So, talking about recording. Yuqi was producing a part for one of her songs on the album. And the part belonged to Shuhua. She had massive difficulty pronouncing it all correctly. The (G)i-DLE team staff kept insisting that they should just give the part to another member. But Yuqi had written the part for Shuhua. Yuqi told the staff to leave and that she would help Shuhua herself. After three days of patience, Shuhua nailed it. Shuhua hugged her really deeply, which is something she doesn't normally do unless it is to playfully piss around with one of the unnies. Yuqi's an awesome producer. I hope we get that footage.
Soyeon and (G)I-Dle evolved so much over the years and I'm so proud of everything they've done. Yes, I also do wanna include Soojin as a soloist as well. Seeing how much they've done since debut until now is just so amazing to see. I would love to see more behind the recording but I'd doubt they'd release the OT6 ones now but one can dream right? As far as the latter albums I'd still love to see it. One or two songs specifically I wanna see is "Fate" and "Wife" because I wanna see how Soyeon directs Shuhua and Miyeon for their rap parts. Shuhua is honestly the one who's improved/evolved the most considering she wasn't confident in speaking/singing korean with less lines to now having more lines and even rap lines as well. There are more recording behinds for every title track since Tomboy and also for the chinese recording of Hwaa. All very interesting to see. Also some recording behind for Yuqi and Minnie in the producing role. Soyeon has a different approach on how she speaks with her members. For Miyeon and Minnie she is very professional and very detailed in what she wants from them. With Yuqi she is joking around more and also more hands-on. For Shuhua she is sometimes very hands-on because she needs the most help with pronounciation and singing.
There is also a short one for "I made" called made by Soyeon. The Chinese version of Hwaa is interesting because Yuqi and Shuhua talk about the fact that they didn't know how intricate the song was until they worked with it in Chinese.
Yuqi's Korean is almost to the level of a native speaker these days. Variety shows won't even let her get away with the "I'm a foreigner" excuse anymore lol But Shuhua faced a lot of adversity, especially after some Korean fans gave her a lot of grief for her pronunciation in Hann, so she asked for fewer lines after that. Soyeon always gave her memorable parts though, and it's great to see Soyeon working with her through the pronunciations (as she does with all the foreign members as you pointed out).

I think "haughty and naughty" should be the album name😂 I think that part of Soyeon's genius is that when doubling she often changes the flow of the rap. I love these behind the scenes of the recording process - Soyeon is an incredible coach as well as producer. She not only has an incredible ear but the way she communicates is so inspiring. I do agree about Knowing Bros. Soyeon had to step in and shut down some of their questions during the Nxde comeback. You were talking about pronunciation. Soyeon has always encouraged the group to develop and take parts. People often complain about the limited number of lines Shuhua had at the beginning, but she has said that Soyeon offered more, but she herself didn't feel confident and turned them down - she said she still finds far lyrics difficult.
Yuqi has always had lines but her lines have always been interchanged with Miyeons. So it could be a pre chorus by Yuqi and chorus by Miyeon and then after the second verse they interchange it. Minnie and Soyeon switch between verses regularly and Shuhua finishes up or adds adilibs.

Lol I don't think so. That would imply it's somehow easy to forget the order in which the children were born simply because they weren't named one, two and three. I do think maybe the parents only had children under pressure, though, to produce an heir. And kept trying for a boy, perhaps. We didn't really get much backstory there, huh? 🤔
I agreed about the fair line distribution, but I can also see it from Shuhua's side where even if she can record it, what about the live performances? Knetizens are rough on foreign idols and that can end their careers. I think they all made the right choice to limit some lines and push her to do more of the choreo higlights. 💜
There's something I keep meaning to say, but always forget when you upload. Yuqi's voice wasn't like that originally. As a child, she took a severe fever and damaged her vocal chords after screaming for her Mother for so long. She was heavily bullied for her voice later on, even accused of being a transwoman when she was in high school. It was a big deal for her that Soyeon liked her voice so much. That was really the spark of all the years of love we've seen from them.
It's so funny that you'd remember to mention it on this video because I actually did just watch her tell that story yesterday. Amazing. I really can't imagine her sounding any differently. Now, it makes her stand out. Her voice is so cool and unique.
