great build guys I did want to point the mid-plate between the trany and engine needs to be mounted to the chassis as well. top and bottom. this will help the motor not twist as the motor is supplying torque. the supports also will allow you to unbolt the trany and swap out clutch or trany repair.
Use the Frankenstein intake for the build instead of that one because it has a water to air intercooler built into it and its billet so it looks sick. Cleetus McFarland uses it in Leroy
Did you see that engine shake at only 3500RPM? PLEASE reinforce those engine mounts, or add more of them. At 6500 the engine will want to jump out of the car otherwise.
the mid plate need to be mounted. or this motor will twist itself out. there is zero support in the middle of this motor. thats why the midplate has mounting points
If you go for quad turbo setup (instead of 2 big turbos you can use 4 smaller ones) that would reduce turbo lag plus it gives options for cool quad exausts (i know i should have said that at the begining of the build)
Very cool! It's really getting exciting now. Your over-speed issue might be that the throttle body is not closing enough. I once put the throttle plate in backward when I rebuilt a carburetor -- I was amazed at how the tiniest gap made my engine idle in the 3500 - 4000 rpm range.
You cant take away from him because Oscar has done the Fab and fueling mods. The guy is doing something just as important while Oscar is doing what he is paid to do! People also don't realize the amount of time an effort it takes to edit a 30MIN good quality video after spending all damn day on something. Everyone has there place for this crazy build, have some respect.
Hey there - you probably know this but if you don't, in the Haltec software I believe you can disable the injectors if you want to just crank for test or to build oil pressure.
Love this series, you should have “firing order” in Italian laser etched into the intake manifold and then the LS firing order below it as tribute to the crossover!

For future reference, the Haltech software has a really handy "disable injectors" tickbox for testing and to let you crank it to build oil-pressure. No need to undo 8 injectors.
I have a question why don't yall run a dry oil sump kit then you wont have to worry about the oil pan and how close it is to the ground. Just a suggestion.
Port mismatch @ 10:35 : Interestingly (and counter-intuitively) flowing fluids from a large pipe into a small pipe with a step change is more 'efficient' than the other way. As I understand it - when a fluid encounters a blunt step, it slows and provides a smooth 'ramp' for the bulk flow. When fluid passes over an edge into a void, much swirling turbulence occurs behind the ledge which causes losses. This is like the classic teardrop - blunt to the front works (for sub-sonic flow - Concorde and SR71 is all pointy at the front for supersonic flow).

I strongly recommend that you leave those "boat" headers on there and mount the turbos back over the tranny, the packaging will distribute heat throughout the engine compartment, instead of putting it all behind the window. It also has the benefit of giving you more room for the turbos.
This build is great. I'm just about to start doing some video of my turbo LS build in my Murcielago. Haven't been doing much filming since I sold my replica Murci roadster on a Boxster S but this build is motivating me to dedicate more time to it. We did a Zr1 LS9 in a Gallardo a few years back with a custom dual 4" Borla exhaust which was absolutely ridiculous
my guess. he would need ~1200rwhp to compete. leroy probably puts down ~1500rwhp on full boost. the dual clutch and aero is big. assuming both on drag tires on a prepped track.

Question for the car guys: wasn't there like a v10 or v12 in this before? If so, will that create a problem with the ECU having a different number of cylinders? I know older cars had a distributer but if the ECU was for a v12 and downsized to 8 wouldn't there be timing issues?
Depending on how new of electronics you are using, and what body modules and electronic components for the body you have and are powering, you may have to use a AGM or Gel battery compared to a typical flooded battery.

Couple months ago I was recommended the in home paint booth vid, cause being an auto body tech with those search tendencies, and a subscriber all be it passively, it made sense. At that time, I realized you were now working on a huracan. "Okay" I thought. This dudes been makin moves. Good for him just doing what he loves and being able to support his habit doing so. TH-cam is pretty cool for that opportunity nowadays eh. Now I find this vid. A second huracan? Okay. I'm clearly doing something wrong with my time. In short, this channels progression, is a testament to doing what you love, and loving what you do. Money will come later. Success (happiness) seems to be exponential when that rule is applied. Yes, the mic gets distorted. The ecu calculates injector pulse and trigger event based on the trigger signal. So if it's 2000rpm off, the engine would not run 😊

He has to put the plug in there for them to pay him, kind of like how you watch commercials on TV. I don't buy or use 90% of the shit on TV commercials either. It's how they get paid. Without making money, this project would never be able to happen. A lot of time goes into the type of work he does, and he should be able to make money off of his labor and time, which we use for entertainment.

Those engine mount bushes are getting crushed, even with a stock LS.
HMan yes that's right. Heavier and well placed urethane with steel limiters. Solid mounts alone quickly mean money wasted.

I'm pretty sure that the ECU has a test mode where you can do a firing test without starting the engine.
It has, you can disable the injectors in the Haltech, Scotty from Haltech does this all the time when checking the engines from MCM builds.
I’m sure there are lots of features in the Elite that he won’t use. It’s kind of overkill for Chris in my opinion...

Yeah, a few episodes back when it could be seen more clearly, I thought that the starter wire seemed way undersized.
Definitely. Battery has the amps but they aren't reaching the starter - or the starter doesn't like the LS motor resistance and needs an upgrade.

Mount the coils on the fire wall to much heat with the turbos a maifolds.
Or wrap them in gold heat shielding!
when mountin the coil pack to the engine mount, add some rubber under the plate to isolate it from vibration, as that could lead to misfires or sth.

I got a cathedral port head on my carb setup will a Holley square port intake and I don’t have that issue at all.

The engine is idling at about nine hundred RPM. The tachometer is off. Use your ears
The rpm reading is from the ecu, reading from the trigger wheel, and i do trust the ecu more than your ears...

Yes, the mic gets distorted. The ecu calculates injector pulse and trigger event based on the trigger signal. So if it's 2000rpm off, the engine would not run 😊

He has to put the plug in there for them to pay him, kind of like how you watch commercials on TV. I don't buy or use 90% of the shit on TV commercials either. It's how they get paid. Without making money, this project would never be able to happen. A lot of time goes into the type of work he does, and he should be able to make money off of his labor and time, which we use for entertainment.
