The calling makes sense, but she collected herself really quickly. If five hours was all that passed, it's likely that her phone was still charged, if it went with her. I could also see phone companies keeping lines active of those that disappeared. It's the immediate return and self collection I don't buy.

Hulk is underrated everybody talks about iron man's snap but Hulk came forward to snap his fingers risked his life.
Yeah but hulk knew he’d probably survive since the stones give off mainly gamma radiation but tony knew he would die by wielding the stones. And the relevance of tony’s snap goes all the way back to the first avengers movie when cap said to tony “I’ve seen the film. You’re not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay across a wire and let your teammate walk over you” (or something like that).

From day one he's been seen as a mindless monster, a creature of rage and destruction who couldnt be controlled, but as time went on we saw that he was akin to a super powered child, who was just as scared of becoming Bruce as Bruce was scared of becoming Hulk.
They settled thier differences (off screen which was such a missed opportunity) and became the best of both worlds. The strength, confidence and power of The Hulk along with the intelligence and level headedness of Bruce Banner.
It was this version of the Hulk that was the only one capable of commiting to The Snap, 'Pure Hulk' would not have known nor cared how to use The Infinity Stones, and most likely would have instinctively taken himself back to Sakaar, where he was happiest.
And Bruce? Well, its clear that on his own he would have died before even being able to snap his fingers.
It was only by the two of them accepting each other, they were able to bring everyone back.
And to top it all off, isnt it rather poetic, that the one Avenger constantly accosiated with destruction, is the one to restore everyone back to life?

@@CharanV123 But still...you can't downplayed one action in favor for the other. Tony's Mark 85 protected him from absorbing the pain of wielding all 6 stones (BEFORE HE SNAPPED). While Professor Hulk felt all the pain of absorbing all 6 Infinity stones, and easily could've been paralyzed for life after he snapped his fingers because Banner's soul is in control of the body this time, not the Hulk's soul. Even though Tony snapped away Thanos and his army, Professor Hulk brought everybody back.

bro thats the reason everyone is in their suits. They don't know what can happen in the snap. Like Tony also mentioned in the beginning of the movie they don't want to mess up more than Thanos already did. They really have no clue whats going to happen so they are prepared. Also it kind of setups the next part of the movie which is the final battle and the heores are already dressed except Thor who knows he can magically dress up instantly. Very clever writing and direction.

In August 2018 I lost my wife to cancer. We've both been fans of all the MCU movies since Iron Man. We couldn't watch Infinity War at the cinema because she was starting to get worse in her fight. We watched it I admit via a pirate copy, and on the cinema me and my kids alone (they were children still, they have to live their life and experience it regardless, also wife's orders). Then she lost the fight in August as mentioned. I watched this movie with my kids, an eerie feeling without her at my side, but THIS scene, when Hawkeye receives her wife's call.. Of all the incredible scenes this movie has, in this moment I just started crying when he saw the phone and her wife's name and face on the phone. My kids were shocked too. I instinctively grabbed my phone even though I'm fully conscious it was only a movie. All the actors and writers involved in this saga truly deserve praise for making one believe, like a man whose last name was Reeve made me believe as a kid a man can fly.
Edit - Thanks for all of your support, it was truly unexpected and a good sign that there's still lots of good people left in this world! Curiuosly enough, this month's marks four years since she passed away, but she will never be forgotten.
She lives on through the children.

I like how Thor and cap both talked to banner with references to their own experiences. Thor telling banner to take it off to not hurt himself or die, cap asking if he’s ok because he’s had experience pulling through tough situations.

Yeah its harmless once every couple of months but try getting hit by radiation all day everyday without a wall
The reason for that is that if they didn't take any safety precautions themselves, they would take radiation doses much more frequently. They do x-rays day in and day out, you get on select occassions.
People complain that we didn’t see Hulk get a rematch with Thanos but I’d argue that this was a much sweeter revenge for the character. Not only did he single handedly undo all the years of hard work Thanos did collecting the stones but he proved that he’s not just monster capable of only destruction, but a being capable of unimaginable creation. He built the time machine, he got the stones, and he was the only character with not only the body capable of using them but with a mind clear enough to accomplish the goal. This wasn’t just Hulk’s moment, it was Bruce Banner defying the odds and defeating his inner demons. He didn’t just beat Thanos, he undid everything Thanos had achieved ensuring his effort and death were in vein.
Gotta say this is my favorite take on the Hulk and Bruce. It's a lot of show and don't tell I'd say

1:09 I just noticed that when Thor yells "take it off," Captain America says "no wait, Bruce are you okay?" This might be a reference to Captain America the first avenger, when Peggy carter tells the lab people to shut the super serum experiment down after hearing Steve scream in pain, but Steve was like, "no, dont! i can do this!"

