[Source of Inspiration] We drew inspiration from the classic Gothic animated film "Corpse Bride". This whimsical fantasy turns a seemingly eerie theme into a beautifully romantic story, which sparked our creativity for this design.
[Design Concept] The bodice of the dress showcases an intricate skeletal design filled with sparkling diamonds. These skeletal elements are both sturdy and well-structured. To ensure they move naturally, we've carefully adjusted the base model so the skeletal parts deform realistically during different poses. Additionally, we added a ghostly flame effect along the hem of the long skirt to perfectly capture the essence of the theme.
[Detail Presentation] To highlight the diamond texture on the dress, we've broken the dress into multiple elongated strips that flow together in a harmonious rhythm. The size contrast between these strips is carefully designed to add depth and visual impact. With the light reflecting off these surfaces, the overall effect is even more dazzling and captivating.
[Technical Innovation] The dress features both long and short styles. We are proud to announce that we have achieved a [Two-way Growth Effect], a pioneering attempt in the industry. With the "growth" effect, the dress can transform from a light short skirt to an elegant long gown (and vice versa). This intricate, multi-layered skirt design presented a challenge: a uniform growth effect would look dull, while varying growth rates too much would make the eyes too busy. To solve this issue, we used multi-layer masking to precisely control the rhythm and effect of the growth animation. Additionally, the flames that appear during the transformation seamlessly blend with the skirt's flame effects, creating a vivid and enchanting feast to the eyes. To faithfully recreate the gradient dye effect from the original artwork, we innovated the growth and flame effects of the skirt with great effort, implementing dozens of materials to ensure even the tiniest detail is perfectly rendered.
[Accessory Highlights] The long trailing veil instantly immerses you in the Gothic bride theme, but the real standout is the half-human doll that perfectly complements the outfit. The doll combines mummy elements with a Gothic bridal look. We added joint structures inspired by real dolls to make it more appealing. The face, designed to showcase the doll's broken beauty, features delicate details with BJD-style smoky makeup and partially covered eyes to add a touch of mystery. The skeletal hand on the bouquet is adorned with rhinestones and metal, further complementing and manifesting the idea of "formless confinement in the attic." We've meticulously sculpted the bandages with realistic fabric folds, preserving the mummy's unique textures and frayed edges, along with body cracks, to create a distinct aesthetic. Additionally, the cracks and stains can be custom-colored.
