    This i what i was looking to find. A 40+ woman who could give advise on a long term life style. A lifestyle that really makes you achieve the best version of your body and health. So far I had only found girls in their 20's and I could not relate. Thank you for this information.

    I am so grateful to live in this moment, to have mentors like Markus and Cara! I choose to focus on the ideas and suggestions they demonstrate and not on whether or not they colour their hair as some of the comments point out. Some things are individual and personal only to the individual. All women know that have lost weight that it doesn't always come off the places we want. The belly fat stays but the breast tissue shrinks and shrivels for instance so the confidence in one's body image still suffers so what's wrong with saline implants to balance and equalize her figure? It is a personal choice! To live in an era where we can design our bodies and lifestyles is indeed a blessing. Take what you need and leave the rest is a well known 12step pointer! It is not necessary to criticize or be mean and jealous Cara has never posted a video on why you or I should get some work done she lives her life in her body but seeks to share with us who can hear. Thank You Cara and Markus!

    OMG! Yes, I did the same finally!! by going on the Daniel fast (Daniel 1:10-17) I loved what was happening to me Lost 5 lbs, and never went back - that was January 2018. I also could never gat under 140 lbs (I am only 5'2"), but I was praying for further healing of my CHF heart disease, and to loose weight, so when I did the Daniel Fast (diet - NO animals or their products, sugar oil salt), WOW, I never went back!!! Now I am healed of heart disease, and at 5'2" weigh between 112 - 114!! YAY! It is sooo funny how people come up and say oh you are sooo skinny, please don't loose any more weight! I tell them this is the weight that the L-rd made me to be, and I was this good healthy weight as a young teen and adult (I will be 60 on 10-22-18). Praise G-d he sent y'all to tell me and all of us these great healthy things!
    G-d is soooo good! Now hubbs Harry and I are fasting for the Yom Kippur High Holy day 09-18 & 19 2018. I am praying for y'all.
    Thank you and G-d bless y'all!!

    "Every body wins when you eat like this" 😄😂 so true! I once started my day with 2 apples and raw pumpkin seeds from a hotel (bring vegan and gluten free meant that all the pastries and the animal products were off my plate) and after starting my day with those apples and pumpkin seeds I really felt like o had met God. I felt clean and alive and my veins were singing! I can totally relate to how that feeling makes you feel separate to others because they want to eat bacon and sausage then you see them feeling sluggish afterwards.

    I enjoy listening to your pep talks to keep me on track, went raw 5yrs ago, have gone off track a bit with overeating; eating cooked foods and allowing’ sugar to become my crutch during stress! Thank you so much for this video. Cara, you are truly an inspiration to me. I've been vegan for a little over a year (after I had my thyroid removed. Listening to the doctors was one of the few regrets in my life). I had done so much damage to my poor body that it's taken me over a year to start feeling good again and seeing positive changes. I still struggle with making healthy choices (I live in the deep fried south) but watching you gives me back that spark to love myself again and be conscience of what I put in my body. Anyway, thank you again. You're amazing!!
    XOXO, Joan from Memphis, Tn

    I'm so glad I found this site! So much information, inspiration, motivation, and knowledge. I'm vegan and our three daughters are pescetarians (hubby is lacto/ovo vegetarian).
    Well done for the breastfeeding mom with the ten month old baby! I nursed all of my daughters (first daughter for 14 months, second daughter for 2 years, and the third daughter for 3 years). Yes, it is possible to nurse for three years. YES, we supplemented her nutrition intake with organic babyfood (mostly homemade/easily digestible food and some bottled organic baby food). The reason why I'm saying this is because I wanted to inspire the mom(s). Also, with EVERY baby I also consulted a Lactation Consultant/Nutrionist to help with my nutritional needs during and after nursing our daughters. It was a GREAT help for me and kept me encouraged/motivated. The consultant empowered me with pertinent info for my schedule and lifestyle (for myself and the babies too).
    Hydration is crucial in our daily lifestyles and it's certainly important/crucial for mom and baby to receive exactly what is needed to thrive, glow, grow, and flourish (and bond too). Wishing you ALL the best.

    Cara, I clean my house like that, and see it as yoga, because I use my yoga postures, while cleaning. My kitchen is a temple, so I treat it with lots of love. I agree with every point you make regarding your chosen diet. I love fasting, and the clarity it delivers. One raw meal a day, with a huge fruit bowl is the ticket to total bliss. Appreciate your vibration and the example. Gardening is close to my heart, I wouldn't be here, without it. I love barefoot gardening because it gives me additional connection with earth, and makes me feel grounded. And, I just love the feeling.

    I remember when I juiced for the first time eight years ago, I drank the live foods I felt the juice running through my head, and body. It was a wearied feeling but you can feel the live fresh juiced vegetables going through your entire body. Currently focusing on my face to plump my face using your techniques using your methods. I have abused my body over the last three years . Started eating clean once again determined to eat a clean healthy life. Learning more about bamboo, seaweed and sprouts. D Higgins When I made my movie with 300 people on the set every day, I filled up the vitamix in the morning with everything I could throw in there, blended it and filled 3 glass jars which I had with me all day. Then I had one big meal at the end of the day. Interestingly enough, this is similar to what my raw food cab driver friend Danny Dalton does also- one big meal with just some small stuff throughout the day. Its not much different than when travelling- there's always a banana somewhere to grab... and I also make a huge bag of spiced cashews like this th-cam.com/video/pVZbVx1RZCs/w-d-xo.html or Cara's famous stewardess nuts crunch th-cam.com/video/18hV5NMlx_E/w-d-xo.html

      by the way, I now bring my thermoses of juices and smoothies to set with me and despite working double shifts and night gigs, I don't need much sleep. I still drink instant coffee, but once I use up the last of it, I am switching to teas and plain good old water!

