Haven't seen any interview in recent past where the director have such a control, clarity and how he expresses with ease. Raj B Shetty 🙌🙌🙌
What a brilliant Man.... Its a privilege to listen people like him speak
Can't stop thinking about the Movie. Its Brilliant, South Movies are on Fire.

Excellently explained, whatever questions put on to you, wonderful interview.

OMG!! This interview is as intense as the movie..!!! This man is More than a Life...!!! Raj is something Beyond...!! He is a spiritual incarnation..! Amazing... So brilliant... Sensible... Beautiful 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌🥰🥰🥰🥰
just few hours before the man anurag kashyap himself wrote "There was Subramaniapuram, then there was Angamaly , Vada Chennai and now there is Mangaladevi .. what a brilliant film". he is absolutely true. within 10-15 mins the film sucks us into the world of hari and shiva. i don't think any other filmmaker in offlate has explored the novelty and indian mythology in a gangster drama to the extent what raj b shetty has used in garuda gamana vrishabha vahana. Thank you raj b shetty and team for giving us such a wonderful experience. Looking forward to what you will bring on table in your next venture. all the very best.

Really feeling great about him...
Before watching this discussion I admired Raj as an actor and director
But now I admire him for what he is❤️ Such clarity of thoughts and awareness levels
Absolutely love the clarity in his answers. Neither simply blabbers without any relevancy nor is he very superficial with his answers. He's very clear with his thoughts n answers. Have seen very few speakers with such clarity of thoughts.
He's a wonderful orator, can watch him speak for hours without getting bored.
Sandalwood desperately needs more n more young writers n directors having such passion.
Same thoughts here .... He is absolute 🔥 Rise of a legend✌✌
Usually Sandalwood always has a few directors in every generation like this ..the only thing that is missing is recognition ..sure they get total recognition here in Karnataka but people outside are completely unaware of it and prone to prejudice !
He is a brilliant teacher in that sense. He worked as an RJ in Mangaluru for several years. His way of explaining is superb.
@@m4lev0lentdem0nknightamv5 it's changing bit by bit, with social media kicking in.. It surely will increase.. But the main thing for KFI is delivering such movies consistently (on a regular basis) and adapting to the condition.
We couldn't deliver a handful of movies during lockdown. And at once there 5 movies lined up for release. And next 2 months vacant.
That's where the audience is losing connect with the industry.
In that aspect, Rishabh Shetty stands ahead of all of them, he has several projects lined up for release in quick succession be it acting wise or directorials.
Masterclass interview! A sage taking about his creation process. Had a feeling of walking out a spiritual session.
I just watched 15 mins of this interview..Raj's answers were mind blowing.. I didn't expect these kind of answers..His usage of words ..His understanding about Life is quite different..Each explanation is very deep .
From chennai became his huge admirer🥺🔥🔥🔥🔥
Raj Shetty is a philospher who's in the garb of a filmmaker! Loved the depth of the interview. He's simply a genius.
Oh man! This episode is complete course on filming and story writing. Kudos to anchor who asks right questions and what a mannnnnn is this Mr Raj Shetty so clear about his work and making of the film.. can't be more proud of Kannada cinemas. Kudos guys!!
oh wow! I felt the same and tweeted about it today.
My take on the last scene of the movie: We witness the younger versions of Shiva and Hari dealing with their own dead bodies. While Hari gives a proper final ritual by burying the body, we see Shiva placing his foot on the head of his own dead body and sliding it down into the same dismal pit from which he had risen...
This action is symbolic of the disdain and absolute abandon with which he lived his life and ended it. Total absence of any ego or emotion or attachments... Having lived his life as a recluse, what care did Shiva have for that body anyway, even though he had inhabited it for a while!? Just the way he had treated the dead bodies of the people he had massacred, with absolute disregard, he treated his own body in the end... It's these symbolisms that take the movie to the next level...
Excellent observation. Thoughtful.
With all due respect to the movie KGF, Not sure if the director of KGF can put those perspective or the film making ideas into such beautiful philosophical explanations!! Mr.Raj did it fanatabulously !!
Kgf is the useless movie I watched 30 miniutes then turn off ...
@@deepakjena3628 KGF is like a beautiful 3d painting with all the beautiful colours required. With all the pre requisites of an entertaining movie. But garuda gamana vriahabha vahana is like an abstract painting non replicable raw and just it can't be remade. So just enjoy the movie as it is.
@@deepakjena3628 that movie is not for you then..made for different set of people...who needs just entertainment..

