My favorite Sonic game is easily Unleashed. Say what you want about the werehog stages but the ost overall, story beats, Sonic and Chip's relationship, and the fact that you can explore all over the world and learn so much about the cultures of so many ppl is so GOOOD (imo) and overtakes any gripes I have with the werehog gameplay which in general I didn't find it to be that bad and actually liked it a fair bit.

I actually have that Sonic character for my Mugen. It has so many different transformations and attacks the problem is that the A.I. Is trash, and he has low damage and defence. It’s like whoever made him tried to balance and ended up making him suck….kinda like what Sega’s been doing. (Btw my favorite sonic game is Adventure 2 and despite its flaws I also really like 06)
It's not even that. His base moveset sucks compared to, say, Shadow's by the same artist, and he barely transforms due to his AI. Even when he does, if it's not Super or Hyper (usually only at low health), it's the Werehog due to Werehog not having any meter requirements. It's a matter of RNG, and because of how he's built, he's either stuck with his Base moveset, or the even worse Werehog moveset.

I feel like it should be tankier with more defense and damage, but it seems like the creator put more thought into spectacle instead of practicality. Like this thing has straight up instakills when its lower then 50% health but ive never seen the cpu go for one. I perfer using Sonic_TP. Much better cpu and damage output.

Unless you go in and mess with some values like I did, he's unlikely to ever bust those out when/if he has the meter for it. I really don't think stat boosts are necessary. Again, Shadow's a fine character. That's because he has decent base form Strings, and is smart enough to cancel String A into B for a longer combo, then airdash after the dunk ender to hit the same combo again for more damage. Base Sonic's combos don't have these advantages. What he needs are better strings as well as a better AI to take advantage of his numerous forms and the rest of his moveset.
I have a question, how do you find and use Mugens? Because I’ve kinda found some Mugens but don’t know how to download them or which base Mugen game to download, it’s been a big road block for me for a while
Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Riders are some of my favorite games of all time. Shadow the Hedgehog was the first video game I owned and I still play both of those games to this day.

Sonic adventure 2 is the best sonic till this day. You can race your friends, the music was amazing “ROLLING AROUND AT THE SPEED OF SOUND” the levels were so well constructed and fun and the boss fights were great. Miss that game
Not to mention the soundtrack especially in zero gravity un-gravity and catch me if you can was straight flames and the fact that every Character had new outfits and their own personal Gear honestly they need to bring riders back I miss Jet and his crew.
I feel like Sonic needs a Sonic Adventure 3 in the style of 1 and 2 with SOME of the cool boosting sections from Generations. Generations did a lot of things right, but it didn’t succeed in bringing back that Adventure style of exploring wide open levels. You had the classic good 2D gameplay and some of the best boost gameplay that they’ve pulled off, but I need that Adventure stuff, man. I think they could even go for a mixture of all three somehow and it would be pretty rad.
Sonic and the Secret Rings was the best sonic. The amount of quality the cutscenes had for 2007 was insane, and the fights and levels were amazing too.

Yes the gameplay wasn't very engaging and hell probably very challenging to work with(assuming cause i never played it, just watched the entire playthrough on yt), but damn did I adore the concept, worlds, story book style of cutscenes for that and the black knight. For me personally I liked sonic and the black knight cause ive always been into the whole medieval, knights, and kingdoms deal. If they actually continued those kinds of games but made them better i'd be pretty happy.
My personal favorite is sonic unleashed, the werehog to shake up the gameplay from regular sonic gameplay did hit. And It was the werehog that pushed me to get into more action oriented games so that game will always be special to me.
Favorite Sonic game? Other than the original Sonic 1 on the Sega Mega Drive (as it was called here in the UK)? Sonic Rush on the DS actually. It's an awesome classic Sonic 2D platformer with a boost meter for a fun modern twist and face melting speed. Highly recommended you check it out, maybe try emulating it if you've never played it and don't wanna drop the money or don't have a DS, DS emulation with Drastic is pretty easy on PC :)
(Answering your question. 3:55.) My favorite sonic game is generations, every time I play it I always enjoy each boss fight it has to offer. (Aside from the god awful time eater.) The 3D stages are fun, this had sonic's gameplay done right although it's a shame the story sucked.
Alright everyone don’t kill me when I say this but my favorite game was sonic the hedgehog 2006 yes it was a glitchy mess yes that kiss scene was weird but I enjoyed it while Sonics story was meh I really enjoyed shadow and silvers story though. Not to mention it has some of my favorite songs aquatic base was so chill, crisis city had a sense of urgency, kingdom valley with its vibrant music, and of course his world, especially the instrumental version. And my biggest reason was it let me play as someone other than sonic don't get me wrong I love the blue blur but I enjoyed playing as shadow and not carrying around some weird gun and silvers powers were pretty cool as long as it wasn't being used on me ITS NO USE PTSD. And hands down besides Eggman Mephiles is one of my favorite villains in sonic history especially in shadows story. Again I know full well it has major issues and I agree with peoples problems with the game but I still enjoy it no none the less. And in all honesty I miss she sonic games had serious stories plus I’d rather play sonic 06 than play sonic forces.

