does the clear coat make the finish super shinny? I prefer the matte finish on a rifle but if the clear coat make the paint job last maybe I'll reconsider..
It's not too shinny. I do prefer the matte finish as well but without the coating, the paint rubs off on my hands and it wears quickly. You might want to try the clear coat on a non descript piece to see if you would like it or not.
Thanks for asking. It's holding up well. The two coats of clear coat really does the job. I can bang the rifle around the gun safe and at the range with no noticeable effects on the finish. Thanks again.
