Another fantastic looking bike.
im a big bobber style fan but if there was a close tie for first would be the scrambler style.... aggresive tires boosted suspension and a comfortable riding position cant go wrong very nice build
Oh my, SR's are my favorite and I own an SR400 myself. I'm surprised that you kept the decompression lever for how much you have simplified the bike lol. Either way, beautiful bike with awesome home garage customization. Keep it coming! Cheers from Korea.
Really like this build! I have a 76 XT500 I currently trash in the woods but its a really fun back roads blaster and I can see my self reworking it something like this when she get to well deserved trail duty retirement. Love these engines.

Just noticed the velocity stack on the carburetor (came from previous owner). I strongly recommend getting a decent air filter before you take the bike off-road. Dust and sand are the last things you want in that engine.

That would've been a great café racer, and then use an xr500 to build a scrambler. Same engine in a off road frame.
Did you do something to prevent the rear tire from hitting the hoop? Running into the same problem on my xs650 build.
Looks real nice, but wouldn't a scrambler need some rear suspension travel and a realistic rear mudguard ? ?

Love the Project ! I am Working on a custom sr500 bobber and i dont know how to wire the bike efficiently yet. As i saw, you also have a rather small headlight which im guessing doesnt have enough space for all the former connectors. How did you solve this problem? I would really appreciate help

it's a 500, way more rare than them 400s. I sold my cafe racer long time ago
