Well actually, this is an alternate universe where Mario never met Cappy, so that means Mario’s journey was tougher than before, but Mario eventually DESTROYED bowser and rescued peach from forcefully getting married to bowser.
fun fact: using glitches, there are a total of 3 required captures to beat Mario Odyssey!
1. The wire at the end of cap kingdom
2. The wire to the dragon boss in ruined kingdom
3. Bowser at the end of moon kingdom

You can get captain toad in the seaside kingdom without cappy before defeating the boss. It's a little difficult to pull of, but if you destroy a crate that's cracked in the corner, spin jump of it, scale the wall, and triple jump to the ledge you can talk to him. Amazing video by the way!

There are lots of moons you can get in cascade kingdom after first moon clip. Behind the waterfall (2d) using a clip, 2 just lying in the open and one behind a rock wall using a spin pound clip. There may be other I’m not thinking about

How do I try this for myself this looks so much fun.
connect a second controller and press Y (or left button for single joycon) on it whenever Cappy's on Mario's head to separate them
falc, if you go into first person and face away from the butterfly in lost kingdom, it will reappear after one or two seconds, and if you do this right behind it you can exit third person and easily grab the butterfly moon.

2P mode doesn't let you go into 1st person mode, and the rules of the run need you to be in 2P mode

U can use a Corner clip to get one of the side moons in the snow kindom Story Sub area

You could also get the butterfly in lost by going into first person where the butterfly spawns. For some reason it doesn’t notice that you’re there and just goes back to its little area.
