I do like the narration of Matt Cooper, providing great and clear narration and great voice acting and a great branch line story, reminded me of 'Hosepipes and Shunters'.
This video is 10 years old and I still come back to watch this. It truly is one of the timeless stories the fandom has on TH-cam. Loved your work then and still love your work now.
Great stuff as always. :) The story was very well written and the policeman was a definite highlight. Enjoyed the little Sodor Island News bit at the start as well - nice touch.
Love the tracking shot around 3:05, the eye movements from Toby and Thomas in the beginning looked very natural, and very reminiscent of the old model era show. Overall you have a great eye for composition, knowing how to frame things, and when to put things in the foreground for depth. It's apparent all throughout this production.
I must say Daniel, another fine piece of work. The animation of the drivers and crazytalk eyes are on form as usual. Story was superb and I thought the news report was very original! Nice one lad
An overall wonderful production, Dan. It was a treat to watch my layout prove its usefulness to the story. I can only hope that Ty and the team can help me finish it for a release on the Sudrian community fan site
That wasn't bad at all - nice change of pace from the last vid, and glad to see the CrazyTalk / music choices have improved since also. Rather enjoyed the Sodor Weather report in the beginning, though we could have had some more human character edits in place of the standard people models Trainz had to offer.
I must say, that policeman was certainly this island's Javert. "Honest work, just reward. "That's the way to please the Lord." I mean, who would have the nerve to arrest a Chief Constable for speeding? ROFL
Wow, I never imagined a policeman like that one to be at such an edge over something as simple as refilling a tank in an emergency. How did that dude get so uppity over what he thought as a criminal offense. Toby suffered WAY too much from that creep. I never EVER trusted him for that very reason and I still won't.
Excellent story, most enjoyable! Must say though, I'm not sure of the policeman's motivations in trying to stop Toby using the hosepipe in a clear emergency. Would he RATHER Toby have sat there, unable to move, or worse, let his boiler run dry & explode, taking part of the town with him? Especially appreciated the detail of the quarry standpipe being removed now that only Mavis (& Ted, if he exists in your 'verse) go up there. Helps Sodor feel like a dynamic, living, evolving place.
Great story, I liked the news report at the beginning, it's a very good way to start the story I think. That policeman needed to learn to relax, maybe think things through. How would Toby have been able to move his trucks away from the road if he didn't get water first? I'm assuming no other engines could come to help, of course. I really enjoyed this.. and I think I'm going to watch it a second time. :)
I'm definitely subscribing this is very nice. P.S. I like what you did with policeman. I'll admit I wanted to punch him while he was in the town, but at the end, I'd want him as my friend. :)

A wonderful story and superbly narrated. The music from the railway children made this even more beautiful. A real triumph!!!
whoa, what a stunner, amazing fan made content
Twelve years later, and I think this holds up pretty well. Trainz content is absolutely timeless.
Very inspiring piece, that was a lot of fun to watch.
It's pretty much when Toby discovered that their was no water tower and that he needs a hosepipe.

a most enjoyable tale, proving that you don't need runaways and accidents to make a good story.
Cool story. Amazing that the railway took place across the road. And I didn't expect the policeman to apologise.
This Brings Back Memories
Fantastic work on the story chap, especially with Toby and the red-faced policeman since Series 1's "Thomas in Trouble" episode. :)
Love that there's Railway Children music in this.
loving the use of the music from the Railway Children bud awesome episode :)

How cute. You used Toby's Theme from Season 1 at the end of the story. I love it.
1:47 leaning like a boss. lol
Also, props to you for your CrazyTalking. Very clean, very fluid. Seriously, I am inspired by this.
You did such an awesome job on this video with the choice of music, narration and storywriting.:)
WELL DONE!

DarthWill3 and using a silly law in Thomas breaks the rules
This is great! I love it!
You really are a gifted writer!
I miss the old days of watching videos like this

yeah, your right. But, at least he settled into the slow pace at the end.
Wow! This is awesome!
quite humorous, a great advantage to make a joke of the Hosepipe ban XD
Another amazing story. That lousey police man must not know that steam trains can't move without water.
lovely story im not really a trainz fan but your story has made me have another look
Very well done :) Ha at least one good thing came out of the *real* hosepipe ban XD
6:12 It's Stan & Ollie!
Great story Dan, keep 'em coming :D
Excellent story, most enjoyable!

great story
God i hate that policeman, xD
Leaning like a boss! LOL!
Also the new policeman got fired! :P
@tardisrescue No problem Dan. I hope we can do something like this again soon
Reminds Me Of Time For Trouble
Ever been told that it was going to be nice weather all month long only for people to be dead wrong
good episode
nice work danel
After all, layouts are meant to be enjoyed by all, not remain stuck in one place

I'll bet Sir Topham Hatt gave the Constable and Quarry Manager a "word" after this.
i love it good job and its funny because there is a hose pipe band in uk lol. trams are the best type of train YAY
Very good mate +5
Poor Toby suffered a lot in this story. But it is better than one written by Sharon Miller.
How would the policeman be able to arrest Toby? I don't think there's a jail cell big enough :P
I hope it means a lot because its true! :)
Thomas and Toby -in- Hot Fuzz
Railway stories right?
Nice story.
Nice video amazing
remind's me of sarge blaketon from heartbeat.the police man does
what i means is that a river flows right thought it
Have you used some of the music from Herbie in this?
No?
It just sounded familiar, especially 3:58 and 4:35.
Where is the music from?
The Railway Children
Do'h don't know quite how I got those two mixed up!
how do you get the eyes to move?
will this route be getting a release ???
so the map shows that sodor is 2 isles not 1
what a great episode but should the new Police have known that steam engines need water to work and to stop damage to their boilers?
He's a policeman, not a railwayman :)
where did you get toby's theme from
lol yeah good job
haha fair enough :)
Why is it everyone is so obsessed with making stories about freaking policemen? 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Oi you!
