Fabian is one lucky fella. The best LR mechs in the country. You make it so easy these days. Precision engineered tools. And the manual that is Vera! A great video. Never miss my sunday must watch!
I am at a loss for words how terribly good you are with these cars. A talent away from all engineering... Great fun to see. The people must be very grateful to have a neighbor like you.☺
5min into the vid you guys already have 100+ views. Just shows your content is in demand and highly captivating. Thanks again for keeping us entertained (and informed) team LRtime 😊😊
Came for the technical content, stayed for the A+ commentary! You guys are just too wholesome. It's become ritual to watch your videos on Monday lunch at work.
Fitting the oil seal while completely drunk or on illegal drugs 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I love the cabaret act while reminding us we should have bought a Toyota. Love my Sunday mornings in bed thanks to you both.❤️
Hate to say it but Toyotas/Lexus are no more reliable look at the issues with their new 2.4 and 2.8 diesel engines or older 3.0 D4D with premature cracked pistons and main bearing failure, when comparing against a near 20 year old LR
Great video guys. Christian , you are so lucky to have Vera looking over your shoulder all the time to make sure you don’t mess up 😊 Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼
I envy Fabian. I wish I had someone like he has to help me work and learn more about maintaining my car. It’s a Subaru Crosstrek by the way, ‘21 Ltd. You guys are awesome.
Great fun and great job as usual, both of you. Did brakes, oil/filter change, wheel bearings and timing belt on a over 600.000km diesel 105 Toyota LC today, my son's. Finally!! ...I had something to do!? 😅
I DONT own a LR or ever have, But I love watching this Channel, Its funny ,educational and a must for owners.. I don't understand why your not viral...❤
I had 3 Discoveries in the 90’s. First one in 1990 and every 2 years another , all NEW!!!!. First one was fine , second one a disaster , consumed oil from day 1 . Before they installed oversized pistons they tried everything under warranty ! Then problems with drive shaft bearings . Forget to make holes in flywheel so no lubrication behind . Lots of problems and I said never again , British (and Americans) cannot build cars . You people show a lot of courage and it proves that it did not get any better . You guys are experts and are very enthusiastic but it takes a lot of time ! Good luck I love your vlogs !
Could do with you guys over in England for my P38 diesel. Since I became ill I can't do half of what I want. After watching loads of your videos I'd happily let you guys work on mine. Keep it up guys. You make my chemo days much happier - I spend most of the days watching you 2. Take care all the best. Please don't stop making these.
I think Land Rover have a part number for the oil patch on the drive, as well as one for the spider that lives in the wing mirror. See you next Sunday.
What is a Land Rover without oil leaks? A friend of mine once said that he wore a Land Rover tie to a function and when he got home he had an oil stain on his shirt.🤣
Looks like warmer weather, maybe this was filmed earlier. I am also a follower of Piston Broke Garage. Another great video many thanks. Always a delight to see a new release on our Sunday evening.
My Sunday morning fix is complete! We have done East to West (Skeleton Coast) Southern Africa in a D3 overland. I hope Fabian has a TH-cam channel to follow his adventures. We need that Africa fix on a Sunday morning alongside Christian & Vera, my Sunday would then be complete ❤
I love your weekly video on the maintenance of a Land Rover. I enjoy the German precision way of working on these very complex vehicles. Well done to you Christiaan and Vera for an enjoyable viewing every week. Greetings from a very hot South Africa.
Vera . Working on cars is great when you waych tv 😜, but as technician its always difficult to explain to customers its a big job $$ lol I would put a small bead of sealent permatex ultra grey
Nice job. Fabian is lucky to have you guys around to help. I've just had the belts and water pump replaced on my 18 year old daughter's 2008 D3 only for her to announce she wants to sell it and go travelling around NZ and Australia for a couple of years! 😩
Good morning Vera & Christian 😊 As always a fantastic video with lots of humour and very good technical information 👍🏻 How lucky 🍀 is Fabian having you guys helping out with his repairs 🤩 Looks like an awesome 👏🏻 road trip. Hope you’ve both got your travel plans ready for a fixing trip to Africa 🤣 Have a great week see ya next Sunday for another exciting episode of LR times 😊 Hugs and kisses for Vera 😍🤗 xx
Yes, very enjoyable, thanks and quite relaxing watching you fix complicated stuff. Lightyears away from the old series LRs which I'm told that local Scottish hill farmers used to keep going for decades with any old tools to hand, changing engines when the old ones were completely worn out. When the ancient LRs were sold on, often on a farmer retiring and selling up, buyers weren't interested in the mileage so much as when the engine was last changed!
ITS LR TIME😊😊😊 enjoy your trip fabian.keep christians and veras number handy, just in case! That job would have taken 2 weeks at a landrover dealership.not to mention the cost!!!! Till the next great episode-stay safe😊😊😊😊
OMG, all that water on his trip.... 😱 Poor Fabian! Well, that's part of the adventure, I guess. 😉 Nice job with the last minute repair. I hope that finally fixes his oil leak problems. 👍
That's an amazing co-incidence - My 2012 3.0L Sport has just suffered an oil leak from the same area but on mine the oil was pouring out with the engine running as if a tap had been turned on ! Its currently in the garage being fixed 👍👍👍
Super Video nach altem Stil 😊 ich finde es auch toll, das ihr das Thema wiederholt. Überhaupt nicht schlimm. So frischt man alles wieder etwas auf... ❤
