i think the fact that Melton station is beinhg rebuilt as a part of the LXRP as a 4 platform station is good as it not only allows Vline to increase its frequency by having dedicated terminating platforms in the short term, but for thelong term when this line is quadruplicated and electrified, malton station will be ready from day 1 with terminating platforms for metro
A good way to finance such railway projects is to include a surcharge in car registrations? this will also try and encourage more public transport use at the same time by offering a discount on the surcharge if the registered owner uses the train services during times when road traffic is at it's worst?
What? Rockbank station-converter from 1/2 platform to 2 platforms. Cobble bank complete new station- there was nothing. New parking, crossings removed. Duel track all the way to Melton. Full Velocity service. This is nonsense.
