😷You are partly right Alux’ people are leaving however before we ignore how this city has got it’s problems, people are leaving LA and going where alux? Corruption usually starts from the top and trickled down, because it doesn’t make sense that LA’s population can afford to import it’s drugs’ it seems like a crime that Batman fixes; because the criminals are too rich...no one is pointing fingers here; maybe the solution is to do a video on safer’ alternatives to LA. People are leaving because we the people here are sick of all the nonsense and want something positive, & lucrative for our efforts and works.
Cities always drain the land of resources, ruin the natural habitat for everyone (including our families in the larger biotic community), and concentrate wealth in the same exact proportion they create poverty. That's been the failure of all civilizations with an annual crop fixation and the only thing that makes this different from past empires, is fossil fuels. But that's coming to an end fast. It's about time too.
I grew up in LA, but after graduating college and being married with a kid on the way. I realize the term "ownership" of anything is too far out of reach. Making post-college wages means I need to save up 10 years diligently before down payment on a home. I love LA for the weather, the vibrancy of life, diversity, but as far as living there daily, it was certainly very stressful. I moved to Utah making about the same wage in LA and within a year I was able to get a down payment on a home, purchase a 2nd vehicle, and still have savings left over. LA is now a tourist area for me now.
I went to salt lake with my family for Labor Day & it’s the shittiest place I’ve ever been to I’m so happy I live in California cuz Utah is so depressing there’s nothing to do
Co-sign. I couldn't have filthy-street-havin'-ass LA to eat up my Means for Production budget! "Home Ownership" is mostly a scam anyway. I own land but I personally value flexibility above trying to prove to mf's who aint no better than me that I am WORTHY to be their financial slave for 15 to 40 years, or staying in the same spot working to pay it off. The land I own is mainly for benefit of other who, like so many peoples, have been ROBBED, and we flip up from there. The best thing we can all do, at very minimum, is tell the TRUTH about how "money" and "wealth" or capital have been working from the inception and founding of this bitch. I know a Black married father of 5 who moved his family to Utah 2 years ago from LA and from north of San Diego--WAY more house for your money. I had my eye on Utah and Idaho for myself years ago, but I mainly was scared too many Racists idiots would ruin it for me.
Rick Blaine Yes just like NY and SF. LA has a demographic skewed toward that 10%. That’s my point. The top 10% are not equally distributed in America. The top 10% could be 1/3 of the population in a city like LA. It suffers from having a great deal of wealth, education and desirable climate. This pushes out people who are at the bottom but that’s like complaining that you pay a lot of taxes after becoming wealthy. It’s hardly a reason to complain if you are able to live in LA. Lastly this piece is absolutely disingenuous as no one believes that 2020 is reflective of any long term trend.
Steve Jovan we have two sons, who lived and worked in LA, and both left for much better financial opportunities in less expensive cities. They both described many of problems presented in this video, and both found better communities for them. The beauty of America is having a huge country with abundant opportunities. No one needs to “settle” for any one place when there are better places for them. No one is trapped. As you correctly point out, if you are in the top 5% or top 10%, you can do whatever you want-including or not including living in LA.
I would say the main reason people move out of LA is because of the inconsistency of the economy. So many people loose out on their jobs, some are homeless and some can't even afford the basic amenities of life
@@auroraemilio6526 You don't conclude that there is no job security in LA. I have always lived in LOS ANGELES. And I invest into the crypto market and I make huge profits from my investments.
I think it's because most people in the city are not properly oriented. There are so many menial things one can stick to for means of survival.. The earlier pal said crypto investment. No doubt crypto is the next big thing but do you know you can start with as little as $700
@@DasJaegar The red pill is hard to swallow initially. We were crafted by the media to hate the man, but once you snap from that hold and see things for how they are. Blue states are destroying their cities. I mean that gas tax there. Gas in LA is double how much it is in Houston. Rent is 70%+ cheaper. Plus no income tax in the state. It looks like less taxes and less government really does make peoples lives better.
I'm born and raised in LA and I left years ago. Went to the Army and never turned back even after I got out of the service. I'll never live in California again. It's trash and there's nothing there for me. Nothing there for many clearly.