There are many directors like Prashant Neil in India. But Raj Shettru is very rare. Very rare!
I watched 3 films of Raj B Shetty so far and he has been fantastic in all three. The intensity of him captured my attention without knowing his name in the first two films. One of the best actor director in the country. The depth of his answers is brilliant. Love from Kerala.
My wish became true..❤
I don't think I have seen any director explaining their film so beautifully and fluently ever.
This was amazing. Also check out Mariselvaraj's deep focus with BR
This interview is equal watching movie 🔥🔥🔥
We need directors like you 💗
The juxtaposition of regular and slow motion shots worked so well to draw my attention to the subtleties. When the mother is cutting fish and detects a foul odor, my first impression is that the fish is rotten. No, then the slow motion magic... cuts slowly to suggest that it isn't fish, but something else. beautiful cinematic engagement. thank you Raj B Shetty for expanding the possiblities of this medium!
My goodness, Does this man even know what he has created?? He has literally written a masterpiece, maybe an alterative mythology... I bow down. One of the best written movies ever for me.
If there is anyone who can explain shiva better than sadguru...then that is Raj B shetty🙏
👌👌👌
So true!
Bejoy Nambiar's solo explores the themes of shiva in a different note..
Perfect answer..I thought the Same...
Rakshit Shetty and Team had been to mahashivaratri at Isha Coimbatore. So Shivas grace is everywhere. Nothing is good or bad.
Never seen a content creator who can explain his product as amazing as this!
Not even a single instance he answered bluntly, crystal clarity behind each plot, character, BGM and camera angle. Take a bow Raj Shetty!
We already know how artistic Rakshith and Rishabh are in their film making but somehow Raj grabbed more of my "fan" moment with his thoughts.
That's again because of the way he opened up in detail about the cinema in this talk. Rakshith finds it very difficult to convey what he tried to express in interviews and Rishabh is always calm, explores new genres but never talked in detail of his work but this man had a motive behind making each and every frame throughout the movie.
Big Disclaimers :
1> This interview has too many spoliers, if you're interested in seeing this movie, please don't watch it/

Why do we stamping from bollywood just get out of bollywood South is far better than bollywood
My God, this guy is a gem to Indian cinema. I loved the way he explained the process of writing and executing such a classic film.
It's so beautiful how he perfectly made this film with all those thoughts in his mind. Sometimes directors may over do some scenes if they had this much content in them thinking of feeding more but he crafted it with such ease. ❤️

