I apologize if the video quality isn't suitable for some of you. I tried using super steady mode on my phone but the low lighting in the store didn't make it turn out good. I didn't think it was too bad while editing but some of you have expressed your concerns with it. I will be going back to do a follow up video with my normal camera soon. I just didn't want to have my big camera in the store amidst the craziness of opening day!
@@TheToyRoom the biggest issue that I feel is the issue is your speed of panning. It's to the lighting but the back and forth is what gets me. Just pan slower. Hey, I know it was crazy there and I'm sure you were excited to show as much as possible. I would rather have a longer video than the vertigo inducing blurrs. I got to get there wonder why they put it so far south in Miami. I would have thought somewhere central would be better. Maybe this means they will put a store here in Lauderdale.
Except Micro Center is way better! I first went to one in Kansas City when I lived in MO. Now I live in LA and have no problem driving an hour to Tustin to the only MC in California.
Fry's went out of business. The had too good of a price match policy and people would abuse the return policy to upgrade parts. The would not honor a lot of their returns and had to fight for hours to get it. The bad customer service was a game for the managers in most stores. I liked how every Fry's had a theme, the one in Palo Alto had a western ranch theme. I worked at store 12 that was their first brick and mortar store in Sunnyvale CA.
Same...I'm in Largo and considering the drive this coming weekend. My bank account is already crying though as I know I will have trouble not buying alot
I was there on the same exact day in the early morning when they opened! I love the fact that the decided to open one here in Miami, we have been needing a good electronics store ever since Tiger Direct closed down in that same shopping center. The best part is that it's just 10 minutes from my house! I also love the fact that I no longer need to rely on online shopping for a lot of things and concern myself with shipping mishaps. The complimentary mug and free 128gb USB was a nice little bonus for my first visit and purchase, my wallet won't be happy, but I sure will be!
Success remains to be seen. Amazon Prime and Newegg have put CompUSA and TigerDirect out of business. When I go to the Microcenter, I will have my smartphone handy to check the price.
@@ShantalhaitianPrincess It actually started out as the SoftWarehouse and became CompUSA. My store was the one next to the Golden Glades interchange. I worked about 4 blocks away and would spend my lunchtime visiting.

I went in with a plan to buy the hp omen - a fella helped me build a powerspec and I was able to get all the features I wanted. 14900k, 4090, and a warranty. HELLLLLLLLL YEAHHHHHH
I visited, it was amazingly crowded, the lines were extremely long so I just browsed and left, got a free coffee mug at the exit. Store looks absolutely incredible one thing they are lacking on is Mini PCs like Minisforum, GMKtec, Beelink etc.

So I'm in Tampa area and it's a 5 hour drive for me but I am so excited that there is one here in Florida now so I will take a Saturday and make the drive to just brows the stor and to get a Motherboard and CPU combo that they run awesome sales on. Reminds me of tiger direct. Late 90s early 2000s you can go in there custom build a pc. I miss those days. They hit a market which was fun and tech savvy. This is nostalgic. Hope they open one in Orlando.
The same location that was TigerDirect Store/outlet and HQ which was something similar to Micro Center. Finally people near / in Miami can pickup the in store only specials.
I had gotten my new gaming PC a month before this. I would have had them build my pc but I got the dates wrong, so I ordered one from Best Buy. So far so good, if I need to upgrade it with more MV drives I'll go to this new Micro Center.

So I don't think you have to wait until next week if you see the parts come back in stock. You could also do an online order when the parts come in stock that way you don't have to wait until you have time to go to the store and they'll be waiting for you when you get there!

I want to go down there one day and see the store. I just ordered my new parts from Newegg not realizing that microcenter was opening. It’s all good though because the store is about an hour and a half south of me so it’s a bit of a trip to get there.
I'm glad that there's a finally Micro Center in Florida. I was going to go during that time you did and I'm glad I didn't because I cannot stand being in those types of lines, I probably would have walked out lol. Those 128 gigabyte USB and mugs are cool but I'll wait till the hype dies down and then make my way down there. Just like you it's also distance away from me, at least a 35 minute drive in the best traffic.
I went there this weekend, and the lines weren't as bad as the first few days, but parking was still very difficult. This store will see tons of traffic since it's located near a Costco as well.

I’m more of a console type gamer, but if depends, I sometimes game on the pc. I recently bought a Dell XPS 9570 32RAM, 1TB off eBay in very good condition and I’m having a blast. If I go to a pc building route, I’m definitely heading to Micro Center for some tips and guide.

In chicago Microcenter was like this 30 years ago then say 10 years they don’t carry much in stock anymore more empty as for the tech bar they had that for 15 years then they moved away from it We have super plain basic now Microcenter. I was in Miami Beach but Microcenter was not open yet - have fun
they could have opened in Orlando to make it equally close to everyone in Florida, and also to international visitors who visit Disney & Universal too, Miami was a bad choice.

It carries a lot of the stuff that Best Buy doesn't carry in stores, mainly PC components and general electronics. A perfect example is you can go here and pick out every individual component to build a custom PC setup, and you can even browse selections of PC peripherals, 3D printers, cables of all kinds, a ton of networking gear, a ton of home server and audio gear, and much more. It is amazing that we got one of these here in Miami, and I'd highly recommend a visit!
I don't think they would, they have a tradition of not opening stores too close to one another. If they do open another store, it will likely be much further up North, like Orland or Tampa.

Bestbuy sort of had some computer building stuff and they price match but the variety of parts was not as vast as CompUSA. Dang I miss CompUSA. I plan to go to this MC one day. Did this store have any RTX 4090s and AIO water cooling kits? Also did you go to this store on a weekend as it looks pretty busy?
@@Gman2002 I didn't get a good look at all the graphics cards they had. I'm fairly certain they did have cooling kits. And no I haven't been back since this day but others in the comments have been and they said it was busy but the lines weren't like they were in this video

They have everything you mentioned, you can literally go there and pick out all the components to build a custom PC without needing to rely on online storefronts, which is my favorite part. And during the entire first week it was definitely super busy, I went just this weekend and it was still VERY busy. The problem with the area they chose is that it is very central, and it is the only one in the entire state, so you will see a ton of people all the time. Their parking lot is also very small, so parking is always a challenge. Oh, and it also shares a space with a Costco, so it will see a ton of traffic for that as well.
Micro Center could have built the store in Orlando, which would have been center to Florida instead of Miami, which is the very bottom. Not many people will drive 4+ hours to visit a store. Missed opportunity.