In 1977, everybody was leaving New York, the same people that moved to places like Arizona, Texas, and Nevada moved back within five years. Every city on this earth has problems. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE PERFECT PLACE. It depends on what opportunities are waiting for you.
@@jasinbiggs7189 Each one of the reasons mentions are the responsibility of the state government. The federal govt has nothing to do with the homelessness, the drug problems or the tax increases. It's all the responsibility of the city and state govt. Aka the democrats that incompetently runs the state of California and the incompetent mayor of LA.
L.A. Metro will do awesomely. What the California Federales want is less people around. And I agree... just not with their methods. The easiest class to chase outta town is the middle class. Next, bulldoze all those neighborhoods full of pesky low-end housing + build a new paradise. It'll happen.
@Erika5 that is his point, all the twig-boy dems are in the "big cities like LA and SF" hence the population dip. he is saying people are leaving areas heavily populated by dems or heavily influenced by their policy.
@Scott Weaver I don’t. I am now seeing the lies of the Democracks politicians and what’s happening to Cali... I don’t know what to believe anymore... I am independent party.
Born and raised in California and left for Las Vegas in 2017. My only regret is not doing this sooner. I am still close enough to where I can make visits to the city, but at the same time, not pay the California prices. It has become such a win-win for me, I don't know why I didn't do this sooner!
Lived there from 1999 to 2015. It's not even remotely the city is used to be even 10 years ago. You used to be able to live an artistic/bohemian life and not be broke all the time. Used to be able to live in a bungalow in Silverlake, and enjoy the incredible sunsets and endless blue skies. All of my friends and I all lived there and Echo Park, and then had to move to Highland Park, and now there's nowhere left to go. I know a lot of people who moved to the desert. It's a shame; LA has so many good things going for it, but alas the bad has rendered all of those things irrelevant. The vid basically lists all my reasons for moving, so I won't add anymore. I will say, though, that some of the blame for the rapid gentrification of previously affordable enclaves had to do with people moving to LA from NYC, SF, and Seattle, bc those cities had become too expensive, and they looked at LA and said, "It's sunny there all the time, there's ocean, mountains, and desert, and it's way cheaper than Park Slope and doesn't have dismal winters." Yeah, thanks. You guys screwed it up for everyone. But really, though, it's decades of bad politics, over-development of expensive high rise real estate, a street and freeway infrastructure that was designed in the 50s under the assumption LA would never have more than 500,000 people, pathetic public transpo, and lastly creating a culture that blatantly favors the haves, as one of the commenters mentioned. It's sad what's become of a very unique city. There's a magnetic energy to it that draws people there; there's a reason so many mystics and dreamers moved there back in the 30's-40's and still do. I miss the place, I'll admit it. But it just became untenable. Like an abusive relationship, you just have to know when to walk away. These problems aren't unique to just LA, unfortunately; every city in America is going down the tubes. I live in rural Oregon now, and even though i want to live in a city again, I can't think of a single city in this country that I'd actually consider living in. None of the "cool" cities are affordable anymore, and the ones that were affordable even two years ago are done bc of gentrification. I'm looking at you, Austin, Portland, Nashville, etc. Maybe Tucson is still ok? Pittsburgh? Nah, at that point I'd rather move to another country. Sorry for the ramble, but it's a subject that weighs on me every day. Anyone else share similar sentiments?
@Erika5 Dude I lived there from 1999 onward, way before people like you dexribe moved in. People like I was describing moved to those hoods bc they were cheap and not totally safe, which allows one time to actually work on art, not just pose they are an artist. This is the progression: artists move to area. area gets a cool cache to it. which then attracts more bougie people bc they want to glom off of said vibe, and then in come all the expensive Danish furniture store and cheese shops. and then the artists and locals who actually gave that area its vibe can't afford it anymore, so they leave, and then that area just becomes another Brentwood for all intents and purposes. I couldn't afford it bc I was spending my time actually pursuing my creative endeavors which yeah involves not working a shit job to pay overpriced rent, etc. And no, I don't have that attitude. I don't like people who think they're better than anyone else, regardless of whatever walk of life they're in. You're not exactly the first person to realize that hipsters who don't make art and sit around at coffee shops all day not doing anything are annoying, so please save the judgement for someone you've actually met. Best of luck to you.
