what a sick review! im demoing the countach rn but im wondering how they compare to the deathwish, going for a new daily for next season
Thanks man, glad you like it. I think the DW is going to have a bit more charge in it and a little less surf. I really like the C110 because you can switch gears between straight lining and schmoo turning. All that being said either or is going to rock as daily drivers. ðŠðĪ
Love the DWs as my daily and Commander 92s for groomer days. Just had the Ghost Train 2025 bindings mounted yesterday! Hoping this rain goes away and Alyeska has a 4th kickass LaNina winter in a row! We need AK Pow Now ;))
Thanks for the quiver description, sounds solid! I am gonna get some DWâs to replace my BC Animas. I heard about your snowpack, hope it turns around soon man!ð
Hey man! Love the video. Don't see a lot on Moment skis TH-cam wise. Have you ridden other Moment skis? Curious about how much the Countach differs from the Wildcat 108 or Deathwish 112. I am looking at the Countach for a great daily driver for me a Stevens Pass (smaller mountain with some good steep terrain, bowls, drops, cliffs, etc.) that I can also take to bigger mountains out west. Love a strong ski for being able to hit the fall line, drop a cliff and run out the landing, but also decently maneuverable ski for tight steep trees and chutes.
Hey man, glad you liked the vidð. I am beyond stoked with the C110, it is a very versatile, stable and fun ski that can go Fâing fast. I also have the Moment Comi for AK and Andes heli ski type terrain, 135 underfoot, full throttle ski. Getting back to C110, they are going to be my daily drivers for Mammoth, especially chair 22 which sounds very similar to Stevens Pass, cliffs, couloirs, steep faces that get bumped up, kinda like a mini KT22. I know the C110 have been super well received by rippers and FWT athletes. It is supposed to have the best of the Wildcat (softer playful) and the Deathwish/Commander (stiff/charger). I can tell you I ran these things fast coming off drops and they were all there, but skied them in a bumped up couloir (avy 2 chute) and they were very manageable. Everything youâre looking for should be delivered with these boards. They are so popular they are coming out with a Countach 104 for next year. Hope this helpsðĪ
@@kurtschmid Hey thanks for the in depth response. Sounds like it is right up my alley. Being up here at Stevens we definitely get a lot of hard/rough chop after storms due to the nature of the snow (cascade concrete) so I think the Countach would get the edge of the Wildcat 108. Doesn't seem like it would be too much for Stevens Pass being a bit smaller of a place vs Mammoth or Kirkwood or something similar.
@colemyers8318 Agreeðdefinitely let me know how you make out.
Hi, there Kurt! I purchased the Countach 110 this season but still need to mount bindings. Did you choose the recommended -8 cm? Seems, you are a quite directional Skier with forward stance and pressure on the shovels ðĪ... so am I... Maybe you could have went for -10 cm? Greetings from Austria.
Cheers, Parzl
Hey Parzi!
Sick that you got the Moment Countach 110, you will not be disappointed ð. Our shop the Forerunner in Killington Vermont has always mounted on the recommended spot. I have the Countach and Comiâs mounted on this line and it is perfect!! I would mount on the recommended line unless you are skiing switch a ton. I land small airs switch but otherwise I am skiing forward. Totally stoked you got these boards, let me know what you think and thanks for dropping your question from OZðððĪ
â@@kurtschmidExactly what I was looking to hear! I grabbed a pair as well and have been holding off on the mount for the same reason.
I'm a north east skier as well. This will be the ski I take with me out west, but I also plan on occasionally using them back east. How many days did you put on them at Killington? Even though they are big mountain chargers, did they feel at home in all types of conditions?
Hey man! I think you are going to be so stoked on your C110. I am based out in Mammoth for winters now and only get to K a few days a winter and didnât use them at K. That being said, I used them on bulletproof Sierra refrozen and they are super versatile. I would say in general, if you can sink an edge in the snow the CT110 will be good. They are not unruly at all, enjoy them and post some vid shredding OL and tag me @mayor_of_gaperville ðĪ
@@kurtschmid Will do! Thanks for the response. Happy shredding!
