- Today, our errand day somehow turns into a Siena City Walking Tour as we explore Italy's Medieval Tuscan Gem! 😍🇮🇹 Matteo was WAY too excited to not give you some fun facts about this fascinating city and its deep-rooted ties to its 17 districts, along with its relationship to the Palio di Siena - the most INSANE horse race in Italy! 🐎 We get lost in the labyrinth of streets, stumbling across the most stunning views over the city and its quickly changing landscape on a gorgeous autumn day! 🍁 🍃🍂

My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed the Tuscany series, thank you! That said we hope everything is OK in your world. Posting six month old vids has us wondering if something unfortunate happened and you’re just ‘treading water’ till you can get back to filming. Best wishes from us to you!
“I like turtles” 😂😂😂
And Matteo was in full teacher mode and was extremely insightful as always! Another wonderful video guys!
Go to Certaldo. We stayed there for 4 nights last summer, doing road trips to Luca, Volterra, San Gimignano at night, when it was a little calmer, and Florence. Every morning and evening, we were treated to a more quiet and authentic experience. You gotta rent a car, but that was part of the adventure
One of the most beautiful squares in Italy.
That restaurant has no Michelin Stars if you look closely. They are on the "honorable mentions" list a few times. That's why their prices are not excessive.
Yup; they’re in the Michelin guide, but it is not starred.
Ahh we didn't notice that, thanks for the clarification! 😅
@@TheGlobalExpats No worries… small point in the whole vid… loving these ling formats!
Bellissima Siena!
This was just a wonderful video. I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Awesome day
We’ve been waiting for a new episode and this one is great! Be safe!
Thank you very much for this video. Siena is beautiful. My favorite city in Italy! Greetings from Argentina!
Hey Antonio, thank you so much! 🥰
I love watching Matteo geek over history facts. Why was the Pallio video banned?
this was wonderful, thank you fir taking us along on this unexpected tour ❤️ such a beautiful place to be able to experience!!!
Aww thank you Cheryl, it is truly an incredible city! 🥰
Been watching your videos for months to study for our Italy trip, and we'll be there this Wed on our honeymoon! So excited, thanks so much for your great videos!
Thoroughly enjoyed the stroll through one of the most beautiful cities. Thank a lot guys!
I spent an afternoon in Sienna on a day trip from Florence, it is a beautiful city but I never got to see it like you both have ♥️♥️♥️
❤❤❤❤❤❤
If you can, make sure you visit Torino (Turin). I was there recently. Beautiful. And don't forget about the chocolate.
And drink Bicerin!
Thanks for another get video. I will definitely buy you guys a pizza. I have visited Catania, Ortigia and Taormina so far and can’t wait to explore more of Italy. Have another trip planned in May, including Siena and after watching this, I really can’t wait!
Aww thank you very much Nicola, that's very kind of you! 🥰 Your trips sound incredible and we hope you have an awesome time exploring more of Italy! 🇮🇹
Yoooooo guuuuuuuysss!! For me Siena is in Top 3 beautiful cities of Italy.... Siena, Venice and Florence, simply unbeatables.
Hi Ale! 100% That would be very hard to argue with, they are absolutely stunning cities! 🥰
Great tour, thanks guys. Do you find travelling in the colder months better? I love Italy and plan to go back but I'm thinking I'll go October/November. But I'm wondering, are most touristy places closed? What about restaurants and cafes? It looked pretty quiet at 5pm there, I know it's early for most Italians for dinner, do they still open later for dinner in the colder months?
Off topic I guess, but by any chance were you at the Doges Palace in Venice on May 11? I saw either you or your twin but didn't approach the person in case I was wrong and didn't want to make a fool of myself, lol!
Love your videos.
The mysterious sound to me is the metal cable of a flag pole hitting on the flag pole in a steady wind...
Never heard of anti burd electric fences, also why would it give out a sound on regular intervals like that?
“I like turtles” bahaha #iykyk 🙌🏼😂🐢
Hi guys! Miss you! Question: Which video was it when you didn't validate your train ticket in your phone before the train departed and you had to validate it on the next scheduled train? Or maybe please just explain what you did as the workaround. Also, I just read something that said only regional tickets had to be validated. Is that right? TIA
I liked your random approach to the city. The Cathedral is really amazing. It's my favorite in Italy. I liked it better than St Peter's
Thank you Ron! We visited the cathedral a few days later and were absolutely blown away, so we understand why it is your favorite and with good reason! 😍
Someday we will make it to Sienna. Where are you now? Where is next filming location?
Hi Grandma Bev! We are currently still in South Africa sorting a few things out so that we can begin planning the next leg of the journey. We are not 100% decided on the next location yet! 😅
@@TheGlobalExpats Wherever you end up going I’m sure it will be very entertaining to watch. Mateo should be a historian or tour guide. He’s so knowledgeable.

Chemtrails all over. It’s a shame. We miss the sun.
Hey Guys..Just wondering..Matteo said we are now in mid November if so why have you only posted this video in early May 2024
Hey Daniel, you are correct 😅 Unfortunately, at this moment, we are unable to remain in Italy full time and so the majority of our content is recorded during longer trips we take in Italy when we get the opportunity. We have a bunch of Q&A’s coming up that will explain our situation in more detail! 🥰
@@TheGlobalExpats OK thanks for the explanation guys..always enjoy your videos..please keep them coming 🙂
Be careful from whom you purchase tickets online. My husband and I were sent by email vouchers "with old information and wrong" meeting point with our guide. The operator and guide later admitted this, but operator refused to place us in a group another day, said, unfortunately our vouchers expired. The operator is "My tour", or at least that's how they identified themselves.
Are you drunk today ?? Or stoned ? Not your usual voice ?
🤣 Some crisp Tuscan air, a little red wine, and just the embrace of life. The perfect combo John! 😎
Love that crisp Italian mountain air but a bit less of the vino next time. Love your site and keep up the good work ! Your videos are great and give everyone on the outside a good look at what Italy has to offer - Be Good !!
