I ran hackney half marathon on Sunday, I feel more beaten up than I did after Paris Marathon. Mystery 🤷♂️ great time dude! I broke 90mins for the first time 🙂💪
How I have been waiting for this video.. I have been following your journey for quite a long time and I have to say this has been the best opening to a running video I have ever seen. (Especially the toilet break part :D) Not to mention I am super happy You achieved your target time. I am going to continue rooting for you Eric, keep showing up!
Just the notification I needed 4 days out from my first marathon 🏃. Your content is always class, yours and Cyrus’s hard work is so evident. Keep smashing it!
Bro you were moving at a smooth clip so it makes sense when you mentioned you’re on the cusp of threshold the whole time! When showed your goal at 1:15… my first thought was he’s running average 5:30 pace… that time is getting wrecked 🔥🔥🔥 congrats bro!
i dont know how you don't have more subs/views than you do. truly one of the if not the highest production quality running channels out there. keep crushing it man!
Man your content is honestly so inspiring! As a runner and a creative, I appreciate the amount of time you put into your videos, as well as the graft you put into running! Keep smashing it man, I hope to have a community just like yours in the future!
Seeing the grind post-Boston is a great reminder to me to keep doing my PT exercises for my own post-marathon injury recovery! Keep grinding and being amazing, Eric!
Congratulations Eric! I envy your ability to put out such well constructed running videos that have this sort of film experience behind it. Truly unique of state of the art for TH-cam. When you were discussing your race intensity (being on the cusp of threshold for majority of the race), you stated something a long the lines of “being really excited about the fact that, strategically, the race was ran very well”, before you had even mentioned your finish time. I’ve been watching for awhile and you always make your goals public, when you said that my reaction or maybe how I would have reacted to feeling that way would be sort of a “cope” if my time goal wasn’t met. I would try to tell myself, even though I didn’t hit the goal, let me just make myself feel better. It wasn’t until the end that I saw that you said that and had that mindset DESPITE achieving your time goal and to you the race experience and how you prepared, how you did it was the most important thing. At 23, I continually learn new things and new mindsets about life because of your channel and I am astonished at how humble you are despite getting what you say will happen to happen. Fantastic TH-cam channel, fantastic creator. 10/10
Do you not race with Airpods anymore? I know how much you use them during training. Reason for not wearing them in Chicago, Boston, CIM or Brooklyn? Maybe marathon rule, idk?
Absolutely love them!! I do get totally wrecked in the toes/toenails though. I never feel it in the race, but half of my toenails died after Boston, and I get blisters on the toes after races like this. Don't know if it's the shoes or just my disposition. I would get it with the EP3s, but it seems to be more intense with the elites. Still feel so so fast in them.
Sounds like the Rocker. They both have them though the EPE is very aggressive. I believe the rocker starts a tad bit earlier on the EP3. The midsoles are so different. Curious what your input was. I ran Amsterdam in the EPE.
@@flobergruns The experience is better IMHO; my times are WAY slower than you so enjoyment/experience important for me. See if it fits into your schedule; long training run type of day for you. Content might pay the travel bills; bring the wife and kids? Race video plus comparison video.
Bro really unlocked the cheat code. Dropping times year after year by 5 min is just absurd. The ascension may be one of the craziest elite and non-elite. Keep going man bigger things ahead
It's Wednesday muh doooooooods! 🎉 Also, your cadence and arm movement is so good! You make 5:4xs look lke 9:2xs, you're gonna keep crushing these races.
I’m planning on running my first marathon this summer late in August. I’ve recently run a 1:22 half marathon, and I haven’t started my marathon training yet because track season has yet to end. These videos have gotten me really stoked to race a full, and I’ve been taking notes on some of the things you do in preparation. Truly inspiring stuff you do, and you’ve transformed my dread into exciting energy.
Congrats on the PR!~ Such a fun half and an insane amount of runners and support. Saw you in B before you joined your peers in A 🤣 Big PR day for me as well 🥳
Well done! I'd forgotten you were running this, would have been great to have met you! This was a homecoming for me, first time back in Brooklyn since I left for college 30 years ago! It was great to be back and enjoyed the race, looking forward to making this an annual thing. Great job!
Woke to this as the first video to watch and prep for my recovery run today. Watching this just helps me more to get better for my 3rd Marathon at CIM 🎉🎉🎉
I’m in a no run rest period to recover from shin splints right now and it’s always a great reminder why I’m doing this, so I can enjoy the sport even more. Thank you for the entertainment and motivation Eric.

Thank you so much!! Always have to be real with the toilet scenes.
Eric you are the man!!!!!! Congrats on the PR!!! You create the most beautiful videos, the cinematography is incredible. Always love your videos!
Love the music at the top of this video. Great choice. Bright piano and running belong together!

Congrats! What a day! This was my first race last year and this year didn't disappoint. Great energy in BK.
Thank you!! Such a fun one!
@@flobergruns No prob!
Love it dude 🤝🔥
Light work 😤
Awesome job grabbing a PB and a post race nap😂

Appreciate you!! Slowly building!!
What is threshold heart rate
Hi Eric!! Your videos inspire me in my first marathon, what is the name of the last song in the video? please thanks
anybody know the music that play in the final video? Please help me
It’s a different pain from the marathon. It’s extremely agonizing in the half, the full is more of a slow burn.
Man your content is honestly so inspiring! As a runner and a creative, I appreciate the amount of time you put into your videos, as well as the graft you put into running! Keep smashing it man, I hope to have a community just like yours in the future!
Thank you so much!! None of this cadence is possible with Cyrus working his magic.
@@flobergruns of course we can’t forget Cyrus! What a team man, can’t wait to see what you achieve next!
At the point now where I just give the thumbs up about 10 seconds into your video because I know what's coming! Killer PR....again!
Seeing the grind post-Boston is a great reminder to me to keep doing my PT exercises for my own post-marathon injury recovery! Keep grinding and being amazing, Eric!
Eric when are we gonna see some Floberg hats! 🧢 But seriously your content is on point. Keep it going.
Welcome to Corral A! Seriously though, why were you in B?
Who's the camera person? I can look around the channel, i suppose.

Sheesh 1:14 bro fell off 🥵
Nah but fr just gotta do that again and you’ll crack 2:30!!
lol - Realistically looking at 2:32-2:33 for Chicago I think.
NYC baby!!!
Congrats on the PR. Half always felt more like a 10k to me than a full. Lets GoBerg!
For real! It's so long to be running that fast hahaha
Do you not race with Airpods anymore? I know how much you use them during training. Reason for not wearing them in Chicago, Boston, CIM or Brooklyn? Maybe marathon rule, idk?
I just like hearing the crowds & being able to chat with people I race with. It gives me more hype than music I think.
We need more videos ! Please put also in m/km 😅
Hi Eric, just curious of how the switch to the Endorphin Elite has gone from the EP3. Appreciate any details and comparisons. Great stuff!

Next year do the nycruns Brooklyn half. The course is great.
Isn't it hillier??

Congrats.
Congrats on the PR. It was such an awesome race.

Eric, I thoroughly enjoy your running content and the stories you tell. Do you have any desire to competitively race a 5k?
I love this video, bro. Great job! Keep pushing running to your heart rate in your videos. It's an unlocker!!
All that Boston work is paying dividends man! Glad I could take part and keep doing hard things 🤘🏼
Thanks so much, Kyle! You're a legend!!

Can’t wait for the race breakdown. Wish I could have been there to run it, rejected (AGAIN) in the lottery.
