Dr. J once said you should have played minimum 10 seasons before even entering the GOAT discussion. And he said that Kareem, MJ, LeBron had the best 10 year runs ever. Good to keep in mind in this era of media sensationalism where people will bash legacies for guys in their early 20s..
No one before or since played like Dr. J. He appear to soar with a kind of effortlessness that at times seemed to be magical. And although there were larger players, he almost always appear to be the a big as any other player on the court.
Dr J was before my time. I learned about him from him being on the NBA on NBC in the 90s. That dunk he had was one of the most sensational plays ever. That Sixers title team was amazing.

Exactly and I think that's why ESPN doesn't have him on the show a lot because like he said his top 5 will always be the same and I'm pretty sure he wants to say how come you won't get Bill Russell to credit for 11 rings but you start calling players to Goat after 4 rings
He's full of s*** he says one thing when he has old school players then he says another thing when he talked about today's player they will never give Bill Russell the credit for those 11 rings. They will disrespect him so bad when he passed away I'm talking about ESPN they will say well how many teams were in the league or he didn't play against anybody
True but he's full of s*** he's saying should players be judge by the amount of championship rings but they never ever and they never will put Bill Russell at the top and he has 11 rings
It would be really interesting if some journalist (if any of you are still out there) did a deep dive into LeBron's (and Carmelos) huge weight cut a few years back. And then that one year he went down to Miami for a couple of weeks during his second cleveland stint.

You're correct! All three are among the greatest teams though. That Sixers team wad truly dominant but for them to act like they're the only dominant team in the postseason is disrespectful.

That 1983 Sixers Champion was as great as any team I ever saw. And I was a Chicagoan throughout Michael Jordan's entire career.
Also the '67 Sixers that team was stacked! Wilt, Jackson, Chet, Hal, Wali, Cunningham.. that's as good of 6 man team as there ever was
@@HiNRGboy - I was alive but too young to have seen and known how great that '67 Sixers team was. But I have heard its one of the alltime great teams.

The greatest NBA player of all time in any generation on any Planet as far as Rings is Bill Russell
Lets get Dr J on the show so we can ask him about lebron. Ok smh
2000 Lakers: 16-1
2017 Warriors: 16-1
It's been beaten twice Dr
Well he is 70 something yrs old😂...it had to slip his mind😂😂
People forget about the 1983 Sixers when talking about superteams
No no no we didn't have no super team back then
Bill Russell celtics had 8 or 9 Hall of famers...that was ridiculous before free agency
Lakers Went 16-1 sorry Doc
I guess he's talking about the best out of 13
Didnt the warriors go 16-1 in 2017? Id say that beats 12-1
He's probably talking about the best out of 13 games

it's ridiculous how overpaid current players are compared to the past legends.
Young ABA Doctor J was the second best player I have ever seen. Only Miami Heat Lebron James was better.
LeBron James is not better than Elgin Baylor
