Danny9 And physical toughness, they did not have guys like Coleman, Goodrow, and Maroon on those 2015 and 2016 teams. As a Devils fan I cannot understate just how huge getting Coleman was for the Lightning, as a soon as they got him I did not doubt they would win the Cup after that. He’s so damn good at everything he does, he was probably the most undervalued player in the league until he was traded for a 1st rounder

I love the Bolts, but we were massively outplayed by washington (I refuse to put any capital letters for them) and Vasy probably stole a game against the Pens. The right team won both series. The 2015 final was a coin flip though. A little puck luck and that could have gone our way.

i would hate being a goalie shorthanded against the lightning at full power. one one side you have steven stamkos whose one timer is on par with ovechkin’s and the other side is kucherov and you don’t know if he is going to one time it or snap a one time pass to the slot. it must be TERRIFYING
