You can also brush the empanada with eggwhite before putting it in the oven. We also make bake empanada. The baked empanada is healthier because you don't need to cook in oil. Your empanadas are jumbo size. Yummy!

Hello Lisa of course we bake empanadas in the oven, too, but not everybody has an oven and most Filipinos like it fried, that's the reason why.
I like fried too..than baked. 😊
I prefer “baked” which is traditional. Unlike rural residences however - urbans houses like those in Samal don’t have the luxury of having electrical appliances like oven hence they resort to frying their empanadas.

You know, empanada is one of my favorite snacks.
I am just amazed how Filipino food have almost converted your family (and some of your friends) to our food! I'll be honest, Filipino dishes (and most Asian dishes) are much healthier than other dishes from around the world.
When you "BAKE" the empanadas, you need to brush them with eggs (called "egg wash") before baking them. The "egg wash" seals the moisture and makes the empanada shell crusty and not dry. Anyway, your empanadas look delicious! Happy cooking, Lisa!
Hope Sergei is going to be okay. Cleaning the wound first with disinfectant (like rubbing alcohol) and then treating the wound with Penicillin will heal the wound fast.

Make sure your husband get tetanus shots. Especially if the nails are rusted and dirty.
We dip the empanada with cane vinegar, add a little sugar to balance the sour taste, chop onion , garlic and cucumber with chili if u want it spicy.

Baked and fried empanada. Yummy. I like it with sweet and chilli sauce in small drops with each bite.
It's more delicious if you add cheeze cube inside the empanada just try it
You can prepare venigar with garlic sauce for the empanada

But seriously, ground meat with carrots and potatoes cooked similarly to your empanada filling is something we also cook as a meal with rice.

hi sis. Liza i will give you my recipe for the flappy pancake, and I'm sure that your kids will love it, for the dry engredients are, all purpose flour, 3 cups, baking powder, 2 1/2 Tbsp, sugar, 1/4 cup, mix all together, then the wet ingredients, put in a separate bowl put the small can of evaporated milk, 2 cups of water half cup of fresh milk, 3 eggs half cup of vegetable oil or half cup of melted unsalted butter, and and one bottle cup of vanilla extract the mix all together and when you're than put the dry mixture into the wet mixture slowly, mix it well until the mixture become smooth, then ready to cook I hope that the kids will love it and asking you for more.

Empanada dough is made with flour, cold butter, cold water, a little salt and baking soda. I’m afraid the dough recipe for siomai will not give you the same result.
Empenada its so tasty and deliscios acording the dishes but in the PHILIPPINES empenada was popular in the province of ILOCOS SUR AND NORTE, I hope you give the best delicius empenada GOD BLESS YOU ALL

I am worried about the wounds of Sergey. I suggest you see a doctor, for a better treatment. The doctor might suggest an anti tetanus injection. This is only a suggestion, i care so much. Thank you.
