Hi Rachel! So great to hear from you, as always. My 25 year old son was here today and watched this video with me. And what does he say? "Mom, her voice is so soothing, she should make nap time videos"!! I laughed so hard, but it's true...you are a treasure. I said from the beginning, you are "America's Sweetheart". We love you and Matt. Blue & White transferware is so beautiful, and you make displays so appealing. What I notice most about you, you can move a piece to a different area and Voila, a whole different display, or feel. It never gets boring, ever. Thank you for being here, so many of us look forward to hearing from you🌷🥰 Lina
That is a beautiful collection of blue and white! Blue is not my color but if I had to buy a piece or two, I would look into your pieces. I love the soft blue color and style of each piece you have!
Really awesome collection of Blue & White. Enjoyed watching the beautiful video. I have Subscribe to your lovely channel. With love from SAM Guwahati, Assam, India 🇮🇳 ♥️
Your video is wonderful, those pieces spectacular, good inspiration for use of my pieces. As a little girl, there wasn't much under the Christmas tree due to poverty. But I could still dream, in those days over the lovely things in the Sears Christmas catalogue, Once, I saw a set of children's blue and white ceramic dishes. Knowing I could never presume to ask my wonderful parents for such an extravagance, I had never forgotten those dishes. So, to this day, my enjoyment from blue and whites collected over the years has helped me decorate my home, Thank You, sincerely, from a Canadian dairy farmer's daughter, retired.
Mrs. Ben here. I know the feeling growing up eldest of 5 girls on a small farm in Idaho. I just found a vintage blue willow child's tea set - complete at a second hand store for $10. 60 years later is never too late...
Hello Rachel! 👋. What a beautiful Collection you have Curated!!! 🤗. I just recently found a beautiful Blue & White Stripes (the same as your Tea Towels) Oven Mitts at the Dollarama. I was shocked! 😯. I have been looking at Homesense ( as some TH-camrs have mentioned they carry them. Not Vintage but more affordable). But Our TJ Max doesnt seem to carry any when i go. I haven't been to a Antique Store in ages, but i will definitely start sourcing Etsy. They are such beautiful and tineless pieces indeed! 😁😀. It SO fun to Gather such beautiful pieces for Our Cozy English Cottage, isn't it?? Your Home is so pretty! I hope you and Matt have a beautiful weekend! PS. I cant believe it has been 1 week today since my Surgery! Still in Recovery but slowly getting better ☺️💚🙏🏻!
Good evening, Miss Trudy! Your oven mitts sound like such a great deal! You will love Etsy for so many things cottage! I've found copper, dishes, art, plus there are many lovely lamps on there... Yes, it is fun to collect just the right pieces for our home to make it more functional & beautiful. Yay, for progress in recovery! I'm glad you're doing well, and hope you have a wonderful weekend as well!
It’s a good idea to add a glass to ANY piece you plan to use for flowers, even if it isn’t already cracked or crazed. I discovered that not using a liner when arranging flowers can cause the piece to discolor and craze.
10:25 it doesn't surprise me that your love of everything 🇬🇧 English extends to parfums as well: spotting the 'Yardley' bottle on your bathroom shelf. Same here for this 🇳🇱 "Anglophile" girl😅, who, like you, loves everything 🇬🇧: from their history, gardens, books/Art and foods to fragrances. Oh my goodness, (as a European) I never would have thought/guessed that you spend sooo much money for single, often even damaged, 🇬🇧 "blue transverse ware" items. That's one expensive pursuit/hobby. Now I would really love to know how "expensive" these items would be, if they were found in a Goodwill Shop (thriftstore) or Carboot sale (garage/yard sale) back here in England. The blue tile "backsplash" (landscape), you spotted in the Antique store: isn't 🇬🇧British. It's 🇳🇱Dutch blue 'Delft Ware'. And shows a 16th century riverside town view with our destictive 'trapgevel' (gabled) town houses✌🏻. Oh, and your Salt box and Flower frog are NOT decorated in an 🇬🇧 print. Thats is the famous 🇩🇪German "Zwiebelmuster" (Union-Print) originally from the 'Meissen' porcelain factory. Which was later also copied/produced/sold by the porcelain factories 'Huttensteinach', 'Regout' and 'Société Céramique' here in Europe 🇪🇺. I hope the winner will be really happy with their flower-frog. 😊👋🏻🇳🇱
What a great collection!!! They are so beautiful. I absolutely love blue and white, I've been decorating with them for a few years now and I just can't see them ever not being in my decor, they are classic!
Hi Rachel! I am your newest subscriber! I LOVE your blue and white collection! I just started mine! I found your channel and love it! Thank you for sharing your blog and your love for Jesus! I am so excited to follow along! With my best, Meaghan
Hi, there Meaghan! Welcome to the Stone Cottage Home family, we're thrilled to have you along! Glad you enjoyed the video & our blog. ☺️ Warmly, Rachel
My collection is small as yet, but my favorite piece is a lovely stained blue and white saucer from the thrift store (50 cents). It just makes my heart happy.