People are saying Hulk needed his revenge against Thanos. He got it exactly at this moment. Undoing what Thanos did and always wanted is a perfect revenge.
@@Vinn_BR they could have turned him back into savage Hulk for the final battle, the gamma radiation from the snap could have made him stronger because Hulk is made out of gamma radiation. Then we would have gotten both this and also a rematch in hand to hand combat.
What If Zombies was, in my mind, the character arc that Bruce should've had with the Hulk. "Wouldn't it be great to be the good guy for once?!" Showing Hulk that he doesn't have to be the wild card if he only listens to Bruce, then they could have the best of both brains and brawn.
The finale doesn't even have to change as much, just have Professor Hulk stop Thanos' second snap instead of freaking Captain Marvel. Have Carol lead the female Avengers after taking out his ship and that'll be it for her contribution.

Steve seems to recognize Banner's determination to see things through.
You can really see in this scene how Thor grew to care about Bruce during Ragnarok, you can hear how genuinely panicked he is and would rather he take it off than his mistakes getting reversed.
He waited way too long to snap… *but it was of course for dramatic effect.*
No, he was trying to bring Natasha back as well, but the stones wouldn't let him do that so he couldn't snap. He was only able to snap when he stopped trying to bring her back.

Everybody else needs a shield or some sort of armor, but Thor _is_ the armor.
Hulk snap is so underrated. Imagine your feeling when you're about to wear the gauntlet and snap with your arm and everyone just using every protection they can except you.
I bet it feels like having your hand put in a boiling pot of water.
Hulk is virtually indestructible, they significantly weakened him in the MCU so his power didn't overshadow other Avengers, remember when Banner tried to off himself. Didn't work. Like Deadpool said "even I can't kill me"
0:26 This is what I love about Tony: in Infinity War, Thanos destroyed tons of his nano-tech bots when Iron Man made his shield, he saw that problem and now has a holo-shield that if hit, doesn't waste nano-bots

1:35 Okay, in all fairness, the base was on lockdown and everyone focused on having Bruce use the Gauntlet to reverse the other Thanos's work, and everyone is concerned about the damage it's doing to Bruce's banner, but still, with the amount of noise, you'd think someone would've heard the sound made by a giant spaceship popping out of the adjacent room and blowing out the ceiling. That should've set off an alarm. You also wonder how no one noticed a spaceship large enough to block out the sun was hovering overhead until about five seconds before the first missile strike.

Thanos should've stayed in his timeline. He should've let the events of infinity war happen and then use the stones to kill the remaining avengers to prevent the events of endgame to happen. Instead he completely exposed himself without the stones to the avengers who to his knowledge gathered all the stones
@Magido89 you are very correct Thanos should have stayed in his own timeline and waited 4 years later for the events of infinity war to happen to kill the remaining avengers who would undo his work by time travelling back in time and collecting the stones from the past before thanos collects them and the biggest inconsistency in Avengers Endgame was that 2014 Nebula should have not not felt pain or leaked out holographic footage of Rhodey and Nebula stealing the power stone in 2014 from the 2023 Nebulas recording because this was 2023 Nebula from the original timeline and 2014 Nebula was from a different timeline so there should have been no feedback loop since both of them are from a different timeline. If 2023 Nebula had travelled back in time to the original timeline in 2014 then the 2014 Nebula would have felt pain and leaked out holographic footage from the 2023 Nebula since both of them are from the same timeline and would cause a feedback loop since they are both from the same timeline. This was so far the biggest inconsistency in Avengers Endgame.

