I can really identify with what you say about having a hobby just for the sake of doing the hobby and enjoying the wellbeing benefits of the hobby, without worrying about what to do with the finished product. I wouldn't hang a finished piece in my home, or gift a finished piece, so it's likely I'll just enjoy the process and then put them away in a portfolio or something.
I had so much guilt about DP. You made me feel better about that 😊!

Thank you so much for sharing your storage of finished paintings. When I first started diamond painting I felt pressure to hang them all up but now I just hang them in my office closet. I revisit them often and admire the art. It’s nice to be free of the pressure of displaying them.

Omg I love your videos, your personality completely makes me more excited about the hobby, im alot like you and have no one to talk to about this hobby, my partner is fed up of hearing about it now haha, would love to talk more to someone who is just as exited as me about this. And your wip and chat I enjoyed, I normally get pretty board by the end of most others but you definitely kept me engaged. ❤

Hi Zoe, really liked your wip and chat. Your voice level was great. I have finally found product for my placers. I use putty from Merrymud, and I like to use oh snap dotz from OH Snap crafter Cafe. Both are on etsy. Merry just had a baby so her shop is closed until spring. Thank you ❤

So excited to see you do a WIP & Chat! I always struggle to find enough to say on mine too (on my diamond painting channel), so I did a winter tag in my most recent one. XD I think tags are so fun and such a great way to have enough to say. Really enjoyed your answers and learning more about you. Love this kit you're working on - I hope the recipient loves it too! It's such a cozy image. I have also recently had to admit that I'm a square girlie, hehe. I'll do rounds but when I do, I miss squares. I won't let it stop me from getting art I really love but I definitely have to be in the right mood to do a round. I also listen to audiobooks almost exclusively - such a great companion to diamond painting for sure!

New subscriber here! Glad you found this craft; like you, I found dp during a hard time and it’s been life changing. We have such a similar taste in diamond paintings! DAC is top tier, but I’d recommend The One with the Diamond Art if you’re loving the colorful and cutesy pieces. I totally feel you about not being a big show/movie person. DP has helped me fall in love with audiobooks. Who wouldn’t love multitasking their hobbies?

I can identify this. I just got into diamond painting and I am realizing that I don’t have to hang my paintings because the paintings I am drawn to aren’t what I like as home decor
I have the same pen blank in a different turning. I like yours much better. Where did you get it? Never tried a pretty placer or glue dots. The colors of your painting are gorgeous. 😊

I am the same with when i have many kits and i pick the least to the best. I go backwards..lol Like right now i am working on a lighthouse but got it from Amazon and i like it but not really bc this is a lot darker then what i thought it would be. Plus it isnt has nice like dac or other company where you know about the artist is and it is a better quality. So i am getting this done first bc i have 2 dac and 1 diamond dot and 2 from Temu. Have a great day.

Oh haha! Same. No animal kits please. No hate on animals, but it's just not my cup of tea...esp unicorns and whales LOL.
And also, preferably no witch kits bc imo it's essentially watered-down witchcraft theme, and it's veering on the occult side of things. HOWEVER the artists DAC works with who do witchy artworks have such nice art styles, the devil's totally at work LOL 😭
Also, dorky is dorky, and it's all good 🎉 Haha I'm of the same thought, but more like, it feels like a grandma-y, SAHM-y kind of craft (which seems like a large demographic of DPs, and I am envious...I'm just a single corporate wage-slave girlie and feels like I haven't earned my badge to enjoy this hobby which I know doesn't make sense 😢!!). Still, it doesn't deter me from enjoyung this hobby; I just haven't gotten to declaring it as one of my hobbies to my small social circlr haha!
