There will be a lot of texture pop in and the city will not look the same as in PS5 due to lack of ray tracing and higher quality textures and models. Still, PS4 was a great generation with a superior game and exclusive library. If you get a used PS4 without much wear and tear, it's a must buy.

@@MakeItSmelly I remember back when I played on my PS4 with an hdd, I would always miss the first round of search and destroy in cod because I would be on the loading screen throughout because all the other players were on a PS5 or pc. However I’m now spoilt by the PS5 loading times especially in spiderman 2 where the fast travel is instant without any loading.
Last time i tried doing this, i got an SU-41333-4. error code when its telling me to use a usb to update file i even put the update file into PS4 and UPDATE not sure if i had the reinstallation file or not. gonna try again. very frustrating getting this shit to work!

No i disagree with you. do have a point to some degree that yes only the PS4 PRO takes full advantage of the SSD but as you can see they're still improvement in loading times with fat PS4 or Slim

You need a upgrade. I upgraded my ps4 with 500gb lunatic ssd and thermal paste it runs so stable and quiet.
PS4 slim has Sata 3 if you have bought it after 2019 year models. mine sadly one year before 2019 still sata II

I had the same issue and what worked for me is formatting the USB drive to exFAT, instead of FAT32. Do that and installation should work.