Americans from other states didn't ruin it, illegal immigrants from other countries that came and stayed instead of being deported did. If it weren't for them, there would be plenty of room for migrating Americans to enjoy their land.

There`s alot of housing, they don`t want trash living in them, turning everything into a drug house or brothel, sending cops to the buildings over domestic violence and damaging the properties in itself.
I left California in 2019 and it sucked. I made good friends over there. Although I’ve spent a feed years there I’ve grown to love the state but even I saw the rapid changes while I was there. This exodus has to do with bad policy, high taxes, and over regulation. Believe me a lot of folks didn’t want to leave.
I left in 2017 and my only regret is not leaving sooner. I absolutely hated the move at first, but then after a couple of months, I became more glad with my decision to leave.
Am I the only one who has not missed a single video since I found this channel? / including the bonus I mean... the value that this channel provides is on a whole another level BRAVO 👏
You can ask people in shit hole states like Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, etc. who are dead last in education, poverty and many other metrics why they keep voting Republican. It isn't a R vs D, they are different sides of the same coin. It's class warfare that's the issue.
Jorge Martinez do u really thinks that by voting blue, it will make change? No it would only make it worse. Just look at Cali and New York used to be a good states, but now it’s just trash and many are leaving. Voting Democrat on those Red state will be suicidal.
@@ck_banana_noob7145 1. California has the best year-around overall climate of just about any state in the union. Can't argue with that. By enlarge we Californians hate snow. If you look at the map the only states that leaves are NV, AZ, NM, TX, and the rest of Southern States. All basically "red" states. Though NV and NM are blue now. Some people have been moving to WA and OR because the climate isn't as severe. 2. Cost. California is supper populated. Fact. Home prices are ridiculous because we can't build up like in NY because of earthquakes (NY can't build out because of lack of space). When I contemplated moving out of California about 6 years ago, I looked at teacher pay across the states and the only comparable pay was in cold states like the Northeast and Illinois. Everywhere else basically pay for teachers suck. I though that maybe with the equity of my home's sale I could buy cash in FL and not have a mortgage. When I did the numbers, the loss in pay was way higher than the cost of living decreases. Plus FL is to darn humid and I rather dear with earthquakes than multiple yearly hurricanes. I suspect other people do it because of taxes and that's fine. Everyone needs to do what's best for them. Supply and demand. As less people demand CA, cost of living will decline and the opposite will happen in those other states.
If your an empty shell, a puppet and your virtue has no connection to california, then you have no business living in california. You can`t recycle trash, Im sorry to say many of the people living there act like pieces of disposable garbage. Wicked people are dead people, there are deceivers and fake. People like the fruit off the land and everyone is looking for answers but there swine. Good things cannot be given to swine, everything about california is bigger and better = quality. Everyone is in competition with the good of the land and there objectives are to tear things apart. I say step over the swine and make them leave. California should be about peace.
Thats why so many Californians moving here to the Denver Co metro area. Thats why we are starting to have the same problems. Over crowding traffic high home prices sprawl homelessness. Is making alot of people leave and move of here to.

@@Misaka-gt5yj pretty much all of the things you listed is a result of the fact that so many people want to live in LA. It’s the dream place for everyone, and when a place gets overpopulated of course it will have issues. However it’s still a dream life. The jobs pay so much. The weather is amazing. The culture is amazing. The people are beautiful af, some of the hottest in the world. And it’s liberal! You can do what you want be who you are without being judged for it. It’s the American dream, y’all right wingers can’t handle the fact that nobody wants to live in a shitty red state and it shows
LA is more than just Hollywood, more than just entertainment, more than just downtown. LA county is sprawling with 10 million inhabitants. Scientific industries are big there as well -- ie. CalTech, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Mt. Wilson Observatory, and top universities like UCLA and USC. In 2028, the Summer Olympics will be held in LA. Thus, public transportation system is currently being revamped and the city has a plan to clean up downtown to accommodate for the millions of visitors for this event. I moved to LA four year ago, and I love it. The history, the art, the diversity, the weather. If you choose the right industry, LA is a great place to live!
you are dreaming if you think transportation is going to be "fixed" - it's not possible to build an efficient transportation system - maybe 30 years ago
There are many liberal places that aren’t poorly run homeless camps. Stop blaming everything on broad categories of people instead of voting out the specific politicians who did this.
