Could be the foam under the throttle shaft is gone causing the throttle shaft to sit lower and hit the carb body.

I'd give all the movables at the carb a hit of lube. It's too dry.

Honda engines are great quality but a bit over engineered and sometimes a pain in the butt to work on.