👍 wow! all of that in just one (long) day. I'm guessing that you have probably saved Fabian > 1k Euros and more importantly probably did a better job than many main dealers - you are good friends to have. Very interesting re: the comparison of the two gaskets - it must be an art to know when it is worthwhile to get aftermarket vs when you really need to go OEM. Congratulations to you all, and of course, Bon Voyage to Fabian. PS good for you for the shout-out to Steve(? hope I got the name right) who showed you that trick - and a shout-out to him also for his heartfelt speech on the internet!
I have no idea why I am watching a video on repairing an 2.7 TDV6 oil pump leak. I had some spare time to drink coffee (toyota owners style), as I own the 4.4L V8 jag engine RRS. I also have no idea why I have re watched Steve from Piston Broke Garage's cameo role, so many times. I am on 5th re watch of Steve and still laughing; great editing and thanks for sharing the best put down to the keyboard mechanics.
Hi my name is Tim and I have a Landrover Discovery 4 I live in Australia it has been the best car I have ever owned in 30 years of driving I love your shows and how you hate Toyota owner's! I guess maybe my Landrover is reliable because I get it survive at my local machine but I don't use Landrover machine keep the good work up I love your shows
I dont know why but we have 2 RR sports together for 13 years.1 is gone now second still as work truck and we never had oil leak both are 2.7 V6 and i always put them above my Merc 3.0 V6 cause that one always develop leak. But engine durability is another topic :D
Take the comments on the chin, it's all part of having a popular channel! And would we miss it!! Always a good test of a great channel. This is one of my favourites and a regular Sunday past time. I've posted comments about clutch judder and thin oils on another channel and had a right telling off, why? If you don't try you don't know, but who cares, keep up the good work, I love it, OMG!
They say, The German Tiger Tank was over engineered and unreliable, I think Land Rover are in second place, but it's a pleasure seeing the pair of you, and sharing your knowlege.
I’ve fitted a few oil pumps and have had an OEM seal pop out on me after only 2 weeks. I installed the oil pump first then seal after although it would have been sitting flush with the top surface of the pump, not slightly under as stated. I fitted an aftermarket oil seal (light brown colour) exactly the same position and that was 2 years ago. I’ll never use an OEM seal again. Boy does it make a real mess when it pops out!
You are good friends to have. I think you need to make a rain canopy that attaches to the roof of the vehicles so it does not drip on you when the vehicle is on the hoist.
I'm very impressed with Christians OCD, and his pride in German precision. I am even more impressed with all the knowledge from Vera, her help and nagging help immensely and she is after all a fine German HOTTY, she threatens to work in a Bikini (not yet)
Great vid as always....sorry to see the water leak on the trip....can't even imagine taking the seats out and carpet to dry it all up, while on a trip....have had the same issue..... why oh why can't Landrover build their vehicles better?????
Fabian is one lucky fella. The best LR mechs in the country. You make it so easy these days. Precision engineered tools. And the manual that is Vera! A great video. Never miss my sunday must watch!
🤗👌🙋♀️
Best wishes to Fabian on his long trip. Let’s hope he has LR Time recovery insurance! ❤❤
😅 He has the best ADAC has to offer. I think they have to even recover his car out of the jungle if he breaks down. 🙋♀️
I am at a loss for words how terribly good you are with these cars. A talent away from all engineering... Great fun to see. The people must be very grateful to have a neighbor like you.☺
Nice to see Landrovers 'self rust proofing' feature is still working ... Have a great day guys and good luck to Fabian.
Stopping the leak voids the warranty.
5min into the vid you guys already have 100+ views. Just shows your content is in demand and highly captivating. Thanks again for keeping us entertained (and informed) team LRtime 😊😊
It’s not Sunday evening until an LR Time video lands.
Another lesson in doing it right Christian. Great filming Vera.
I love Vera's comment " the search and rescue mission for the alternator cable" lol
I do look forward to my favourite Sunday morning viewing, thanks again to you both for providing our entertainment.
Steve's rant was hilarious, he's a top bloke and knows hsi stuff
do you have steves utube info ? he looks like he would be worth subbing to .
tks in advance
So comforting to see you working on a Discovery again. Loved the Piston Broke clip, too.
Another extraordinary repair from the Discovery master technician and his trusty side kick. Good Job!
I think Christian deserves a better title than side kick😂

It was a nice touch to see some photos and videos from fabian down there. 😍
Sunday only starts when LR Time arrives ❤️, Fabulous Everytime C & V 👍
I just love that German dry sense of humour, love to you both…
😅🤗🙋♀️
The Dutch fanclub is more and more convinced LR stands for 'leaky ride'.....
Well... I've worked on many British makes, motor bikes or cars and have yet to find one that doesn't leak somewhere. They always leave their mark!
@@paulboon1100 Built in rust prevention system 👍
@@nickb5391 yeah, had one like that, works better than any rust prevention stuff you buy!?
You are the best couple mechanics!

Never get bored of watching you work on the Discos. Hope that Fabian has a great trip in the Disco 3..
That’s not an oil leak, it’s anti-rust preservation spay 🤣
Another hectic repair job, wonderfully executed 👍

Great video guys. Christian , you are so lucky to have Vera looking over your shoulder all the time to make sure you don’t mess up 😊 Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼

It is always a pleasure to follow your repair struggles. Also solving oil leakage this time. Wish them a nice journey. Best regards Cees Smit
I'm jealous of Fabian because he had Vera & Christian work on his vehicle. 😔
