    Thank you, Craig; this was very helpful. I was able to clean the impeller. There was a lot of hair built inside. As a preventative measure, I would recommend doing it once a year. It took me 15 minutes.

    I've found that if you place the unit on your knee, so that the tracks are on either side of your thigh, the motor will slide in easily because the track gear rotates freely as the motor cog is inserted.

    Craig I have an issue that when I turn the power supply on, it only flashes. This is with the cleaner hooked up. With the cleaner unhooked, the power supply acts correctly. Nautilus CC

    I assume they quit making these expensive power supplies with replaceable fuses so they can sell more rather than consumer being able to fix in minutes. Designing something that works only in and around water and is not waterproof is foolish, just want to make more and more money....just my opinion of course.

    I might be wrong as I am in Australia and ours might be different, but the 1, 2, 3 settings is how many days consecutively the unit runs, not how many days apart. This is so the the cleaner draws back the operator to check the filter with the idea being to prevent it continuously running with a full cleaner basket.

    Any answer to this, it is my exact issue ?When I turn the power supply on, it only flashes. This is with the cleaner hooked up. With the cleaner unhooked, the power supply acts correctly. Nautilus CC Pro

    Great informative video. When I start the system the robot starts to work but stops in less than a minute. I checked the impeller on the robot and found it to be clean. The controller box feels warm and when I checked it with the voltmeter I got a negative 1 on DC20. If I bump it up to DC200 I get negative 29.6. Any thoughts? I leaning on the power control box.

      Curious to know what the issue was with your unit and how you resolved it.

    • @bryanfoxx2292
      @bryanfoxx2292 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You get a negative reading because your leads are reversed if checking with a digital multimeter. If not checking with a DMM then you have other wiring issues.
      Yes and when checking with a voltmeter you have to set you limit, HIGHER, than the voltage your wanting to check. In other words if one was wanting to check voltage of say 240 volts, then you need to set your dial to greater than 240. I hope that helps.
      The thing I found with my daughters unit, after taking the motor unit clear apart that it had a lot of moisture inside the motor/control box. This is supposedly a "sealed" unit since it had a rubber gasket to help seal it to make it water proof. However, the motor that spins the impeller is NOT sealed thus allowing the unit to take in moisture. This is definitely a design flaw because there are several electrical components inside that will eventually short out and thus make one have to buy the motor unit this video is talking about to the tune of over $400. The motor that spins the impeller has two capacitors inside its casing and they were WET not just damp thus they had shorted out. The two long bolts that hold this motor together were severely rusted. Again, this is a design flaw, of course, this is just MY opinion. This is why the control/motor unit is NOT under warranty. If THEY, the company, had to pay to replace these units because of this flaw, they would design them where they were totally waterproof.
      Otherwise, I will say the unit does a SUPERB job of cleaning!!! Again, just like everything else made today, they only want it to last so long, then they want you to buy another one. It is the ole "PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE" scheme.

    Hey Craig, I appreciate the video but after I confirmed the power supply and cable were working and I installed a new motor block my active 20 does not move. I have left two messages on your website but have not heard from you in return. I need to know what else could be my problem .

    The blue power light on mine comes on for half a second then immediately turns off, but only when the device plugged into the power supply. When it's not plugged in, the power supply will turn and stay on like normal. Impeller is not jammed up.

    I have an inoperative Dolphin Deluxe 4. I opened the motor. There is 29DCV across the b&w pins. There is no continuity from the red pin to the power supply end of the cable. I didn't notice any obvious failures on the PCB.
    Leslie's used their plug diagnostic tool and checked the cable as "good." Is the red wire used? I need to know before I purchase a new motor unit.

    Thanks for the video Craig, would you happen to have a failed motor module you'd be willing to part with? Our Dolphin 20 climbs the wall and I'd like to look at the controller board to see if there's a way to disable vertical wall climbing and better to look at something I might break is disassembly than a working unit.

    Mine runs for a minute and then the LED on the PCB inside the motor block flashes rapidly. The connector for the water motor has gotten hot enough to discolor the plastic. I'm going to solder and heat shrink that pigtail and see what happens. Do you have any info on that flashing LED? Motor driver, poor connection, high output current????
    Thanks

    At 08:00 into your Maytronics Active 20 video (th-cam.com/video/5Ocz-PH0DWQ/w-d-xo.html) you mention that home automation instructions would be provided later in the video, and a pdf can be downloaded from your website. I didn't see those instructions in the video, and cannot find the related pdf on your website, please comment.

    My unit starts running for about 90 seconds and then stops. The impeller is clean and so are the track wheels. I have found sometimes hair get caught there, but not this time. Any thoughts?

    • @briancamidge3230

      That currently is my problem, I cleaned the impeller, but still shuts off, I am thinking the cable, I have a 3 volt loss fro PS to end of cable

    • @murphystreeter
      @murphystreeter ปีที่แล้ว

      Same problem here. Impeller runs, traction motor runs. Shuts off. I'm going to take some readings while it's running and after it shuts off. The little LED on the control board inside the dolphin is flashing rapidly. The pigtail from the impeller motor to the control board has another pigtail where the manufacturer added a slug. The wire to wire connector got hot enough to melt a bit. I'm going to cut the plugs, solder, and heat shrink. We'll see. If it works I'll put a video on my channel.
