So I'm really curious, why stick to Gmod 9 specifically and make addons for it?
Community im a part of kept servers running after the release on steam. And between 2007-2009 when there still was a player base for gmod 9 facewan became probably the biggest one and eventually the only one remaining. Then it just came to be that we stuck around. Its been pretty on and off for me myself. Nafrayu is the one who really has been the driving force for the remaining Gmod 9 players. With 2020 horror ARGs blew up so the game saw a bit of an upswing again.
Why make mods for it? Lua for it is pretty bare bones compared to Gmod 10, but it is pretty fun figuring out how to accomplish something with a limited toolset!
