First watched you guys at Kenganda. I hope it can really workout for you guys in Uganda. We love you guys and I hope you continue to fill at home in Uganda.
The thing about electricity black out,its nolonger an issue of load shading, its more of technical issues in some areas or when there's construction of roads, but most areas electricity is really stable to be honest
You guys are great, please keep being informative. I have been to uganda two times dealing with artist and , producers. Thanks for this kind of information
I love seeing Black American COUPLES coming to Uganda. I'm a brother from North Carolina, been living in UG for just over three years now. You guys are giving GREAT advice. Brorher J!👊🏾. We share the same sentiments about the men here, I'm retired military and NOT impressed, the arrogant, cowardly, shadow disrespect is going to cause Black American brothers to show who we really are once we learn the language, I'm actually very disappointed in how men behave here, I dont even know if I would have the patience that you do. I did leave Kampala after four months and went north to a smaller less congested city, but I miss the food variety ONLY, everything else is relatively comparable except easy and quick access to the airport. I do want to come back to Kampala after I make sure my business here is on cruise control, I've found my very own Joanita and plan to just give the business to her but she doesnt know that yet. I look forward to meeting you guys, J reminds me so much of my actual brother in the NC, very quiet and reserved but dont test that dude it will end badly lol...
Bruh you hitting all facts. Some of the guys here make me want to go back to a whole other dude. But UG cool. I'm just trying to make me a little lane and stay out the way. But when I learn the language and culture... It's on. Def gotta link up one of these days
@@AfricaEverAfter Bro, have you ever seen those BEST OF (whatever city) in the US? Something like that in a website would be priceless in Uganda.. starting with Kampala and each town area. Best hotels, restaurants, night clubs, hardware stores, electronic outlets, supermarkets... you get it. Honest reviews and write ups, even shout outs to safe and honest boda riders. It would take time to build but well worth the effort after all the advertisement comes in.. 🧐 just a thought
But l think if you manage to buy land in uganda it's easy and Construct your own house bcoz here in uganda there is no need of paying mogages like in USA
Brokers are not yet regulated here, unfortunately😊 But they will be regulated as the housing market gets more sophisticated 😅 At the moment, like the US about 250 years ago, it's still the "wild west" in Uganda 🇺🇬 😂😂
I would also advise your viewers not to just straight out book any AirBnB in Uganda. NOTHING is regulated here and that includes AirBnB. The photos may not be what you get. I suggest booking initially for 1 or 2 days just to make sure that you actually do have hot water or easy transport access. Before renting an unfurnished apartment, try taking the furnished route at first to ensure that the town you have chosen is actually where you want to be. You do not want to be moving around furniture, appliances, and electronics etc... in UGANDA, every move is a DITY MOVE if you want to see your things again. "Brookers" are NOT your friends, no matter how much they smile in your face or speak softly, you are only a lick to them, just imagine them giving high fives to their buddies about the whale they just hooked, and always keep in mind that lying is ok in this culture. It's going to take about a year before locals realize that you aren't going anywhere and the word spreads that you are not the one to f@#k with about money. Enjoy this beautiful place, it's easy to adapt to once you learn the unwritten rules.
Great channel, enjoy your videos. However, you guys never give specifics. What area do you live? Why did you settle on the area that you live in? Maybe I missed it in another video. Also, the stock videos you use seem to be American. That doesn't really give you a sense of what it looks like there. Anyway, still love your channel. Thank you!
Thanks for the feedback. We agree about the stock video. We're working on it. As far as the area we live in... we'll never be more specific than Kampala for security reasons. Plus the area we are in has issues with power so it's not an area we recommend.
Got'cha. Thanks! Great channel. I've been to Uganda about 8 times or so over the past 10 years. I mainly spend time in Masaka, Jinja, Rukungiri, Mbara and a few other areas (of course Kampala and Entebbe). I am considering relocating for good... I was just curious what general area you guys decided on. I'm still up in the air ... I love Masaka, but am concerned about the internet quality. Oh well... God bless you and your family!@@AfricaEverAfter
President Museveni himself and people of Uganda they want more electricity newclia electricity European and America 🇺🇸 they don't want us to have newclia electricity.for get about my English But I believe you will find out what I'm toking about.!
I understand what you saying. If UG or most of Africa get nuclear electricity it changes everything. So of course certain powers may stop that from happening.
LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!

Great Advice guys, I think Ugandans need to start collaborating African American diaspora to kick start businesses
Your channel just popped up in my feed. Great video. 💗New Subscriber.
Also, it is very important to have a power back up solution like a generator or solar system or converter system
Great information, valuable for potential repats 😊

Yes these poor landlords are put through the ringer by these brokers.
When I visit my fiancée in Kampala, we always rent an apartment in the Namogongo area of Kampala.