    What a super video! Thank you. Just awesome! Therapeutic fasting is the best experience ever ever. It's so true that during fasting your telepathic abilities sharpen, your ESP (extra-sensory perception) increases into totally another level, it's even impossible to express it in words as there is no vocabulary for it how amazing that feels. Like you become ONE with everything around. It can go as far as you can perceive the parallel universes of yourself.

      nice! :D most epic to me is dry fasting, did it 7 days. wish to do it longer. yeah I felt immortal already, needed just 30min sleep every day being supe it. the mind plays a major role with that it's ot just keeping away bd stuff it's a form of meditation, creating using the mind, playing with the mind creatively what we wan t what our heart desires, belieing it, manifesting it :)

      Marvin Fruit My longest fasting was 42 days on water only. And yes, I had "crazy experiences", it was so awesome and it made me realize how we really don't need food. I absolutely loved the state I was in during the 42 days fast. Now I fast regularly, mostly 21 or 14 days on pure water. I didn't try dry fasting yet. As for urine fast, that's not something which I would be tempted to do. How you are saying that you gained 11kg during the second week, that's so unexpected. Almost unbelievable.

    • @Veg-Power
      @Veg-Power 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      y almost unbelievable when u had the experience that we don't live off food :D we live by ourselfs, the air and nature. food just stimulates us not to get lazy with rebuilding ourselfs all the time. but we can build ourselfs from the aether without physical food aswell. sugar in fruit is best for stimulation without demolation.
      i dunno about urine aswell. it toxifies me. an advantage is that it's distilled energized water but we can get this kind of water without the waste in the urine. I use cucumber juice for example. I can't drink water it tastes dead and crappy :D I don't drink any water for months. Just eating fruits and veggies, from time to time a juice. water is needed to flush out toxins, a clean body doesn't need as much water :)

    • @howdoesitgetbetter
      @howdoesitgetbetter 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Marvin Fruit yes i totally relate to what you wrote about water. Cucumber juice is fantastic, that's perfect choice. My dog doesn't drink much water during the day either and when I give him two bowls, one with coconut water and one with spring water he always goes for the coconut water, smart doggie. So this tells me that maybe it's not what we are being told over and over again to overload with water. There are too many theories out there, research comes always with something new and too many contradicting stories. The best evidence is our own feeling and how our body feels at best. Thanks for taking your time on replying.

    You two are inspiring. I would love to eat this way. Right now I'm following the Mcdougall plan for weight loss and so far 6 lbs in 2 weeks, digestion is no longer a problem ( I go most days 2x a day) the only thing is I don't have enough energy. The foods you recommend look satisfying, full of nutrition and energizing. I would love to take my nutrition to the next level. Thanks for putting this information out. Great.

      Melissa Alexandria I find her pseudo-sexy - ie. tries way too hard to be something she is not. Fake pouting, died hair, winding Marcus around her little finger by swinging in her chair and 'sultry' voice' etc. She's not natural at all and could be much better if she was.

    at 14:00 leaving stuff on the counter overnight and eating it for breakfast and finding it more delicious than it was the day before - I sooooo agree!
    This thing we hear all the time to always keep even most veggies refrigerated or this or that will grow is seriously killing the deliciousness of our food. I discovered this by chance. In my 30s I was self employed and working from my apartment. I was also into super heathly eating so lots of veggies, fasting, even intermmitent fasting (this was before the term came into existence).
    To make preparing my huge salads easier on myself, I decided to break down into smaller bits the washing, chopping, grating, etc. This resulted in my taking out from the fridge in the early morning everything I would be putting into my main salad/meal that day, washing everything, then spreading the chopping, grating, etc over time - when taking breaks from working throught the day.
    I would leave everything on the kitchen counter - I would NOT put the finished chopped or grated stuff back into the fridge til meal time. Instead, I put all the prepped stuff onto one big bowl/plate, adding to it as I completed the next ingredient's prep.
    Well lo and behold I quickly noticed the FLAVORS in these salads was INCREDIBLE! They even were easier to chew because they had softened coming up to room temp and remaining in room temp for 6+ hours! You have to actually experience this to understand how beautifully the flavors bloom together - like I had never experienced in my life before.
    I have never looked at refrigeration the same way since.
    But as the years passed I went through different phases of working where I could not do this spread out room temp prep and I missed those flavors. Never thought to overnight this. Will try this for sure. This will mean I may be eating this meal earlier in the day a bit so it is not in room temp year round toooo long, but I will experiment to see how that works out. Appreciate your giving me this inspiration Cara. Thanks!

    Many religions include fasting, particularly things like a vision quest. I've never done it but apparently some people describe such an experience as a release or "reset" as you call it. In the old days people starved a lot, so fasting was something that happened as a result of lack of edible foods.

    Are any possible plastic surgery and or cosmetic procedures acknowledged for genuine, honest transparency by this duo? This would provide a level of credibility- and not offer false aspirational hopes to vulnerable folk. Otherwise a healthy diet and lifestyle are good things to endorse. Thanks.