Good morning, Ms. Rachel! Thank you for sharing your beautiful blue and white transferware collection, as well as your helpful tips on collection building. It truly is inspiring. 💙 🤍💙🤍💙 ❤, Bobbie.
Oh my goodness, your handmade block print lamp shades are absolutely gorgeous!!!!! I just found a small lamp shade and some red print fabric for $1.99 at my local thrift store to try my hand at making one. I will have to find your tutorial. Blue and white is my favorite, and lucky for me, I have been collecting for 40 years, when it was very affordable. You have some amazing pieces. Love the mini soup tureen and butter dish base. I have learned to really check size details when ordering off Etsy too. Now I would be on the hunt for a tiny spreader knife in blue and white. I believe Spode makes a set. Maybe you could find a single one on line. Your kitchen is the most cozy, cottage kitchen I have seen. What a beautiful job you and your husband have done. Its so satisfying to watch your vision come to fruition.
Your comment is so kind! How very fun you are going to try your hand at a pleated lampshade ~ you can so it! The tutorial is called "No Sew Pleated Lampshade." Thank you for stopping by today!
Mrs Ben here, such a beautiful collection. I just this year began finding a pure copper piece here and there while thrift shopping. Love how your combo looks.
Another hit Miss Rachel!! You'd probably be surprised to see how much I've copied you with the blue and white!!!! Ive always loved it. Have had it packed away for decades. But, being inspired by you, I've brought it back out again. I've hung it, filled it, displayed it in every nook and cranny, and STILL looking/thrifting and wanting more! Right now its a brush holder for my kitchen sink like you and Miss Mustard Seed. You've really inspired this old woman, (83) and my apt has truly become my feathered, curated, nest.. ❤ Thank you so much kiddo. I LOVE your videos! So happy everytime youre on. 😊
How I would love to meet you, Miss Joann & see your lovely home! I recognize your name every time it pops up. We've been talking decor for years now! It makes me so happy to know how much you've benefitted from this channel ~ thank you for letting me know. 😊
I love all your youtube videos. I always save them on my playlist so i can look them over from time to time for decorating inspiration. Thank you for all you do. 😊
I so enjoyed seeing your collection. I, too, love blue and white china (and cobalt and milk glass). Several years ago, I removed my shallow basket collection from my soffit over my kitchen cabinets and hung up some of my blue and white plates--a mix of thrifted souvenir plates, Blue Willow types, and English Staffordshire types. My "good" dishes are Royal Mail in blue, a Staffordshire china. I never tire of them all. THEN, my Christmas church fair had Better Homes & Gardens swag curtains with b & w jugs and dishes on the borders. Perfect! Last year when I had to get a new refrigerator, I asked my tall son to hang my copper mold collection on the 2 walls behind the fridge--another touch that makes me smile!
Oh my goodness! I have been collecting transfer ware for YEARS and I absolutely loved this video! I don't have a ton of blue but I think now I'm going to pay more, attention to that color. So lovely! Thank you!
Oh, how fun! I wish we could all share our collections and how we use them with each other! Glad you enjoyed your visit and appreciate you sharing. Have a lovely weekend!
Hi Rachel - I'm always excited for a new video. Because of you, I've expanded my collection, and my newer pieces are similar to ones you have that I didn't realize I "needed". In the photo of the flower frog, I see the girls at the piano piece of art that I recently purchased from you. I also found a new consignment store and got a big Spode platter with a scalloped edge for $45. It turns out to be limited edition and only found one on line for over $100! Thanks for making me realize that the pieces don't have to be perfect (hence garnering a better price) to still be used.
I'm so glad you've found some decor pieces that work for your home! That Spode platter sounds pretty. Yes, you're right, things don't have to be perfect to be lovely!
I love your blue and white collection and it looks wonderful with copper pieces too. I also adore red and white transferware. So far I have not collected much of either, it's always so expensive when I see it but I will have to keep looking. Thank you for such a lovely video. ☺
I adore blue transferware…, ok all transferware tbh. Brown and blue are my absolute favorite. I have a blue and white sugar bowl similar to miss mustard seed and use it in the exact same way (dish brushes). I did find a tureen just yesterday antique shopping ($19, Alcott Florence china in Maryland pattern)
Good morning, Miss Barbara! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Be sure to fill out the form in the link below the video so your name will be entered in the giveaway.
Great job! I appreciate your common sense and inspiring information. Even in my last years, I enjoy my collections and changing or adding to achieve more flow in my home. I need to reign it in and you are helping!
I love your style! Blue and white transferware is timeless. Thanks for sharing your style advice with all. And I also just discovered your Pinterest page!!