I can't believe the strength difference between hulk and thanos....ability to control the infinity gauntlet just proves it!
@Dhinam Oru Thirukkural fax, you can even see the difference with Thanos. The two times he wielded the full stark gauntlet he was visibly struggling to contain the sheer amount of power and in more pain/discomfort than with the infinity gauntlet. Presumably the way the IG was created it had the ability to act almost like a nullifier, taking a big chunk of the power, whereas the stark gauntlet just delivered the full force to the wearer as it didnt have those properties.
Then again even with the stark gauntlet, Thanos tanked it alot better than Hulk did (he didnt get sent to his knees in sheer agony and overwhelmed by the power), and we can guess Hulk would have struggled with the IG more than Thanos did, so the original comment still holds some merit. Plus Thanos this time was trying to erase the whole fucking universe (as in the physical universe itself, life and all) and still tanked it better than Hulk who was simply trying to bring half of life back.

Can't believe it occurred to me ONLY now: Just like Strange gave the time stone to save Stark (so that Stark can do the "I am Iron Man" thing), Heimdall gave up his life to save Banner/Hulk knowing he would be the one to return everyone! Heimdall has the gift of sight!

Actually it was Ancient One who believed in Hulk as she says we are counting on you, we all are.
All Heimdall did was just follow Thors orders. If you look in the beginning of Infinity war, Thor glances at Heimdall when Hulk got defeated from Thanos to send him to Dr Strange as Strange was the last person to meet Thor when he was in Midgard the last time. He doesn't know about the whereabouts of The Avengers. Heimdall didn't even knew that he could get killed for sending Banner home. It was Ancient One who knew Banner was meant for something great not Heimdall, he can't see the future.

@@hamsterminator That was what always came to my mind too. Those who came back from the snap would simply freeze to death instantly in the cold dark space of nothingness because the earth, hell, even the entire Milky Way galaxy is not at that exact spot five years ago anymore.
Russo brothers already answered this. Essentially bruce snapped them back to a safe place so for example you were in a plane, you will be snapped back into the airport, unfortunately if the pilot of the plane got dusted and the plane crashed, those people who died in the crash would not be resurrected

The “unfortunate soul”, along with every snapped individual who was in a plane or helicopter was blipped back on the ground as a safe alternative.
Directors apparently confirmed in an interview that banner thought of that and brought the blipped back in a safe way.

I actually like what they did with the Hulk in this movie. He had his shot against Thanos and proved to be woefully underpowered, and now shows to be more than just a fighter. I look forward to seeing where his character arc takes him next. Maybe another Hulk form?
More than just a fighter how? A scientist? What does he do that Bruce Banner the scientist could not have done? We need the Hulk, not just a big green Bruce Banner. You're not going to see his character arc go anywhere now. He's done. They pretty much ruined him.

So smart Hulk brought them all back and he's still in the picture. I mean the rest of the original six Avengers have gone their separate ways. They're dead, aged, dead and lost to history, relegated to Disney plus, and a retired King off adventuring in space. I enjoyed this turn of events in the Hulk storyline. The plot of dumb green Hulk punch bad guy was getting a little tired and you gotta get fresh material. Sorry you feel that he's ruined. @@Bewarethegr00ve Well we saw the Iron Man, Thor, and Cap punch bad guys in every single movie, and more times than we saw Hulk do it, so I don't get why so many people make a big stink about that, I mean he's the Hulk, he's a superhero, and superheroes fight bad guys. It sucked seeing him benched from all of the greatest action of the MCU for two movies straight and his only good scene is a freaking snap. These movies were our last real chance to see Hulk action on the big screen and it was squandered, that's why its frustrating. All we're going to get now is a cameo from him.to promote a new hero, and that's pretty much it.
@@rupert1862 I agree and disagree with you, it's hard to have more fight scenes when you can't have solo movies, plus they won't focus as much on the original 6 (except for Thor, though I think maybe their movie is more about Jane) and so they wanted a "mini arc" with Bruce starting from Ragnarok (being unconscious for 2 years, needing him against Thanos, a union with him). Even the 4 projects that will come with the original heroes, are to give a future to another hero, so they had to make that mini arc before phase 4.

They had no problem giving one to all the other heroes, did they? The arc was really a half ass arc, almost like they only did it for the sake of saying , "Hey, we gave him an arc!" But it was lazily written, they honestly did not put much love into it, and the end, the Hulk was literally an afterthought to the Russos and their writers. I really don't think the they cared that much about the Hulk, and they definitely did not understand his character at all.
Hands down, my favorite version of MCU Hulk. Mr. Ruffalo nails it, the CGI is amazing, and the combination of Hulk and Bruce, with Bruce driving, is clear. The character looks, acts and feels real. And I love that he is a big softie, and a huge brain inside the hulking body. This was my favorite scene of MCU Hulk, and that is saying a LOT, because there are so many good scenes. But this was his ultimate revenge against Thanos. Not of body, but of mind, body and spirit. A lot of drive, a lot of intelligence, a lot of courage and love, and a single snap, undid all of that work that Thanos did.

