Great work ❤
Thank you, I appreciate your comment
Interesting project.Thank you for sharing. Very nice reclamation and modification of a valuable implement. Best of health and long life to you and yours in these uncertain times. 👍
Thank you brother, I appreciate it, same to you and your family.
Great job on rebuilding a heavy duty classic plow. I like how you used 5/32" 7018 on those heavy sections...leave the 1/8" electrodes for the kids in welding school lol!👍👍👍
Good morning brother, I wish my welder support 1/4" rod. It's only 185amp. I always try to use the biggest diameter welding rod if the welding machine and the metal thickness allow it. 5/32" worked great. It leaves thicker bead. Thank you for watching.
@@SalamSayhood yes, the major manufacturers are limiting electrode sizes to 3/16" [no more 7/32". 1/4", 5/16"] due to Mig and flux core use. 5/32" and 3/16" can still pour in welds!!!
I think you are correct, the last time I saw 1/4" 7018 rods at the welding supply shop it was a while back. I bought 1/4" rods in 2004 and welded 1.5" thick plates. We rented back then a gas welder (I think it was 300 amp). It worked out great. Haven't used anything thicker than 5/32" since, I did not need to use anything thicker.i still have 1/2 box of 1/4" 7018.
@@SalamSayhood My recent searches shows that only E7024 is available in 1/4 in the US . Take care Salam.
Nice fix and plow. Looks like good size for your tractor. Get the blades shining!
Thank you brother