Lovely and helpful video! Your collection is breathtaking! I am obsessed with blue and white handmade dishes called Canton. George Washington collected and used Canton. We have found pottery pieces of it on the beaches of a 1740 seaport in New England when living there. Now that we live on a little island on the East Coast, the blue and white Canton looks beautiful, mimicking the color of the ocean. Thanks again! God bless.
Thankyou for sharing, everything is lovely. Do you mind if I ask if you work outside the home? Everything always seems absolutely perfect. It's as if you have more time to curate and decorate. Your home is beautiful!💐
A beautiful collection. Thank you for sharing ea h piece, and prices, it helps to get an idea. I am hoping to eventually find a blue and white umbrella holder.
I love your collection! Just recently my sister passed on a tip to 'clean' up the cloudy stain marks and cracks in pieces like this--by using a denture fizzy tablet in water. I found that I had to use several tablets and even repeat the process for some stubborn stains to disapear or fade. While I had varying degrees of success, they look so much better now.
Hi Rachel.. so good to see you and hope your doing well 😌 Your videos are always beautifully put together and I’m learning so much from you and yes I’m incorporating Blue and white in my decor and loving it..I might have told you I scored a hutch for my kitchen for $45 at an estate sale plus most of a set of currier and Ives for $35.. My statement pieces will come slowly and carefully and that’s okay.. I’m enjoying the process largely due to your inspiration! I entered the contest l.. fingers crossed 🤞!! Have a great week😊 Your Ky friend Belinda
Good morning, Miss Belinda! It's encouraging to know you are finding the videos helpful. You've scored a great deal on both the hutch and the Currier & Ives dishes. What fun! Yes, I've come to love the slow process each time the perfect piece comes along, and we're able to create a home economically. Best wishes! Rachel

What a beautiful collection you have created! They all flow so well together and look so soft and elegant. I love transferware. I have some red for christmas and some green for everyday. I have a few brown pieces for fall. I change out my hutch for the seasons. I have enjoyed looking at thrift stores and antique stores. MIne are all different patterns so that makes it easier. Love all the examples you show. Your videos are always so informative as well as pretty.
Good afternoon, Miss Julie! Isn't it satisfying to find such pretty, useful treasures at a bargain?! I'm glad you find your visits helpful and inspirational!
I absolutely love transferware! I have some in red, blue, and green; I'd love to add some brown. Rachel, you have a plate/platter with cows and flowers. Is there a maker's mark? It is so different from prints I typically see and I would like to find a few pieces with that print.
Good morning, Miss Anita! Thank you for your patience. The platter is antique Staffordshire and has the word "Parma" and the letters "E C" which stand for Edward Pallinor. The number 12 is pressed into the back as well. I hope this helps!
Entered... Good luck to everyone! I always learn something from you. Your collection is beautiful. I love the blue and white yet favor the red and white just a wee bit more 😊 Thank you for sharing. Who are the 2 other you-tubers that you get ideas from that you mentioned? Thanks
Blue and white, ooh la la. It's all about grandmother's house, passed down to mother and inherited by me. Who will I give it to, because I have no decendants. Hahaha. Thanks for your information on how to make your rooms homey. It seems the farmhouse interior is ugly white. I like colors of country flora....e
THANK YOU ! YOUR BLUE AND WHITE MIRRORS MINE !! I'VE BEEN BUYING THIS BLUE TRANSFER CRICK SINCE 1977 !! NICE COLLECTION 😊
Glad you enjoyed!

Beautiful! I love your collection!
Thank you!
Wonderful tip, thank you!
Great tip, thanks for sharing!
Beautiful ❤
Thank you!
Hi Rachel.. so good to see you and hope your doing well 😌 Your videos are always beautifully put together and I’m learning so much from you and yes I’m incorporating Blue and white in my decor and loving it..I might have told you I scored a hutch for my kitchen for $45 at an estate sale plus most of a set of currier and Ives for $35.. My statement pieces will come slowly and carefully and that’s okay.. I’m enjoying the process largely due to your inspiration! I entered the contest l.. fingers crossed 🤞!!
Have a great week😊
Your Ky friend

Good morning, Miss Belinda!
It's encouraging to know you are finding the videos helpful. You've scored a great deal on both the hutch and the Currier & Ives dishes. What fun! Yes, I've come to love the slow process each time the perfect piece comes along, and we're able to create a home economically. Best wishes!
Rachel
Good morning, always looking forward to your lovely videos, thank you😃

Thank you, Miss Helen!
I love the blue and white yet favor the red and white just a wee bit more 😊
Thank you for sharing.
Who are the 2 other you-tubers that you get ideas from that you mentioned? Thanks
Good evening!
The two other ladies that skillfully use blue and white in their decor are: Marian Parsons (Miss Mustard Seed) and Cathy Kincaid.
Beautiful ilovet thanks for sharing.
Sure, thanks for stopping by!
Lovely collection!!
Thank you!!
👍👍👍
So pretty !!!
Glad you enjoyed!
