on the rack floor where the gaps are between the sections, get some clear plastic tubing the same diameter as the metal tubes cut a small section of clear tubing, put it in hot water for a few minutes to soften it up, then slip the clear tubing onto the open metal tubing ends. That will keep rain, bugs, dirt etc. from getting inside the metal tubs
I find it a lot easier to be able to click a link in the description after watching a vdo than pausing and clicking an imbedded link then having to go back to the original vdo.. I agree that looks better than the small one.
Thank you for your video. I ordered this from your link. I'm putting it together as you showed (including silicone). Could you show how you attached the solar panel? You're step by step videos help immensely!
For sure. See video here for solar panel install th-cam.com/video/b_Isqbx4rEw/w-d-xo.html If you search my videos, you will find the "no drill" wiring video too. Feel free to email me with questions. Good luck!
@@Tiny-Campers Thank you! I watched the new hinged solar panel install. I'd like to start simple and put the panel inside the basket. What did you use to secure the panel inside your previous cargo basket? Thanks again!
Previous cargo was aluminum and square bottom bars. This basket is steel and round bars. So I would recommend you use "U" bolts like this amzn.to/3sjs5Xy . The "U" end will wrap nicely around the round bars. Just drill holes in your panel frame and mount. If that doesn't make sense, let me know. I can walk you through it.
I’m ready to install a panel and this roof rack looks like my easiest option. Do I need to replace my cross bars with different bars so this roof rack fits? Thanks for your great videos.
Thanks for the review. I've watched a bunch and almost gave up...trying to figure out how to put a budget Amazon basket on my Thule Pro-Bars. The Pro-Bars are on a teardrop trailer, and I cannot move them to line up with the basket spacing, as you did for your car. I may be forced to go with a MORE expensive platform like Yakima LockNLoad or Rhino Pioneer...any thoughts?
This is a budget basket. So it does have it's limitations. After extended use, I can see that the color is fading too. Your Thule bars are premium, so you may want a premium matching basket :)

Very nice, thanks for your help.👍👍 I am learning.

Maybe I will start having a link in the description as well :)
