I really like watching your video, and I really want to try to make a ring from your tutorial, but how do I get the waxed cord to the size in this tutorial? I've searched the internet, but I can't find it.

oh don't worry about that, You can use other similar wires like nylon, polyester. Let try find it in the craft store around you. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to come to your country yet so I don't know exactly where you can buy them :(
