I’ll have to look into them. I wondered what brand you were wearing.

Likewise, I'm still using my pair nearly daily. I've been impressed with how well they've held up!
Normally I'd have gone through a pair or two by now, and these are still kicking strong.
A few interesting notes: I had the same issue with the zipper. The issue actually popped up shortly after the launch. I mentioned it to them and they informed me they reinforced that area. Sadly, I didn't catch it before I lost that zipper so I had to replace the whole zip. The DWR is toast on mine too, but like you said, they dry so fast and still keep me warm when wet, it hardly seems to be an issue.
I loved them so much that I bought a pair at launch and can confirm that the buckle loosening issue seems to be resolved. They went with a slightly thicker webbing which holds much better.
My crotch is just starting to show signs of wear too but still will likely last another year. I'll likely be taking them on the GDT this year! I think they're perfectly suited for that challenge.
Curious though, have you noticed any issues with the side vents. I got a couple of holes in the mesh from bushwhacking with the vents open. But this doesn't affect function really at all.
    Great video Marty! Great product!
    Cheers!

I bought a couple pairs of these earlier this year, waiting for the first batch to get shipped from the crowdfunding. I'm glad they seem like a good purchase after your review, looks like they can take some wear and tear!

All the gear I have from Outdoor Vitals has withstood some serious usage. I really love these pants. Cheers,

They're a solid American company. I just wish the exchange rate between our two countries was lower. On a sad note, our government announced that the border will remain closed for another month. I can't wait to head down south this winter, for a break from all our snow. Cheers.

I may need a pair. What’s the price range? I’ve been a Fjallraven fanboy but so expensive and a bit stiff

The pants go into production next month. Price is in the $90 range, which is cheaper than most comparable brands.

What didn't you like about the pants?

Hey Marty I have a few pieces of OV gear and awaiting my new Ventus. I have been contemplating the Satu pants but I am concerned with sizing, I wear size 40 X 29 and need a little stretch in the 40 so my main concern is the length. I plan to contact customer service and speak with them. By the way I recently purchased a Grip 6 belt and I love it. Check it out.

They make great gear. I completely wore out my Satu pants. I used them on every hike last year. They've invited me on a hike next time I visit Utah. I hope the border opens up soon. I especially love my -30C sleeping bag that they provided.

@@Martyupnorth Hi Marty I am thinking about buying today on the sale but size is a concern. How much give is in the waist. I wear my pants under the belly, that's how I get to 40's, I'm thinking of the 43's. Any comments. Thanks

@@davidson_oldbull_sectionhiker There's zero give in the waste. It's not elastic at all. They provide a cinch strap that allows you to tighten by about 1" . It's a hiking pant, so I definitely recommend going 1 size bigger than your usual size. That's what I did. Outdoor Vitals is really good to deal with. I'm sure they'll exchange if you're not perfectly happy.

@@Martyupnorth I decided not to go with the pants. Maybe I will change my mind in the future. Thanks for your input. The 1 size jump would have been from a 43 to 46.
