  • The Ifootage Cobra 3 Pedal base is a lightweight monopod thats incredibly easy to use. My favorite features are going from shooting on the monopod to getting low angle shots with the base, as well as the ease of adjustment of the base with the lever.
    I havethe CB3 C180F-P version but the others are great as well if you want twist locks or the standard ball knob base.

    Does just the carbon pedal monopod version comes with a carrying bag?

    Looks like a nice bit of kit. Just on the fence over this and a Sirui 325 FS or FL (some say the latter can fall apart). I used to bling out my mountain bike with Red Anodised parts to good effect. Just wandering if using this monopod for wildlife duties - would the red accents scare off the birds our just attract the magpies ?

      Great questions that I don’t have the answers for. Wish I knew more about birding

      Sirui also makes a SVM model line for monopods. One twist with the top collar and the whole thing opens up. So very quick deployment I guess. I have some Sirui stuff and for an overseas brand, they actually seem to make good stuff. Never had iFootage gear, so don’t know where they sit in the pecking order of quality. I’d imagine IFootage and Sirui are likely on par in that regard. The Cobra 3 foot pedal is a unique feature and is less dough than the Sirui SVM models, so there’s that. Hard decision, having the benefit of not needing to bend down to unlock the tilt feature, or having a quick wrist twist for fast deployment. First world problems obviously.

      @@andyp7787 Hi thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I ended up going for a Benro Supadupa pro (at a great price) in the end. So lightweight, well made & not to blingy. (The difference over handheld is night and day). It has as a swivel foot & adjustable head built in. Not quite a fluid head but not far off. Just had to forgo the tripod base. I mite get the Cobra 3 pedal base and a small gimble head in the near future. I think that combo would be ideal in a hive with a shelf or very low down situations. Best of both worlds. ✊

    If one doesn't own one today would you wanna buy the Cobra 2 or Cobra 3? With a head like mvh502ah, do you think manfrotto carbon-version mpmx4 with the fluidtech base is better?

    Is your lg ultrafine monitor still working? Did you encounter any issues?

      Yup been using the 22, 24, and 27” ones for years. I got the 27” one back in 2018 but it does have some minor burn in issues now.

      Yes! you may need to pull the feet off but would work great that way.

    Nice rig. But appears a bit cumbersome for travel. It seems to be more at home or studio use as a strength rather than going mobile on a backpack. But I guess if there’s a will, there’s a way for sure.

    Is the base compatible with other monopods?

    • @adamtalkstech
      @adamtalkstech  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on how the bottom of the monopod is threaded. Some are recessed but it it’s a flush thread it’ll work

    Garbage . Mine came apart after 1 use . A lot more out there and it’s a matter of time you will lose your gear on floor .
