Even referenced in other games. In gta online you can buy a car called the 8F Drafter and get a decal called Racing The Edge that looks a lot like the need for speed mw decal.
It's clear as day that the original NFSMW needs a solid remaster, or a remake. It's been 15 fuckin years since this game has released and it still holds No. 1 place in all NFS franchise.

MW 2012 was originally a direct sequel to 2005, but due to EA's pressuring, there was no time to make a full fledged sequel. A very early built of MW 2 actually still exists, and there is gameplay of it. NFS MW story was basically getting this car back. Which really got people's hearts stuck on it so they made a character out of it. Literally everyone who played most wanted back then knows the heart of racing everyone in Rockport, beating the best cops, and splitting town as soon as you snatched it, knows the sweat and effort that game put us through. Going forward we basically had this car by our side till a new generation. I'm glad they did the m3 gtr right in NFS heat. Im hoping the NFS games can take off from here on out, and keep this car in good graces.

I like the NFS most wanted 2012 more. It has better graphics, I like finding cars and painting them. There are two things that I hate - low number of races and tuning. AI of both police and racers are great. They are not dumb nor too smart. I liked both NFS MW 2005 and 2012, but my favourite is the 2012 version. Everyone has got a different opinion.
Heat actually did this car justice. Feels and sounds like Frankenstein’s monster of street meets track.
Not to mention that the sound design in Most Wanted (2005) and Carbon isn't fully accurate compared of that to Heat and didn't age very well nowadays, as Blackbox used a TVR Cerbera 4.5 V8 engine noise instead of the real-life M3 GTR's P60B40 V8 which felt out of place. And not to mention that the straight-cut gears whine sounded like a goddamn vacuum cleaner.
@@CodyDBuni I actually disagree, in heat, it sounds more synthetical and the whine sound, gets cut at times, while in most wanted, the sound is more cinematic and soft, but quite accurate to the original as shown in th-cam.com/video/FstXpvGzxZI/w-d-xo.html

@@CodyDBuni No? MW 2005 was honestly he closest they got to the real thing. Carbon was spot on but it was more like you were hearing it from INSIDE the car rather than outside of it. The whine in MW and even in Carbon wasn’t that bad, and it’s one of the best parts of the GTR.

Many people asks "How did you get the BMW in the first place ?"
Well according to many black box devs the story behind it was that :
After beating everyone on U2 and becoming the best racer on Bayview, the player just wants to move on and so one day he races a rookie for slips (Rookie car was a shitty bmw M3 that he found on a junk yard). The player do manage to win but he gives his car to him(rookie) (his car is the one that you finish the game with). Rookie takes your car and the player takes the rookie's car (BMW M3), and then he started to travel across the us modding his car and making it better. After a few months he heard about a group of racers (,blacklist) in a city called Rockport. That's how he gets the BMW. The idea was about having a Underground 3 after pro street following the rookie (losing the player's car of course and starting from zero.) But do to lack of time and EA forcing a (Undercover) theme NFS game, Underground 3 never saw the light of day and this story was Left on the shadows with the Black box devs
So the M3 GTR is actually a street legal M3 with a widebody kit & an engine swap?

I’m gonna be honest. The BMW M3 GTR was my favorite car and it was a shame when it was totaled in carbon but now that it’s back in nfs heat I’m enjoying that strait cut gear whine
Back then motion blur was a thing to add immersiveness
But nowadays it's an additional graphic setting which people turns off to get extra FPS
This is only valid in competitive games where you need every possible pixels to be able to see your opponents. Doesn't really apply to casual games like NFS.

the E92 is another remake with some parts and accessories of the original and true E46 m3 GTR race car... that bmw disappeared and I don't know what did it

The BMW M3 GTR From Most Wanted 2012 is the real GTR have the rollcage ,racing seats,bbs wheels straight cut gears , real GTR accesories also more accurate than heat because is the right body kit ,the rear bumper from heat doesn't have vents and the roll cage is the wrong one also the vents on the hood are bigger and the center hood vent is wrong
