- India that is Bharat is the first book of Bharat trilogy authored by Advocate J Sai Deepak. The book explains the concept of coloniality and distinguishes coloniality from the other concepts such as colonialism.
In the video, I have tried to make a case that how the scholars and elites in India’s freedom struggle were also prone to coloniality and had their minds fully entrenched in it.
Sources that I’ve used in this video-
India that is Bharat- By J sai Deepak (Pg-42)
Poverty and Un-British Rule in India- By Dadabhai Naoroji (Introduction- pg xii & xiii)

I am also reading this book, and every single paragraph is making me think to the core and re emphasize on what we have leart and what we aspire to be. It's opening every layers of coloniality from our thought to what we perceive and what notions we have set in our heads and actually where the definitions have come from, where does the context lie, all these and how everything is imported and imposed on us.. This reading has clearly opened our eyes and I am able to see what's happening around in our daily lives, at offices, at public places, at academics where we are heading to without realizing we are just fulfilling the end goals of the colonizer...
My sincere request to Indian TH-camrs to add English subtitles to videos. North or south. NRIs like me want to know what is happening from various content.
Do read this book
The true genius of European Coloniser lay not in the brutal economic and political repression of the native, but in successfully projecting his way of life as the aspirational ideal. - JSD
It's the genius of the cunning Bammans to get lots of Dakshina and also blame British for their own paaap
Thank you bhai to share important points of j sai Deepak ji and dadabhai noroji books
Top notch analysis. I am an avid reader of historical literature and your imagination just blew my mind.😮
This is false history made by cunning Bammans
Bharath is a story character.

धन्यवाद ।
great explanation
I too have started reading the book and am so immersed in the truths that have been brought out that i m ashamed to have taught history from the British perspective as has been the norm in our textbooks.
I too learnt it the same way and that's what I have passed on
You should know that this is just propaganda made by the cunning Bammans
Great 👍
Completely Agree with you brother 💯

Thank you sir 👍
You did your own research based on Sai Deepak's book, and have shown a good example of the extent of the colonized mind of even what are considered great leaders of Indian intellectual thought and independence like Nouroji.
Thanks!
I have bought this book, but am making very slow progress in reading it. But I am not giving up.
Nice video bro.
You are soo underrated ❤
It’s an absolutely amazing book! I am reading it, I can’t believe how much he knows & the truth! It makes be both sad & angry but grateful too for bringing it to us! Bless JSD!
False and kutil book
Good one
Keep doing
Good and positive
Aspirational ideal tha because there was no inequality such as in India, least superstitions, better scientific temper, constitutionalism and so on. Our society was in the gutter of superstitions, illiteracy, dogmatic religions, no scientific temper at all in those times.
I tried reading this book gave up after a point. Dictionary is must for any individual with avg English vocabulary like me
That’s true bro, the vocabulary used, is indeed difficult. But if you have a taste for legal/political literature, I don’t think it would matter much. You can give it another try coz your english sounds decent to me.
Keep it up 🔥🔥🔥🔥......
Glad you liked it
I can see what dadabhai naroji is frying to say here , i think he means that if Britain live up to its principals that it follows in england and applies it to the whole of the empire than it will do much good to the people around thr world....but as we know they didnt practised fairness , empathy , sympathy and their ideals in all of their colonies.
Only intention of Dadabhai was to show drainage of wealth from India to Britain . How we become poor country with in 100 year of rule .
Mo. Guls ruled India for 600yrs and finished 6 cr of our people but this person is afraid to tell
We were worst condition during Mo.. guls who finished crores of our people
What is price of this book?
J Sai Deepak 🔥
Bharath is story character !
West us samay progressive tha...aur us se prabhavit kaafi log they..ismey koi burai nahin..agar progressive thoughts ka chayan ho.Par West ke kuch regressive batein bhi thi..jisko hamein varjan karna chahiye.Par kuch progressive regressive baton ke saath kuch grey areas bhi they ..jisko different log different tarike se interpret katein hain.
Dadabhai naoroji was a member of British parliament,he new the British society from very close, the he perceived British society and administrative and then after doing comparative analysis of British administration in india which aim for welfare of brits not indians finds out huge contrast,so please don't misinterpret his words.he is a man of great aura.British rule in india was a blessing in disguise which United india as a political entity.
He was indeed a great intellectual, that does not mean he is infallible. He, along with other congress leaders of that time, used to think that ordinary Indians are incapable of fighting the British and for around 3 decades tried their best to confine battle with brits behind closed doors.
In no way I intend to misinterpret his words, I just quoted what he said in his book. You can do your own scrutiny and tell everyone how fairplay and justice became “British Instincts”. And how it became the duty of the British anyway. Is this not the same Whiteman’s Burden ? An Indian asking britishers that it’s their duty to do justice to all Indians!
Can’t say more.
Do you really think that divided indians at that time can defeat Britishers by force?.. There were many revolts in early 19th century which were easily suppressed by the brits, without social reform we couldn't have United the indian masses, so thanks to early social reformers and moderates who paved the way for nationalism.
no doubt the book is fantastic but since english being second language of indians ,
mr j sai deepak sir could have simplified the enlgish in his book to avoid mental gymnastics to understand the book
all in all awesome book by him .
It's available in hindi

Good insight. Please share more on concepts like onto-epistemology and other complex terms. Also the voice would be clearer without the mask
Sure! Though removing the mask is difficult(for now), but will definitely try other ways to improve the voice. Do watch my upcoming video on Savarkar and Ambedkar. Thanks.
Read the second book accidently first...it is more vast than the first one....but the thought process changed entirely and couldn't resist picking up the First part....Let me quote a line from the book that is so apt and complete in itself , " Colonisation is the process, colonialism is the policy and coloniality is the mindset or the thought that underpins or drives colonialism"....mind boggling...

He does ask some important questions but then there are also lots of presumptions and assumptions made throughout the book that are based on faulty lines of thinking. I also see a lot of cherry picking throughout. So not my favorite book but i would say cautiously embrace the good if shy and leave out all the bad, which is a lot.

This is dangerous, but tell me a good alternative than their political and social ideals.
What exactly is dangerous? Will you please elaborate a little ?
@@Kahaani-en9gm appropriating western ways of life and lenses to look.
I really want to know what is your alternative, if not western political and academical idea?
@@theconservativeone2690 How about Indic ideas originated from our scriptures. Instead of tolerance, bat for mutual respect, instead of Secularism, bat for inclusiveness and instead of hyper individualism bat for communitarian society(community should also include flora and fauna).
Alternative was always there. We never paid attention to it. The Indic epistemological approach is far better than the western approach. The west has given only confusion and destruction (except for scientific studies).