The reason why Hulk's arm was basically destroyed compared to Thanos wasn't just because of the Nano Gauntlet, but because of the energy required to perform the reversal of the snap.
It takes far less energy to destroy than it does to create. Thanos merely accelerated the decay process that comes with the natural order while Hulk reversed it, breaking the laws of nature which requires an insane amount of power. He actually got off easy.
That's all teddybears and handjobs, but let's not pretend you didn't just pull that straight out of your ass. Nothing like this was ever stated in the movies.
Plus, Thanos did take damage after the snap. Go back and watch it again. His arm looked similar to Hulk's.

Bruce is truly the ONLY reason why the Avengers won. Bruce was the only one capable of successfully snapping their fingers, if any of the others tried it would instantly kill them and the snap would not have worked. If Bruce never snapped and brought everyone back, Thanos would have definitely killed the remaining Avengers, which means Tony wouldn't have been able to snap and save the universe.
Thanos easily knocked out Iron Man and Thor and Cap right before the portals spawned with everybody. If nobody came back, The only other ones left were Rocket, Ant Man, Rhodey, Clint, and Bruce/Hulk. None of them would have stood a chance against Thanos if it was just them left.

The fact that Banner never really fought after becoming at peace with himself always bothered me immensely, because in the comics, the few times this happens, he was by far one of the most powerful and dangerous beings in the universe. I really feel like they showed how Banner could be more dangerous than the Hulk in earlier movies, like when he played Natasha in India or when he said he could break Scarlett Witch's neck. But with Hulk-Banner, we never really got another of those moments. I feel that's a big lost opportunity. But this scene does help to make up for it.

I like how Thanos, Bruce, and Tony all snapped their fingers for this. They could’ve easily just closed their fists, but they went for style points instead.
I always liked the fact that the stones can only be wielded by those who are themselves already powerful beings (and even then at great risk and harm to themselves). Solves quite a few narrative issues writing-wise.

Just how powerful is Thanos, he was easily using the Stones in infinity war, even after the snap, only the gauntlet got messed up while he was unscathed. He only almost died when he destroyed the stones.
Those birds experienced being snapped, blipped and disintegrated all within a matter of seconds.
I wish there was a scene in the Soul Stone realm where Bruce saw Nat, just like Thanos with Gamora. To explain that he wanted to bring her back but couldn't.

My theory of why the effects of the nanogauntlet were far more devastating that the original one, is that the original gauntlet is made of Uru, the strongest metal in the MCU so far, being a mighty metal it absorbs a lot more energy that the nanotech used in the nanogauntlet, when a stone was inserted into the original gauntlet, there was a slightly struggle of energy between the gauntlet and it's user, we see that when Thanos gets the time stone, the space stone and the mind stone, which were really short compared to what happens with the nanogauntlet, we see the stones glow like crazy and spray energy everywhere, because they don't have anywhere else to go, other than the user itself, we see when Thanos wears the gauntlet further with all 6 infinity stones, it takes a significant amount of time for it to finish the loadup, in fact, we never see the gauntlet becoming stable with energy of the stones in the movie.
TLDR: Nano tech sucks, Uru is mighty
All this typing made me wonder why didn't they went to the garden and took the original gauntlet to do the snap instead, Banner and Thanos got the same size apparently

To those wondering:
The reason why Hulk was taking SO much pain and why it
took too long, it's because of several factors taking place
here.
1. The gauntlet they have in here is made of a titanium alloy.
Thanos had his gauntlet made of Uru. That's why he was
able to withhold the stones with no problem
2. Thanos got each stone one at a time, letting his body
adapt to the power of each respective stone. Hulk took all 6
stones at the same time so his body wasn't prepped for the
power they had.
3. Hulk was trying to also bring Natasha back, but the Soul
Stone was rejecting him trying to bring her because once
she sacrificed herself, there's no going back. That's why at
the end before Steve time travels he says 'I really tried to
bring her back.
I distinctly remember seeing Captain America in that suit and realizing “This will be the last time I see him in that suit”.
