    How would you recommend installing the 5040, if the center-point (where it needs to be mounted) has a joist several inches away, on either side? Is it easier to just move your screen so that the center of it, lines up with the available joist? What would you recommend?

    • @AdamMarr
      @AdamMarr 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 5040 has horizontal screen shift, you should be able to mount it off center on the joist, and shift the image over without having to worry about any keystone issues. If your joist is in the attic and you really want to be on center, you can just add some bracing between the joists to mount on.

    If I only use two screws and each one is screwed into different joists, how much weight can this mount support?

    The Eason 5050ub has lens shift. It does not need to be dead center to work.

    • @DivineAV
      @DivineAV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is always better to put a projector lens dead center if possible. Lens shift introduces minor variances in the image. Further, there's absolutely no reason to avoid a dead center lens unless there are extenuating circumstances causing the projector to be mounted off center. For professionals, there's usually no excuse. We've installed thousands of projectors the right way. Thank you for watching

      If you want a smooth lens change when changing screens center if possible but mine is not 100% center and it works fine. The only thing the 5050/6050 will not correct is leveling. You can go vertical and horizontal a great amount but it will not rotate the image so just make sure the mount is level. I have an issue with my ceiling and have to add a bit of weight to one side of the mount to get level but that should not be issue for most.

    Question: what are the specs on the mount that comes with this? How far down from the ceiling does the top (bottom) of the projector end up? How fra from the center of the mount is the back end? I have a soffit in the back of the tester room I’m building and I need to make sure the projector can clear the soffit or I’m going to need to move it forward. I can’t find any info/measurements anywhere on this mount.

    Note: when taking the projector back down: if the projector was installed with the keyhole facing the opposite side to what's shown in the video, you'll need to push the projector forward to release it, not backwards. Not that I would've made that silly mistake. ;-)

      We actually like to store it with the extra lamp that comes with those projectors. That why there's a bit of theft protection for the unit just in case.

    Is there a flush mount I can use for the 6050ub? I need it as close as possible to the ceiling

    • @DivineAV
      @DivineAV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The mount thats supplied with the 6050 comes with a 6 inch pole that you could swap out for a 2 inch getting it about 10 inches from the ceiling to the bottom of the projector.

      @@solkimarcade2315 if you haven't already ordered your projector we can get you one at a great price. Call 214 600 4144 for more information. If you already have it just take the mount out of the box and take the pole to home depot. There you can find all types of pipes in the plumbing section that will match up with that pipe. They're called nipple connectors. Happy movie watching my friend!

      Two well secured into a stud would hold at least 500 pounds. We personally do a hang test on every mount to ensure that.

    Do not try this at home! Using a large drill is a great way to strip out the mounting holes.

    • @DivineAV
      @DivineAV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Variable speed drills, and powered screwdrivers are perfectly safe when using proper trigger control. We have installed more than 2500 projectors in DFW and not a single stripped screw in 16 years. Thanks for watching.