@@bigmona2741 it wasn’t even politicians that did this. LA is one of the best places to live on earth if you have the means and liberalism is one of the reasons why it’s so great. Yes, I was thinking about how Amazon continued to succeed when NYC refused Amazon’s efforts to locate in NYC. Amazon continues to thrive, but not NYC. It is easy for cities to stop economic opportunities, but not so easy to economically thrive.
Moved to Phoenix 2 years ago and it worked out well. One of the best decisions I ever made. One way to gauge the health of a city is to look at how families are doing . Primarily middle class families. When the families start leaving or breaking up it often leaves an empty society
I was born and raised in LA. I love my city and proud to be from here. But I do agree with the video. It's really expensive here. Many people here have 2 jobs to be able to survive. I have considered moving out myself.
You're the first to mention it here, but I can definitely cosign. Bria and Chrissy (a couple of my fav TH-camrs) left stating that was their major reason. I imagined her doing well moving to England but didn't think she would move from her house in WeHo, THEN, even Stevie left, and she had responded to Bria and Chrissy months before DEFENDING "her city", never really saw it coming.
My girl Jade Fox finally moved with her girlfriend Jaden, and nobody gave LA a chance like Jade. Ari Fitz (aka Arrow) went back to NY and I just saw the writing on the wall.
True. However, I've lived in LA for the past 2 years and I love the Hispanic community here (I'm Vietnamese). Almost all are very honest, down to earth, and hardworking. I found LA "white" natives to be extremely snobby and boring AF, and almost all of them are like plastic copies of celebrities.
Not anymore. The music scene in L A during the 80s was unprecedented. The Whiskey A Go Go, the Roxy, the troubadour, The Forum and the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach. Any musician that you can think of played at these venues. There was only 3 million people in LA. You could go Club to Club. Now no music scene and 12 million people. It's done
@@jabreck1934 And that's on period. I remember a few years ago when I realized I don't even enjoy going on crate digging excursions up and down Cali anymore. The film industry, just as it originally moved from NY to LA, is now moving to The A. And for the record Tyler Perry is TRAAASH.
If leftist was a state it would be california went from beauty to blunder. Damn how times have changed from me wanting to live my life in california to not wanting to come usa entirely . My grandmother left LA in the 70s because it was unsafe environment for children along with the drug and homeless problems. She came back in the 90's to be with family, but she said "LA is still the same but worse at the same time". Now she's financially stuck in a place she never wanted to come back too.😓 But my goal is to get the hell outta California with her all together I grew up here but I won't miss a damn thing
I aint even mad at you. My maternal grandmother was raising her 7 girls and 3 boys in Watts and found a way to move her and her kids out when shit got real in the 60's.

New york is not far off, it's getting there slowly. I am neither democrat or republican, but I do lean left, however, having no balanced between democrats and republicans in a state gives too much power to one side and brings about far more inequality in many social and economical aspects of life.
The vast majority of my relatives have only ever lived in LA, then in the 90's gradually a couple aunties an an uncle moved to NC, AZ or TX. My spirit left LA a good 4 years ago. I lived in SD two different periods of time for a total of 5 years and found my general quality of life to be much better--down to the air quality. I left The Daygo for Atlanta in 2017 to link up with what I thought was family, now it's just me again, re-populating my shit with much more worthwhile individuals.
@@0Lu.Lu0 haha I moved from SD and love it there, even consider moving back or leave the state all together... but I do love my life here in California so its a matter of time I get enough reasons to leave for good...

I grew up in los ángeles, moved out to Berkeley, since Ucla did not admit me. Years later it was the feeling of being away from parents brought me back. Now i take care of my parents it the same house i grew up in, and its worth the emotional value of toughing it out. LA, will make you value some basics. It will make you stronger for your next stage in life, what ever it may be. Thanks for an acurate review, yet the working class has retained the same life style, not much changed.
The main and most important reason joe Rogan left California is because of the tax laws. He’d save millions of dollars by just moving to Texas. Everything else is secondary.
Yes I agree these guys are complaining fine, but really they are self-serving. There r gonna be tons of opportunities in California after the transition period.
