  • Here is my first impression of Kymco's KRV 180i TCS. KRV stands for, Kymco Renew your Vision. The KRV 1 80 is the world's first compact scooter with a motorcycle-inspired independent swingarm. It also has a fully digital instrument panel, an anti-lock braking system, and a keyless system. The KRV 1 80 is Euro-5 compliant. Its liquid-cooled engine is powered by a new 1 75 c c, Four-stroke, Four valves, single-cylinder engine that produces 16.7 horsepower and 15.6 Newton-meter torque.
    It has 270 mm front disc brakes and 234 mm rear disc brakes. The KRV 1 80 features a 143-kilogram EFI engine and 7.2 liters of fuel capacity. The aluminum swingarm mounts the engine centrally within the chassis rather than the swingarm like most scooters. It will be an excellent ride, whether on a bumpy road or a long straightaway.

    I did a test drive with the KRV, the best handling and overall package is outstanding. The chassis is really the best I have ever experienced on a scooter, it turns easily around corners. Very good compromise between sportiness and comfort, first-class workmanship.

    At last a scooter that don’t need to remove the exhaust to change the rear tyre. This is perfect.

    Hi: How do you get to do so many test drives? In the U.S. test drives are normal. But in PH the first time you ride it is after you buy it. In December 2023 I bought a Honda CRF 150. A wonderful street/slash trail bike. I love driving it on street but it is too much for me off road. I would have known that if I had done a test drive before buying it. I still like it, but not for off road. I am 69.

      Hi. Honda used to lend me bikes. Also, they allow test drives for freshly released bikes.

    As always in these "tests" the most important info is missing. What is yout height? So that us in Europe or USA can even start to think about it or just forgot as something too small

      Hi. Thanks for watching the video. No, it wasn't forgotten. I simply didn't bother to mention it. The target audience of the channel are Filipinos, btw. But I'm thrilled to find out my videos are watched abroad. I'm 5'8" and this, for me, was a comfortable ride. I would be glad to include such details if I get a chance to review another motorcycle or scooter in the future. Thank you kindly.

      @@ridealive So you are quite high ;-) Me from Czech Republic and 6'3". A lot of people watching reviews from around Asia because they are not here (and of course if at all those bikes get here as well), but KRV looks very interesting.

      I was supposed to review Kymco scooters this week, but Covid got me, so, I will have to try again when I'm out of the woods.

      @@ridealive It's as well because eg. Nmax and PCX ( I have this one ) are here and size is not a problem. Saw comparison between KRV and Nmax and Kymco has bigger wheelbase and from your video it looks like a lot of space for legs. Often scooter manufactures fuck up something in this area like handlebars too low, seat too low, plastics too much towards knees and so on, but this one looks promising as a whole package similar to Aprilia SR GT 200

    • @ridealive
      @ridealive  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is. I have a throat problem and I can only speak for 10 to 15 minutes before my throat starts to hurt. So, TTS helps me get the message across.

      The KRV? I'm pretty sure Kymco will sell it there too.
