Despite Keanu reeves performance and Winona Ryder in bram stokers Gary Oldman absolutely acted the 💩 out of that role, we are talking Jack Nicholson’s joker here, I mean he was phenomenal.
@@iam1remnant oh that's tough! Honestly, probably between the original Nosferatu and Blade (and Interview with the Vampire) ugh, and Bram Stoker's Dracula! I love so many! lol
Honestly, it’s not my favorite. I had seen a couple of scenes from that movie before and expected to absolutely love it, I’m also a huge Dracula fan. There was stuff about the movie that I really liked like the scene where he turns into the giant bat is awesome as well as the scene where Van Helsing fights the brides, I think the use of color is fantastic and the whole dreamlike quality of the film is wonderful. The performances from Oldman and Hopkins are also top tier. However I have just never been into the Dracula story having a romance aspect and I feel like this movie quadrupoles down on it. The movie tries so hard to make Dracula a sad and sympathetic character, and I kind of hate the idea of Mina being his reincarnated wife or having any prior connection before the count sees Johnathan’s locket at the castle. I’ve always felt like The Phantom of the opera is supposed to be the sympathetic and romantic character, Dracula should be the personification of darkness and evil.
Wow did not that about stroker.
Did the nosferatu doug jones version ever complete?
It looks like it's in post-production, so it's just a matter of when it'll be released!
The original salems lot vampire wrecked me as a kid.
Facts!!! Such a fantastic experience!!!
@OverlyHonestReviews the night i watched it i had to ride my bike home at night by myself.
@paulsir1500 it was probably horrifying at the time, but that memory is priceless!

Truth!!!
These are the things that keep me up at night 😂
I felt it's only right that I share! 😁
And Gary Oldman hands down favorite rendition! Plus my boy Keanu was in that version!
Oh Keanu was so bad in it, but almost like so bad he was good? Lol
@@OverlyHonestReviews he was Keanu. Plus Winona Ryder doesn't provide much bounce back
@@zachp3928 sooooo true!
Oldman is my 2nd favorite actor of all time
Claus Bang did a great job as Dracula as well. Even though that series started top notch and ended like shiznit.
Facts!!!
I thought Leslie Nielsen was awesome 😆🧛♂️
Those are just facts! :)
For vampire. George Hamilton in Love At First Bite (1979)

The best adaptation was 1992 Dracula with Gary Oldman
I can't even argue! I absolutely loved that one, too!

Lugosi set the tone for EVERY horror character!
He really did!
Well, it's all subjective. Personally I never liked Lugosi's Dracula. I find his performance mannered & stilted and absolutely NUnterrifying!
True, I mean all "art" is subjective :)
Lugosi looked creepy as Dracula. I think every Dracula after him was based or patterned after him.
