I said this the other day but as a lesbian looking at conventionally attractive men makes me feel nothing, but I admire beauty and aesthetics in the most philosophical form that there are handsome men who I 100% have no problem understanding is attractive.
My lesbian friends and I always joke that people think being a lesbian means not having eyes, as if we can't tell what looks good, when gay men are never questioned for calling a woman beautiful.
It isn't really any different than straight people who can tell who's attractive of their own sex. Though people might expect lesbians to have issues with men as a barrier to that. But the same thing can happen if you're straight there as well. I only get what women find attractive in guys like half the time.

I had an ex gf who was weird about drugs. I say weird because she picked and chose the ones she thought were bad but also still did others. She was perfectly fine with alcohol, tobacco and pills but drew the line at smoking weed. Her reasoning was that her mom did all of those things and she didn't want to end up like her mom, which is fine I guess but idk what that had to do with me wanting to kick back and smoke a bowl every once in awhile.

I can understand to some extent. Had a parent smoke cigs when I grew up (and poorly tried to hide it) so now it's just a huge turn off when people my age smoke, like they lose massive respect. I think most people generally feel the same about cigs though, it's nasty. Weed is definitely a weird one to get caught up on.

I agree. Her reason is oddly specific. Usually it’s “they’re addictive, unsafe, etc…”, but the communication thing just feels like she’s projecting one awful experience onto her entire perspective of substance users.

I understand not vibing with people who do drugs (I do drugs, but there's lots of good reasons to not want to be around that) but damn that girl seems lame as hell. It's just one video and I can't judge her personality overall, but she also chose the man I found least attractive as number 1 and based a hotness score on whether or not they smoke.
I agree with her, it's a turn-off. Smoking stinks, it makes everything stink, it's dirty, it damages everyone's lungs, if you have asthma it feels even worse. Having had a boyfriend and flatmates who smoked constantly (and so did all their friends), that's not something I would get into ever again. Turned off forever.