Used to be the adventure games + heroes when I was younger, but now they’ve kinda aged so I like generations better

Sonic and the Secret Rings was the best sonic. The amount of quality the cutscenes had for 2007 was insane, and the fights and levels were amazing too.

Yes the gameplay wasn't very engaging and hell probably very challenging to work with(assuming cause i never played it, just watched the entire playthrough on yt), but damn did I adore the concept, worlds, story book style of cutscenes for that and the black knight.
For me personally I liked sonic and the black knight cause ive always been into the whole medieval, knights, and kingdoms deal.
If they actually continued those kinds of games but made them better i'd be pretty happy.
My personal favorite is sonic unleashed, the werehog to shake up the gameplay from regular sonic gameplay did hit. And It was the werehog that pushed me to get into more action oriented games so that game will always be special to me.
I hope this is interesting. We need a new series like elden ring.

Favorite Sonic game? Other than the original Sonic 1 on the Sega Mega Drive (as it was called here in the UK)? Sonic Rush on the DS actually. It's an awesome classic Sonic 2D platformer with a boost meter for a fun modern twist and face melting speed. Highly recommended you check it out, maybe try emulating it if you've never played it and don't wanna drop the money or don't have a DS, DS emulation with Drastic is pretty easy on PC :)

My favorite sonic game is generations, every time I play it I always enjoy each boss fight it has to offer. (Aside from the god awful time eater.)
The 3D stages are fun, this had sonic's gameplay done right although it's a shame the story sucked.
Alright everyone don’t kill me when I say this but my favorite game was sonic the hedgehog 2006 yes it was a glitchy mess yes that kiss scene was weird but I enjoyed it while Sonics story was meh I really enjoyed shadow and silvers story though. Not to mention it has some of my favorite songs aquatic base was so chill, crisis city had a sense of urgency, kingdom valley with its vibrant music, and of course his world, especially the instrumental version. And my biggest reason was it let me play as someone other than sonic don't get me wrong I love the blue blur but I enjoyed playing as shadow and not carrying around some weird gun and silvers powers were pretty cool as long as it wasn't being used on me ITS NO USE PTSD. And hands down besides Eggman Mephiles is one of my favorite villains in sonic history especially in shadows story. Again I know full well it has major issues and I agree with peoples problems with the game but I still enjoy it no none the less.
And in all honesty I miss she sonic games had serious stories plus I’d rather play sonic 06 than play sonic forces.

I enjoyed Mephiles the Dark since his theme was always a banger, he made an impact and he's still one of my favorite sonic villain. The game managed to do shadow right which is a bonus I appreciate.
@@clovergambit3051 for real shadow I feel was at his peek in that game he cared and was very loyal to his friends and ally’s especially rouge and omega he was compassionate towards his ally’s and enemy’s he even worked for g.u.n as a agent. Not to mention he was never too full of himself. Basically he became the thing Maria wanted him to be. Now he’s just a edge lord that takes food from baby chao. And I agree Mephiles was straight up unsettling from the way he moves to the way he talks not to mention he’s one of the very characters that actually kills sonic.
@@senatorarmstrong4662 I appreciate how shadow interacted with Mephiles, Shadow was clearly heartbroken when finding out Omega is the one to betray him and capture him. He valued team dark as friends, so hearing that news shattered him. But he kept going on strong and even gave one of his best quotes to date.

I would say my favorite sonic game is between Unleashed or Sonic Mania, but I think I like Sonic Mania a bit more because I love the old style of sonic but remastered and it has diversity with the levels and the music, AND DON'T GET ME STARTED WITH THE MUUUUUUSIICCCCCC!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
fav sonic game is sonic and the secret rings the sound track was fire and the gameplay felt so new to me that I couldn't imagine we'd ever get to that level of sonic gameplay again until the black knights game out which was also great just as good