The movie deserves more than one watch 💗
Don't miss this
when i saw movie i liked it a lot. But, when i am seeing this guy explaining the portrayal, i am loving it more and more.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this interview... I had always been a fan of Bharadwaj Rangan and his writing and analysis. He has asked the most relevant questions and made the right kind of observations here. Raj Shetty is a revelation here! His understanding of the technique of cinema is mind-blowing... Great responses given to each question. I had watched the first few minutes of the movie last month and had given up on it thinking it wasn't my cup of tea with so much of violence and heartattack inducing moments... However, the constant glowing reviews of the movie made me watch it yesterday, finally! It's definitely an experience! It's a gem crafted by a master craftsman...
Man Raj , where were you till now !!! Even before watching this movie, I am your fan :)
On a lighter note, you look like serious competitor to Sadguru ;)
Thanks for this session. After listening to Raj Sir, I watched GGVV again....and man.....what an experience .....amazed and proud to see Indian cinema unfolding such a beautiful work.....thanks to everyone who made this film a possibility.
The picturisation and detailing of such a story from a piece of imagination to the reel was a whole another level experience. The way he created the character was so brilliant and elegant.
Myself being someone who likes content cinemas and looks forward for those in Malayalam and few Tamil movies ...am very happy to get that from namma kannada industry and more than that happy coz audiences r recognising and supporting this...looks like KFI golden days r coming back
P.s: Raj can give a run for sadhguru😂
@Franz Kafka was here in the name of MULUGUNEETOPAL Adaptation of Anoop's version??
Anoop's version itself is adapted from the 16th century Kannada poet and philosopher Shri Purandara Daasaru.
Chandrachooda Keerthané was composed by Shri Purandara Daasaru when he visited Adi Kumbeshwarar Temple in Kumbakonam, Tamil Naad
After watching the interview my admiration for this movie increased multi-folds. I have to rewatch it.
Raj b shetty is indeed next level director... Indian cine viewers watch out for this guy..
I was from Kamashipalya. I can acknowledge that rowdies usually fought for cable businesses in '90s
thanks Raj and Baradwaj..thank you for the interview.. Long time Kannada ruled the South industry and it created parallel and commercial cinema in 70s and 80s much before the likes of Bollywood could even think of it..There were people from other south industries Tamil, Telugu lined up to watch, learn and copy from Kannada. You can actually see this even today ( have you seen some glimpses of KGF in Pushpa's story line or in some scenes or concepts..?) The likes of GV Iyer , MS Sathyu , Girish have won many national and international awards.. Maniratnam started his career in Kannada , and music director IlayaRaja just love scoring music for anything in Kannada..And yet for some strange reason Bollywood /North think South is only about Madras/Chennai and conveniently ignore other industries. Even the national channels don't showcase the talent here..its an utter bias and it continues to do so..And we continue to export Deepikas' and Rajnitkanths' from Kannada industry..
How beautifully Raj was answering to the questions thrown at him 😘
Dear Raj.B.Shetty.I am from Kerala.I do not understand kannada.I still loved your movie.please tell why you let someone illiterate to subtitle your beautiful creation?
I think you saw it in the OTT Zee5 I guess if I'm not wrong. These OTTs don't directly take the subtitles from filmmakers, they create or write their own, sometimes the subtleties are lost. I feel the subtitles writer wasn't clearly from Mangalore, this will have a huge impact.
I think this is your best long interview with a director who has more potential to achieve big things sir. BR sir, your questions n observations are great n Raj sir answers were more brilliant. Thank you soo much for this insightful content❤
I know comparison is not good... But this guy is the g v Iyer of our time.... So so so proud of his talent.. We are blessed that he is making cinemas in kannada... I haven't seen any person who is so honest ,crystal clear and fluent in putting his thoughts into words that are so simple still very effective

Wow! what an intecation and the perspective. Nice to know the directors vision. Have been waiting for one such interaction and perspective from Rakshit Shetty on "Ullidavaru Kandante"
What a man. Beautiful. Imagine having a friend like Raj in your life.
My all time favorite movie is Ulidavaru Kandanthe.. Which is again based in Coastal Karnataka (Udupi).. I couldn't help but notice a few nuances which were similar to UK in GGVV.. One being the region and the dialect
• Aesthetization of Violence, without showing the brutality of it screen but through another visual element.
In GGVV you see Brahmaiyya hitting a person and see the brutality of the act is shown in the face of the driver.
In UK, you have a scene where Richie breaks Nickson's Nose in a cricket ground using a gun, and it's shown by the tilting of the cricket stumps which makes it comical scene..
(So not showing something can be such a powerful tool)
• No punching of dialogues, and everything is so casually spoken out. Maybe it's the way we speak in Udupi and Mangaluru, good to see it is being retained and it gives us a fresh view of dialogue delivery which is true to the locality and the dialect.
• The Beginning and the end cycle.
In UK, the story starts from the end of a certain "event"/ person and ends with how it all began.
In GGVV, the last scene, describes the circle or how it all began. So the circle is completed.
A lot many more I can add like Loyalty to a person, Tiger Dance, Rishab Shetty etc. But it'll be lengthy...
Thanks for the interview Baddy and Team FC South and as Raj B Shetty says hope you be busy with reviewing Kannada films in the near future. Cheers 💛❤
😮😮 come to think of it now yes..
UK and GGVV the pride of KFI
Thanks Udupi and Thank You Mangaluru 🤘
And there a this scene in UK where Raghu kills a boy while saving his best friend Richie. And then they turn against each other. We can relate the same here GGVV. And there are many..
Ulidavaru Kandanthe most underrated movie of Indian Cinema. Hope it gets its due through OTT platforms