Atlanta is #1 in the world for film production, tv, movie, commercials, more studios and larger studios, every major player in the film industry has already moved and set up shop in Atlanta, they got it all.
Liberal policies, even if the mean well, always have nasty consequences. But people don't want to think about that because they want to "feel good", so liberal policies usually make people more emotional and less rational.

I might be moving there for work soon. Im a Texan living in Germany right now and it’s beautiful and peaceful. I’m worried the personality of LA will break me. The only reason I’m considering is because it’s a dream job that I’m being offered.
Personally I love California but housing is the number 1 reason I won’t move there. I’ve lived in El Paso, San Antonio, Philadelphia, NYC, and now Houston and housing has always been obtainable (with NYC the issue is taxes in my opinion) but California takes the cake. It needs to do bold housing reform and improve transit and ease up on taxes. Even NY at least got the memo on two of the three!
LA was fantastic in the sixties thru the mid nineties. Such energy and creativity. I worked in television in the seventies and WOW!! Law and order existed except in the worst parts of town. I am looking at an area in LA not far from USC. The median household income w/in a 2-mile radius is $56,646. Per the MLS the median home price is $825,000. Saving 5% or $2,682 of income annually toward a 20% $165,000 downpayment would require 62 years. Of course, that assumes static home pries. In 62 years, that $165,000 isn't going to make a dent in the down payment. That is why people are leaving. BTW, per a source, countywide in LA the median home price is almost $765,000.
After 21 years of hearing people say, "Never give up on your Hollywood dreams," I gave up. But started a new dream of living a MUCH higher quality of life. I left in 2014, and haven't been back once.
@Bob and births(negative population growth) may go into negative in the future too, due to below replacement birth rates. There is no point in struggling for the sake of struggling only. When it comes to standard of living, money matters most not location. ALUX you have always been an eye opener and pot of wisdom. Being born in 3rd world country is not bad for an aspiring entrepreneur, there are many areas where development is yet to happen and one can establish and grow his business comparatively easier than developed countries. That is true, the part about easier start up, but I think quality of life and entreprenuerial opportunity or facility are best treated as separate topics due to the shear breadth of subjectives. There is a munimum standard or quality of living everyone should have so the playing field when one wants to start whatever, is level. Not everyone WANTS to be entreprenuers or millionaires and beyond and that is something worthy of respect and accomodating, as none of us have the Right to compel people to work hard to be either. Some people just want to work making a comfortable living income and leave it at that and I think people all over the world are slowly maturing intellectually to see that as perfectly acceptable instead of shameful and worthy of economic punishment via policy.
I have lived in LA for 5 years now and met so many people struggling two jobs just to live here and I don’t get it. Pre-pandemic I was making a decent living off one job and also going to school. I don’t understand why a lot of people would rather suffer to call LA home (especially if they’re not from here) rather than be honest and be like “bro, I can’t make it here, time for me to move back to wherever I came from.” The reason I’m considering leaving is the lockdowns and rolling blackouts. The pandemic has lifted the veil of LA since a lot of things that make LA aren’t open.
Hmmm.... so to fix LA, you’d have to get rid of the traffic, overcrowding, the homelessness, crime, taxes, drastically reduce the cost of housing, and get rid of the hard drugs (keep the marijuana - they got that part right). I don’t care about fake people or politics, but the rest of that stuff is a deal breaker.
@HeMustWin00 You might not agree with the weed stuff if you live right next to people who smoke 24/7 and basically never sleep. One of the reasons I left for Texas.

I left last month. All your reasons here are spot on, but it's a matter of how much you can tolerate of each category and what's your breaking point. What did it for me is the crime. My wife got her purse stolen. How? The thief ran up to her with a knife, cut the strap and kept running. He never broke stride. Which means he has lots of practice. When I called the police they took my number and said a detective will contact you. Two weeks not a single phone call. When I called, they basically told be low level crime is not investigated anymore. The anti-law enforcement movement and defunding of the police means only violent crime with injury is investigated. And then my daughter in the back seat while we were going through LA to her gymnastics competition had to watch a homeless man pull his pants down and defecate on the sidewalk and wipe his ass with a Styrofoam cup. I watched it too. Massive tent cities, trash everywhere, and try to walk the sidewalks without seeing a used hypodermic laying in the gutter. LA is a third world country and I will never step foot in CA again. I now live in a suburb of Indianapolis. So clean and no traffic and no homeless and no people shitting in public and the police take ALL crime serious. And the amount of money I now have in the bank is staggering. I keep going over all my bills thinking I forgot to pay something. Yes, it's not a warm and sunny, but who cares?
