Went on a field trip in the late 80s or early 90s to Angel Stadium and got a Jim Abbott and Wally Joyner autograph. Abbott was such a cool story of overcoming any odds to play professional sports
That Abbot card was my favorite from an aesthetic stand point, acuna second. I really like the look of these, they should have a retail version of these like clearly donruss. Of all of these I like the retired players edition the best.
I opened archives last year hoping to hit an Abbott. Actually did it in my first box. I Keep it with my Jon Leiber auto, the only pitcher Abbot got hits off of. 2 to be exact.

Video is fire as always!!! Product for 85 for one card ls a little much, most of the names you could not even make back the tax you pay buying the box. The Acuna was the only card you would make any money on. It you're ripping just for fun and hits for pc then would be a fun rip for sure. Thanks for the video , always fun
Man, the echoing is mind blowing, yet there is a noise canceling effect, I realize your trying to eliminate your water softener and/or your washing machine, but both of those noises were preferable to this very “tinny” and canned sounding audio. Great video, just horrible sound.
Super risky product since it’s only one card per box but I love those acetate autos!!! You should do a case of Upper Deck Clear Cut just as a comparison point for hockey!
The Jim Abbott isn't a high dollar card, but any baseball fan that was alive and watching the sport in the 90s would be satisfied getting him. One of the coolest games I ever watched was his no-no for the Yankees.

The redemption was in a lower end auto because if it was just the redemption the box weight would have given it away. Also, how do I get that will clark from you

If you hit a dud there is no chance to at least make up for it a little with something else. These should be $25 - $30 per box. MAYBE at that price it might be worth it to take the chance.
Don’t know how bad Topps is, but Panini’s redemption service is terrible. They promise a card but then you end up having to just take whatever consolation prize they offer (and don’t even tell you what it will be) when they don’t redeem it after a year, so I think it would be cool if redemptions were bonus hits by default. I understand they might not be able to get a guy to sign, but then just don’t put him on the checklist and don’t pay him instead of just shafting the customer.

Yuck...Donruss cards are bland and cheap... definitely an overrated unlicensed product...for 2021, it's Topps or nothing... unlicensed products suck
