I am such a big fan of sports bikes but i gonna purchase gt 650 as my first bike coz of these reasons :
1. Retro style (I have interest in old things)
2. Character as a sports bike
3.(My dream is to make a garage but without a cafe racer it feels something is missing)
4. And my dad easily agree to purchase this coz he loves royal enfield 😁
5. I saw an anime named Tokyo Revengers whose most powerful character mikey had a cafe racer 😅

Both are beautiful bikes with insane power. Tbh, choosing any of these is subjective. Duke for Raw acceleration, better features and technology like quickshifter etc. GT for touring, Top speed and cafe racer lovers.

GT is using the traditional fuel metre, switch on to ignition only after picking up the bike straight from side stand. Only then you'll get the right fuel metre reading.

My comment is based off my ownership experience with my 2020 December BS6 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. I had to import a YSS front fork upgrade done which cost me 27.5k for the internals of the YSS fork upgrade and 27k for the TEC rear shock absorber from the UK. Cost of the shock absorbers are purely landing cost in India and does not include the fitment and tuning the shocks.

GT Breaks are not bad....Duke nd GT basically have the same Breaking power ...well....due to GT being more Weight ... it carries more Momentum...... so Of course Duke will win in the Breaks Department..

No ayush verma himself made a video on braking test between duke and interceptor and the interceptor won. Now he's saying opposite
if the brakes are the same and GT is much heavier, then obviously those brakes aren't gonna be as effective as they are in the duke. so it does need better brakes.
@@SusheelKumarRavinuthala 650 use brembo pads and brembo disc with bybre callipers. It is not same as dukes. And also 650s stopping power is better though it is heavier.
I myself own a 2013 Duke 390 and let me tell you, the braking is ok.
The brake lever isn't the most responsive, you have to squeeze it hard to get best braking. Initial bite missing.
Presumably this was done to accomodate ABS after Duke 200's launch in 2011.