Last time I was there 20 homeless ask me for money, I was walking on the path and full smell of marijuana I think I got hi there, then the skate park there I found few guys pass out drinking. I don’t know nothing to be really loud to show to the visitors
Venice is a dump now. It used to be nice a long time ago. It’s tent city now. Don’t get me wrong I feel for the homeless but LA is just going to get even worse. I got out, I never wanted to live somewhere else but it’s just gotten so bad I couldn’t take it anymore
I dont know maybe bc I'm not part of the high wage earners but even if I was, I think I would resent spending more for basic necessities than if I was earning the same salary in a more moderate COL location but being able to spend less...I think even wealthier people are getting tired at the high taxes
As an Atlantan like you, I would like for all these out-of-towners to pack up and go home and don't come back. I hope the COVIDRecession clears a lot of them out of here.
The main prolem with Los Angeles is that rent is to expensive . Paying $2500 to $3500 monthly for rent while making $23,000 a year is to much. LA need to build a train and subway system like New York and London to solve the traffic jam problem.
Ha #15. Having lived there for 13 years, I can say that's true. I did meet alot of great people though from all walks of life though and some of my fondest moments are from being there. But like someone mentioned before, the shine wore off and I realized I was in my early 30s and living in all that BS was just not what I wanted when I was in my 20s. So long cali, it was fun but I returned to where I'm from and where I knew I would always end up anyways. My heart, my home, Texas
I have lived in both New York City and Los Angeles and I love both places. I am in the process of moving back to southern California (for the third time) and as I did the first time I lived there, I will be living at the beach. Nothing like it in America!
La is awesome! Such a melting pot of cultures from all over the world. Been here 20 years. Worked as a consultant for many years traveled all over the US and always so relieved to land back at LAX. Yes it’s expensive, but thats because it’s an exciting place to live and demand to live here is higher than supply of housing. There are MANY surrounding suburbs that are less expensive and still able to enjoy the treasures the city has to offer. Food from every country, beautiful beaches and forest land, hiking, surfing, skiing not too far away. Pretty much you name it LA got it. The hollywood stereotypes are true but only relate to a small fraction of the residents of LA. This video is not a fair or realistic portrayal of the city IMHO.
All this video did is prove that there is room for entrepreneurs to create solutions in LA. I'm an entrepreneur in LA and the networks i've made here all agree LA is a tough place to be right now. However, they also say LA has never been more ready to implement new rewarding solutions. For Entrepreneurs your legacy is built on the problems you solve. I've always believed that adversity births innovation. If Los Angeles woes are increasing, it's time to roll up our sleeves and build it better. No one built anything great by running away. The world is ours to make better. I don't care where it is, everyone deserves to live better. Start with your city then spread your solutions to other places that need them. and Joe Rogan lives right out side of LA in Bell Canyon- Most of the wealthy live out of but near LA. Nothing worth having in live comes easy. Thanks for the video Alux!
I am pretty sure that Joe Rogan, like many successful entrepreneurs, recently moved to Austin, Texas for better opportunities. Actually, quite a few have done extremely well breaking away from LA. Successful entrepreneurs seek the highest returns on their time and capital by finding the optimal opportunities. Regarding the exodus of people from LA who work and pay taxes, the biggest benefit will be more room for more homeless in LA. As you say, there really is a bright side to every problem!
Moving out of LA next month too I’m over it. I’m paying so much money in rent I can’t save to buy a home. Plus the people are soooooo fake it’s crazy. If you can’t help them then they don’t want to hang around you. Don’t move to LA. Go to another city the only thing good about LA is the weather but at what costs though
The Ben Shapiro Show is also relocating to Nashville. I never had any desire to live in LA. I'm glad I never lived there though based on how terrible it is.
