Rogue is the only class that I'm scared of both in (old) WoW and in HS, for some reason I can never fukin predict em and the technicality and calculation rogue decks require is too much for me like fuck it i'm a mech or freeze mage all the way.
+tygonmaster why is at least one shadow step not used? Leroy, hit, shadow step, Leroy, double cold blood is 10 mana deal 18 damage. It is basically 3 mana to deal 5 damage to the face.
+tygonmaster I think it's because once you add in stuff like gormok and 1 drops from dark peddler, you can easily have 14+ damage burst from hand. darkshire councilman also synergies well with a burst strat
i think it's a great thing to have someone like you providing great content to new/average players. it's so helpful for people trying to get into hearthstone. good job trump! (and also jens, the editing is always great)
something to consider for players new to this deck, it is important to keep up more tempo than trump did in these games. In the second game, he loses to malygos rougue, which is a really good matchup, by not putting on pressure early enough. In the third game, he has auctioneer and it still takes him about 6 turns to kill the shaman. That's an easy way to lose to a thunder bluff valiant or other threats (the shaman passed turn 9). My favorite way to play the deck is aggressively (often eviscerating 1-3s against zoo to create a big turn 3 Van-Cleef) and I was able to beat over half the shamans I faced on the way to top 10 legend for a time last season by making the highest tempo plays possible. Remember that auctioneer is not your win condition as you will die before turn 6-7 against aggro or even good midrange hands.
There are 4 hands, the minion hand (plays like arena), the auctioneer hand (shown in video), the spell hand with no auctioneer or van-cleef(you lose), and the van-cleef spell hand (should go all in ASAP).
+Jackson Cheleden Sap can't really be compared to Entomb dude, half the time they can just immediately play the card again after Sap which is the big advantage of Entomb and why they have such different mana costs. Prep Sap is good when you need the 2 extra mana but by no means some mindblowing combo
I feel like he should have just gone for a Concealed 6/6 Van Cleef in those mid-turns. He was basically holding everything for an Auctioneer that he didn't even see, which is a surefire way to lose games that can be very winnable. It was his only threat, but considering his hand I feel like he has to at least try to start pressuring by setting up for a potential 6-10 damage on the following turn.
Edwin rarely the key to winning, in fact it could be removed from the deck and the deck would not lose too much power. The key is that you draw playable minions turn 1-6, and then having auctioneer+ conceal for turn 7 and it survives. Then the game is pretty much over.

Really nice deck to surprise your opponents with coldblood. I just don't have Leeroy (reckless rocketeer instead in my deck), tomb pillager and Edwin... I replaced it so far with Djinni of Zephyrs which can get coldblooded too + the southsea deckhand and faceless manipulator. Just hard to pull off sometimes i really need tomb pillagers, they are more important than the legendaries i feel.
I think thats an opinion. I agreee though, I dont see much use in the shiv outside of drawing more cards, but drawing it later or like last card its so much worse than shadowstep. and you can't save your Gadgetzen if you want
asteorom whats not real about a 20 damage combo ahah? shadow step is also a spell and can allow u to get some final extra value off gadgetzan and put it back in ur hand to go again... or u can gadgetzan something like si7 agent to get some final damage off- puting something like xaril or farseer would really hurt ur curve
asteorom good players are always at high ranks and they normally play in tourneys so those decks are meant for going agaisnt control match ups, and pal if ur getting less than 4 cards from gadgetsan then ur doing something wrong... the whole point in of combo is its more than one card. and conceal doesnt let u double up on combo effects (battle crys). And would u not play a card like leeroy because u dont play it unless u have lethal. Think u need to understand the concept of miracle

I'm having the exact same problem as you! Right now, I'm using 1 Questing Adventurer instead of Edwin, 1 Master of Disguise, 1 Shadowstep and 1 extra Deadly Poison. Has been working well so far.

Well, against aggressive decks such as shaman and zoolock, you should probably be using removals such as eviscerate and shadowstrike early, since they might remove their biggest minions. An eviscerate on a Totem Golem, a sap on a Flamewreated Faceless and a Shadow Strike on a Thing From Below will destroy any shamans. Good luck!

