Used to come here when i was a kid back in the 60's. I visited here 2 days ago and after over 50 years i was really disappointed with the beach. I know things change but there was nothing there for the kids anymore. The shop on the prom was gone, nothing to replace it. The play area where i remember a merry-go-round and a concrete shelter next to it now gone, nothing to replace it. The beach now has rocks on part of it. Sad really.
Thank you for making this I am considering visiting Kinghorn for a short break with the family this year after speaking to a friend who grew up there. It looks so beautiful.
Lovely video Howard. Thank you for putting this on. Been to Kinghorn many times - its my favorite place to stay. Seeing the beach makes me 'homesick ' for it even tho I live in Yorkshire. I'll be back there - you even showed the house I always stay at - as soon as I can. Thank you x
Thank you Elli for your kind comments. Yes, it is a lovely place. I travel from the Glasgow area regularly just to take in the views and the peaceful atmosphere. The new Forth crossing is also amazing. Hopefully, once lockdown is over I will make another video of the area.
my x2 great grandfather David Duncan Ewan lived here as did his father before him etc i always go to dunfermline, to where my grandfather John grew up and seeing this beautiful town, i feel drawn to see where my family lived. it is beautiful, looks like a calming place to live
It certainly is a lovely little town. I have fond memories of childhood holidays here and regularly visit throughout the year. Thanks for watching my video.