The situation is terrible in a lot of places. Los Angeles is just receiving the most attention these days because so many people are angry about how the state is being governed. I live in NY, and the closer you are to the city, the worse it gets. This is what happens when you have too many people screaming for more and more gov't services. People forget who bank rolls it. The more demands a gov't has to meet, the more money it's going to demand from its citizens. As the old saying goes, "the mousetrap only works because the mouse doesn't know the cheese isn't free." You literally have multi generation families living off of Welfare, which is supposed to be temporary aid to get you back on your feet. Too many politicians are trying to buy votes with taxpayer money. Career politicians want dependent people because they won't vote for change. The guy sitting at home getting paid for his vote doesn't have to work so he's not going to vote for someone who wants to put people back to work. Cut public assistance to the bone. Help the disabled, but stop paying the able to sit on the couch. Workfare is a much better option. Work for your benefits, or don't receive them. It will encourage people to find jobs.
So...while you may have some points. I think your assessment if off. I grew up in poverty off government assistance. The opportunities were slim to guarantee I would stay on government assistance. I left to try & make a life off government assistance, but all the government does is take. If you want people off government assistance, you have to give the tools & hire them with pay to get off government assistance. All problems you see now is the government trying to keep old systems in place. Change the system get better results, including the ones you & I are looking for
Fellow Californians leaving: I get it, contemplated it myself but keep running and eventually there will not be anywhere to run, we need to fight for all of our states in this great union. We need to stand and fight, Vote! Not just for the primaries but for all state and local elections.
@@Cahluvca Very true but so many people I know who have been apathetic to politics are waking up and are now making it a priority to vote for the first time in their lives. Been here 37 years and soooo ready to move away... maybe to another country even. Traffic just gets worse. Air quality sucks. Prices and taxes big money suck.
Georrick Austin some people are born here.
Georrick Austin doesn’t make you a follower. More people actually stay in their shitty hometowns and don’t move, those are the real “followers”
YEP!
I totally get you. It has changed so much, it’s just not worth it living there anymore, especially if you have family. Utah is beautiful
I went to salt lake with my family for Labor Day & it’s the shittiest place I’ve ever been to I’m so happy I live in California cuz Utah is so depressing there’s nothing to do

I’m born and raised in Los Angeles, 25 years old and I can confirm this is all very true. I’m moving to Phoenix AZ next month.
Congratulations!
Meaning that you are not a part of the top 10%. That’s exactly why this is about why LA is not the place to live if you are not in the top 5 or 10%.
Steve Jovan great point, if you are part of the top 5% or top 10%, you can live anywhere you want. Thank you for your observations.
Rick Blaine
Yes just like NY and SF.

LA Rocks!!! Was my favorite T-shirt in the 80's
There is always San Berdoo! :)

Brother, where are you going?
I hope you don’t me asking.✌🏿
Congratulations!
There are Positives and Negatives everywhere in the World! Stick to Positivity. I STILL LOVE LA ❤
The Ben Shapiro Show is also relocating to Nashville. I never had any desire to live in LA. I'm glad I never lived there though based on how terrible it is.
I worked in the movie industry for 20 years. I left 10 years ago. I hate the place. I will never go back.
I almost hated the region after working for Disney. But I recovered. :-) I love California.
@@jazzlover10000 I'm still in California, but a LONG way from L.A. or S.F.! I have cows for neighbors now.
As the old saying goes, "the mousetrap only works because the mouse doesn't know the cheese isn't free."
You literally have multi generation families living off of Welfare, which is supposed to be temporary aid to get you back on your feet.
Not enough are willing to vote different...
Yes. California in many ways is a sort of template.
@@Cahluvca Very true but so many people I know who have been apathetic to politics are waking up and are now making it a priority to vote for the first time in their lives. Its making me hopeful that things could change. I know I will continue to spread the word to those willing to listen. California is my home and I don't want to leave.
Been here 37 years and soooo ready to move away... maybe to another country even. Traffic just gets worse. Air quality sucks. Prices and taxes big money suck. Even the climate change affecting the temp. Fires and smoke still affecting whether I can go outside or not!
Not looking forward to another 5 days of 100 degrees.
Move to Armenia its the best
Best wishes for your exodus!
Yeah the weather been trippin for a good minute now.
There are also mosquitos now.
I hear Medellin is nice...for real.