You can replace leeroy with malygos or south sea deckhand and faceless (south sea, cold blood, cold blood and faceless = 8 mana 20 damage) for edween there is no replacement, PREPS ARE MUST HAVE and there is no reason to play rogue without them
tbh i did this no joke (except for my control warrior, costed too much to de this shit), and it was worth a shitload just the feel of cycling 10-15 cards with gadgetzan and then concealing a 14/2 leeroy to kill them next turn, juicy (only problem, aggro decks are your nightmare if you don't draw the right cards)

Fun deck, but be prepared for a high learning curve. I would recommend checking out Ryzen's stream - he plays Rogue decks almost exclusively. If you do get Van Cleef and Thalnos for sure. I've played really good rogues without Malygos or Leeroy. The combos with cold blood and eviscerate alone gives you enough lethal damage. Although Malygos and Leeroy can obviously come in handy.
Still a superobvious edwin turn. You can invest a prep to get an 8/8. Thats value. If edwin doesnt get sapped, you win. If edwin does get sapped, you most likely also win. Just replay it. You still have cheap cards in hand.
Edwin is really good as it's a second win-condition, and it can be really strong played against deck's like zoo early on along with a prep or some other spell's.
Edwin is almost a must, istead of Leeroy you could use Southsea Deckhand, Coldblood 2x and Faceless Manipulator for a 20 damage OTK. I'm pretty sure there are decks online that you can take inspiration from!
+tygonmaster I absolutely agree with you. Even thou the Southsea version is a bit less consistent than the Leeroy one I'm still having a lot of fun playing the Southsea combo because I usually don't grind ranked that hard.
Van Cleef is one of the harder to replace cards in this deck since he is quite important, you could try Questing Adventurer, but he is slower and easier to remove than Van Cleef...
There is a variation of miracle which uses faceless + southsea deckhand as finisher. Thalnos can be replaced with kobold or loot hoarder. I think that the extra cycle would be better. But don't expect too much from a budget deck, every legendary has so big impact on the overall consistency of this deck, especially VanCleef, which I find usually the card that wins the game for me against control warriors / priests.
Boveq if you have ever other card then Drake is irrelivent for the win condition. If you don't have every other card Drake won't supplement their position, making it low priority to substitute at this time.
I think the real miracle here is that this deck has managed to survive so many years of nerfs.

I know one of the reasons is because peddler can get extra power overwhelmings allowing for a triple or even quad PO'd leroy or soulfires.

Basically, Conceal your Gadgetzan Auctioneer and buffed up Edwin Vancleef, us Cold Bloods on them and Sap Taunt-minions away.

Face deck = unfun. Easy or not, Control decks are always more fun to play and vs in game.

Think you could do a teachings episode on a Priest deck? Preferably dragon/control, since those are the only two actually semi-viable ones.

You're out of luck then 'cause that's the 2 ways to do it. Try some other 4 mana 5/4 or a Yeti, but they won't be nearly as good.
It's still possible to play w/o tomb but the deck will be a lot weaker cos no coins which means card draws which means answers

southsea relies on combo. leeroy list lets you use your cold bloods on other minions. so not a combo

I have some dust tucked away should I craft this considering I've never played any type of rogue in the past?
I would practice with some easier rogue decks first considering this deck requires a ton of forward thinking, planning and skill to get right.

Edwin is almost a must, istead of Leeroy you could use Southsea Deckhand, Coldblood 2x and Faceless Manipulator for a 20 damage OTK. I'm pretty sure there are decks online that you can take inspiration from!
+tygonmaster I absolutely agree with you. Even thou the Southsea version is a bit less consistent than the Leeroy one I'm still having a lot of fun playing the Southsea combo because I usually don't grind ranked that hard.
There is that basic 5 cost charge card. Its Leeroy minus 1 damage, but hey, its a replacement.

Why not +Xaril -Violet?
I think xaril toxins are great
It's meta-dependent. Violet Teacher is better if you're seeing lots of Zoo and Aggro Shaman, while Xaril is more suited to control matchups.

Van Cleef is one of the harder to replace cards in this deck since he is quite important, you could try Questing Adventurer, but he is slower and easier to remove than Van Cleef...

There is a variation of miracle which uses faceless + southsea deckhand as finisher. Thalnos can be replaced with kobold or loot hoarder. I think that the extra cycle would be better.
But don't expect too much from a budget deck, every legendary has so big impact on the overall consistency of this deck, especially VanCleef, which I find usually the card that wins the game for me against control warriors / priests.

Acually, I've been playing standard during the whole of May. But maybe miracle rogues often lurk more in rank 5 and downwards.

Boveq if you have ever other card then Drake is irrelivent for the win condition.
If you don't have every other card Drake won't supplement their position, making it low priority to substitute at this time.
