's not likely and that would mean fnc would lose to C9 (not likely) and b) there is even better story of fnc vs g2 finals. From EU lcs rivalry to the main stage worlds finals to decide which team is the best. That's a way better story than the puny NA vs the great EU.

I've been an EU fan since I first started watching competitive league of legends in 2015 when a team called "Origen" run by THE LEGEND xPeke made it all the way to semifinals alongside 2015 Fnatic. From that day on, even though I'm from Texas, U.S.A, I knew my destiny was to become an EU fan and watch the EU LCS. I'm so glad i did that because EU has shown some of the best league of legends I've ever seen.

This is karma coming back to bite those analysts with their over hype on an RNG and KT final being the 2 BEST teams at Worlds. Really who is eating crow now? In fact we are not even seeing an RNG and KT semi final! Which is hilarious. Time for the analysts to get on the EU hype train and root for them. They deserve to get some love now. Great job G2. I may have to change my opinion on them considering I didn't think they were a clutch team and now... G2 did this without Heimer! Common they beat Uzi, the final boss as they say. And about RNG, I think a BIG problem for them is they relied on UZI waaay too much to win games for them. When your mid laner is taking Sion that should tell you that they are focusing on protecting UZI and having him carry in team fights. With RNG funneling turret gold, kill gold over to UZI, he still couldn't do it on his own, their team needs to re-think their strategy since UZI is the best ADC at Worlds, but he isn't going to even make it to the semi finals which tells you that RNG were running a flawed strategy. Great job G2 and now its up to Fnatic to do theirs and win their game and I want to see a C9 and Fnatic semi final, that would be hype.

They are way better in every single way. Bwipo and Soaz match wunder in two different styles, Broxah has been THE EU Jungler when it comes to early game this year and his lee sin is the best in the tournament, Caps is the best mid laner in Europe HANDS DOWN (and maybe even in the world), I don't even need to say anything about Rekkles because he's a living legend, and Hylissang is the team's playmaker and Best Pyke in the world. That's Fnatic for ya.
Some major and rare mistakes from Uzi over the series. What happens when your only path and player to success starts to falter? This. Props to RNG though - i haven't seen a team remain such a threat while 10k behind, in the end, since the oldschool SKT powerhouse. Also Perkz 2018, game 5, worlds quarter-finals Leblanc *much* better than Rookies 2018 game 5 worlds quarter-finals Leblanc.
Turns out Zven and Mithy sucked and it was Perkz who always carried them. Makes sense because we saw how bad Zven and Mithy were in NA, therefore proving my point

Bwipo and Soaz match wunder in two different styles, Broxah has been THE EU Jungler when it comes to early game this year and his lee sin is the best in the tournament, Caps is the best mid laner in Europe HANDS DOWN (and maybe even in the world), I don't even need to say anything about Rekkles because he's a living legend, and Hylissang is the team's playmaker and Best Pyke in the world.
