Your enthusiasm gets me so excited! I always end up in my closet trying on things and having fun. By the way, your 70’s video really appealed to me. I love your concept of style freedom in this decade. Dare I say that I feel sexy again. Not the same as my 40’s, but a wonderful kind of freedom and confidence!
Great...love your using language that "weight change" works both ways, up and down, and both are normal. Embrace your best self whatever your size and shape! I really love that this is what you are all about
Wonderful content! I need your voice when deciding what to sew ;) I tend to have what I call the "squirrel" issue (there was a greeting card with a dog looking forward saying "HAPPY", then dog looking to the side "SQUIRREL" , then back to forward "BIRTHDAY" ) I have enough fabric to sew several wardrobes, but in the middle of a project, I'll get distracted by something else which has no relation to the current project. Also, like the different sizes idea. That's why I don't cut out my patterns, I trace, usually altering to fit better.
Great supportive video. I love that you said a hat could stand in for a jacket as a 3rd piece. The idea of trying a capsule wardrobe with a new color is just what I've done. Hot pink. Tangerine orange with white as a based. I put on the white linen or white denim bottom and a top and wow. Sometimes I wear monochromatic deep pink and I love that. My other capsule is white, black and flax( tan or beige). I have a beautiful tee stand I bought when our Macy's was going out of business. 1/2 is my neutral capsule 1/2 is my pop of color capsule. I always have something I love to wear. Thank you for showing me the way. ❤❤❤
Nada, I am glad you mentioned weight change in this video. Over the past year, I have lost over 40 pounds and changed sizes pretty drastically. I have done a major closet edit and have bought some new clothes (before I started watching your videos, so there are some mistakes in there, I am sure!) I was afraid to get rid of everything that is now too big. So I have kept some pairs of pants, always the earliest garment to not fit when sizes change. I labeled them "too big" and put in them in my storage area in the basement. This way I still have them if needed, but I don't have them in my closet confusing me about what I can wear now. One of my issues in the past is that I would buy things too big for me to "cover up", which we know just makes us look bigger. So, many of my pieces from before were way, way too big. I do feel that I have now found an eating system that will keep me at near my current weight, but keeping a few things just keeps me from worrying. I have watched other stylists' videos who all advise putting together a capsule wardrobe of about 12 things which are focused on neutrals, and that has always seemed too restrictive and minimalistic to me. I like variety! I like me some color! I like basics, and I like statements, too, but not always the same kind of statement! So, building clusters is a more manageable concept to me. I know I likely have several clusters right now, and probably some things that don't fit into any cluster. I will take this idea and spend some time in my closet making clusters. Thank you!
I’ve tried to figure out the capsule concept for while. Your wonderful explanation is the one one to make the light bulb go on. Thank you thank you thank you 😁
I went from size 0 to size 8 between 2016 to 2021. I have all the sizes in between the two extremes. I am down to size 4 now, a comfortable size to maintain. I do plan to sell size 0, 2, and tops jackets and dresses that don’t fit (I gain shoulder and upper back width from swimming).
Thanks for the feedback. I’ve done many many videos with illustrations already, and have another one with all visuals and examples tomorrow. This video was to discuss the different ways the concept could be used.

Great question! I recommend doing that at the beginning. You can also photograph the items together or use an app to organize them. I’ll be doing a video about wardrobe apps this week
I just did a bonus video on this today. You can hang them together at the beginning but you can also use an app to organize them if that works for you!
What is the best way to organize/lay out your capsules? I feel like I have all solid bottoms, but many "orphan" pieces. I probably just have too much of everything. I have a hard time letting go, but working on that. Buying new wardrobes every season is not eco or budget friendly. Any suggestions welcome!
This was me too for most of my life. I have an essentials list if you want it. The plain pieces are available everywhere at every price and you only need a couple to make your wardrobe go farther. :)
There is a utube channel that is no longer active but has several videos that show examples as well as the math. Christie Ressel is her name and the videos are maybe 4 years old but still very relevant. She shows how to use color and pattern. I hope this helps.

I love this concept. I feel the capsule wardrobe is too confusing for me. But this bite sized idea works for me!
Superb video with excellent info. Please do videos of clusters using color combos, styles, and purposes, and body types. Thanks.
I love your the top you’re wearing. N the earrings too! Thank you for doing these videos.
Thank you so much Jill! That means a lot to me!
great video! I would love to see the examples of clusters for different dress codes. Very helpful, thank you.
Thank you so much! I have a video like that coming on Friday

What a great idea! I’m going try clustering things I have.
Thank you! Let me know how it works out for you!

Thank you for simplying the minimalist wardrobe. I've never heard of the Cluster Wardrobe.
By the way, first time viewer. Will continue to watch.
Wow, this is a life changing video, thank you, Nada!!❤❤❤
Great for travel

Appreciate the cluster concept, especially for different sizes. Going through this now with shape changes!

This is very useful thank you 😊
Best Video you have ever done!
Thank you so much! So glad you found it helpful!
I love your videos! Your enthusiasm makes me smile and I learn so much and feel like I can incorporate your advice and suggestions!
Very clever!!!!
Have you heard of show, don't tell? That would be so nice to see!

@elmapollard4238 here is a past one. Another coming tomorrow. th-cam.com/video/1FtMpbgjuq0/w-d-xo.html
Instead of a blazer, you could have a shawl, kimono, cardigan, short raincoat or moto jacket.
Absolutely! Any completer piece would work!
Very interesting video!
Excellent video!❤
Thank you so much!

Do you organize the closet by hanging the clusters together?
Great question! I recommend doing that at the beginning. You can also photograph the items together or use an app to organize them. I’ll be doing a video about wardrobe apps this week
@@NadaManley thank you. I really enjoyed this and just subscribed. Looking forward to more!
How does the cluster work in The closet? Are the cluster items grouped together ?
I just did a bonus video on this today. You can hang them together at the beginning but you can also use an app to organize them if that works for you!

Did you say before that you store your clusters together or just mix them in with your other wardrobe pieces? What works best?
I photograph them and mix them in so I can use them in different outfits
@@NadaManley Thank you!
@@sheristrybos5831 I’ll be doing a video on using apps for this
My problem is that i have too many "interesting " items and not enough plain.
This was me too for most of my life. I have an essentials list if you want it. The plain pieces are available everywhere at every price and you only need a couple to make your wardrobe go farther. :)
Too much talking and not showing examples of outfits
This video was about the benefits and the different ways to use the concept. Friday I will be featuring pictures of clusters.
