Korean Rock band DIH went on hiatus late last year due to financial difficulties in finishing their album. Sena, On_B & Esther said they were desperate to remain together & fortunately they now have the funds to finish it :)
I really like these ladies and they have some great original songs and they do some awesome cover songs like Bang Bang. They definitely deserve more support and respect because they are amazing!!
I don't really like putting music into boxes (probably why I like Band-Maid as they play whatever the hell type of music they want), but to me this is definately not Pop or K-Pop but Rock or K-Pop if you wish. They are a rock band and whilst this track maybe a bit softer there are all gradations of rock and if a band just played the one type it would soon get boring. Here is one they play that is a bit more on the harder side. Great vocals from SENA [LIVE] DIH (동이혼) - 피해망상 th-cam.com/video/Sr-Tq0pzLgo/w-d-xo.html really rocks great guitar and vocals from SENA During their hiatus SENA has been busy doing some great covers well worth checking out her channel - SENA_DIH For example Extreme - Cupid's Dead Guitar cover | Hardrock Guitar th-cam.com/video/uxBcodDPOpM/w-d-xo.html Anyone who tackles a Nuno Bettencourt guitar is a brave lady and she more than does it justice Judas Priest - Breaking the law Guitar Cover th-cam.com/video/7iMS37o1Tm8/w-d-xo.html
yeah, this didn't have one of their awesome solos but had a bass solo instead. they should've stepped into a guitar solo right at 4:18 and it would've been awesome!
K-Pop, Metal, Rock why even put a genre on it... it's just straight ahead punch you in the throat, kickass RnR!! I'm a huge old school 80's Matl guitarist and fan and I have followed these girls for about 2 years, and I can honestly say I would rank them just as high as any band out there today!! They have a huge library of videos, shows, covers, etc, you should check'em out, these girls are the real deal!. The band name Dong-i-hon (DIH in short) derives from "Dong-i-jok", which is a word used to refer to the Goguryeo people. Goguryeo is a kingdom founded in 37 BC and is considered the ancestors of Korea. Goguryeo flourished in the northern part of the Korean Peninsula and the northeastern region of Manchuria, was a vast kingdom that expanded its dominion to encompass both the central and southern parts of the peninsula during its heyday. It is said that the name Dong-i-hon was chosen to carry on the spirit and vitality of the Dong-ik-jok, renowned for their bravery and martial prowess, particularly in skills such as archery and horsemanship. When the band was formed, it is said that Sena's father came up with this band name.
The problem with Korean rock and metal, The thing is that it is very difficult to find them and even more difficult to follow them because they disappear. Many times you have to know Korean to be able to find something, why aren't they subtitled. I'm going to recommend this one to you, because I know it's active and it's very good. The band is called Kardi, the song '7000rpm' live and use traditional instruments th-cam.com/video/diK_Z0zxgFU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GZ6utJP-xmm2oAoY Then I'll send you heavier bands that I don't know if they are active. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@GaryHolloway-810 I know I know - I try to remain modest, but I have to face the facts: I'm destined to work miracles. And yet I'm nothing compared to the 810-year-old pigeon responsible for creating the most wonderful band mankind has ever known 😁
@@realdocloco Lol. And so humble too. Yep i totally agree with you, the Maids never stop entertaining the Masters & Princesses & you're doing your bit for the Lourdes.😏
I appreciate the reaction and the honesty, but I'd have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. Is it metal?...of course not. But it certainly isn't K-Pop either. To me it's just straight ahead groove rock. Hoping to see your impression of Rolling Quartz.
Just my opinion but I think these girls are a step up from Rolling Quartz, DIH just seems more like a true rock band other than a band that was put together to play rock, plus these girls know their rock! You're a guitarist you know what I'm saying...
