The Ather Rizta is a commuter-oriented electric scooter from Ather Energy. It is also the EV maker’s first family-focused scooter. It features a boxy design that’s similar to the TVS iQube. The design elements including a foldable pillion footrest, spacious floorboard, and larger pillion grab rails add to its practicality. Ather Rizta Price
The Ather Rizta comes in three variants: Rizta S with a 2.9kWh battery pack with a 123km range, Rizta Z with a 2.9kWh battery pack and the same 123km range, and the top-of-the-line model with a 3.7kWh battery pack offering a higher 160km range. The Rizta S is priced at Rs 1,09,999, the Rizta Z 2.9kWh variant costs Rs 1,24,999, and the Rizta Z 3.7kWh variant is available at Rs 1,44,999 (all prices ex-showroom Bengaluru, including EMPS).
The Rizta electric scooter comes in five colours, with single-tone options including White and Grey, whereas Blue, Green, and Grey are available as dual-tone options.
Ather Rizta Motor, Battery & Range
The Ather Rizta is equipped with the same 4.3kW motor as the Ather 450X and has a claimed top speed of 80kmph. It comes in two battery options: a 2.9kWh pack with a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) range of 123km, and a larger 3.7kWh pack with a range of 160km. The Rizta gets two riding modes: Smart Eco and Zip.
    Ather Rizta Features
The Ather Rizta is equipped with all LED lights. The Rizta S variant gets the same 7-inch LCD screen as the Ather 450S. The Rizta Z however gets the full-colour TFT console from the 450X. It offers full Google Maps navigation, but the layout of the screen has been completely revised for the Rizta. The Rizta gets the same features as the 450X like hill-hold assist, reverse mode, smart eco mode, fall safe (which turns off the motor when the scooter falls on its side) etc. Additionally, the Z variants comes with 'Magic twist' and regen braking.
Additional features include an integrated WhatsApp and Alexa, a multi-purpose charging port under the boot which is compatible with different devices like smartphones, laptops etc. The ‘AtherSkidControl’ feature is another highlight of the Rizta. It functions similarly to a traction control system and uses a sensor to control the rear wheel's rotation speed and syncs it with the front wheel, thereby avoiding wheelspin on gravel and slippery surfaces.
Moreover, the Ather Rizta comes with a 34-litre boot space (same as Ola S1 Pro). You can also get an optional organiser for the boot that transforms into a carry bag, a 22-litre ‘frunk’ is also available as an accessory that increases the total storage capacity to 56 litres.
Ather Rizta Suspension, Brakes & Other Details
The Ather Rizta now features a broader, longer and lowered frame than the 450X. It comes equipped with a telescopic fork and a rear monoshock. Braking is handled by a 200mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear. The scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels on both ends and is fitted with 90-section front and 100-section rear MRF Zapper-N tyres. The scooter has a kerb weight of 119kg, a seat height of 780mm and a ground clearance of 165mm.
    Ather Rizta Rivals
The Ather Rizta is a family scooter and rivals the Ampere Nexus, TVS iQube, Ola S1 Air, Hero Vida V1 Pro and Bajaj Chetak. It also poses as an electric alternative to petrol scooters like the Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125 and TVS Jupiter 125.
