Got mine today. Contacted the support regarding the switch problem. It’s really hard to turn it on and off. Fortunately now with the new firmware update you can switch it on/off with the remote unit. Much easier. The software is really a crap from an end user perspective. Hard to understand and to customize. Hope this will get more comfortable in future. Will see how it works on the bike.
OMG! Thank you for validating what I thought was just my inability to get the button popped on!!! Love the fit of the helmet but this button is a S-show!
try this Delete all your devices from the App. You do this by clicking the circle with your initials at the right top of the screen and clicking on the Devices page. By clicking each one of the devices you have connected, you should see at the bottom of the page the option to “Remove device” in red. Do this for all the devices you have connected. Close the app and open it again. At the same time, reset all the devices by pressing the power button quickly 8 times. After you’ve done this for each device, we’ll start a process that will repeat for each product. Let’s do it simple and start with the helmet. So, open again the app and click on “Add Device” - click on the helmet, and then choose the color. Once the Helmet is connected, if the helmet needs a firmware update, a screen should pop up. Please if it does, install the firmware update. (Note: if the loading bar gets stuck when it arrives at 100%, and the helmet is already turned on, you may close the app and open it again, the helmet should appear as connected)**. Then, with your remote nearby, the app should pop up a screen saying to pair the Navigation Remote. This screen should show your device (the Helmet) with a label written in red saying Required. Click to continue and follow the instructions on the screen. Once you’ve done this for the helmet, let’s do it for the Smart Lights. Please repeat the same steps. You’ll need to check the Nav Remote is connected with all devices - so click on one of the turn signals and check that all devices are in sync. PS: to reset by pressing the power button 8 times, it must be done with the helmet turned on first **If there was a problem with the loading bar, as the firmware update intervened with pairing the Nav Remote, we’ll have to do it, manually: After opening the app again, click on the “+” at the top right of the home screen. Click on Add Nav Remote and follow the instructions on the screen.
These feedbacks should improve the production of unit 1 company if they consider it...i really liked the design and i think i would wait for version 2...
Received mine today!I just love it!I have no problem with the on button just have to push it on the right spot and don’t have to push really hard!?when you push right ,you hear a click and that’s it,or start everything with the remote,so easy!Best helmet I ever saw and have!I had the Lumos ultra e bike but the aura is much more for me!Slick design,looks very cool,less weight,easy to use and handle!Also love the accessories of the aura ,the smart lights and remote and the app!So happy with it!
Make sure you get the latest firmware update to be able to use that feature. For some reason it didn't appear for me until I connected it and paired it twice.
I'm 6'4, 300 lbs and need to press down my thumb with my other thumb to turn it on. Its crazy. Otherwise I love the helmet so its really disappointing!
Thanks for your review. I am also disappointed with mine and don't enjoy using it. I have the same issue with ALL the buttons: on the helmet and all the smart lights (I have 4 total). It takes a very hard and very long press. To turn on the helmet I have to use my entire hand: my thumb to press and the other four fingers on the bottom of the helmet for leverage. I also find the app to be a disappointment. Comfort wise, I think the retention strap is not at the same level of some of my favourite $100 helmets. Most of the pressure is localized to a single spot on the back of my head instead of being evenly distributed. I haven't had issues with my visor yet. I bought the transition glasses but it doesn't get as dark as the marketing suggests. I would leave a review on their website but I don't think that would have an impact. Overall, given how much I paid for this helmet and all the accessories, I feel the company oversold and under delivered. I had a bad experience with a Lumos smart helmet as well. I am definitely no longer purchasing helmets online. In fact, this product has put me off backing projects on kickstarter.
I have a hard time with the button as well. Once it's on, it's fine. The biggest thing is sizing. I got a large, my head is oval shaped and 60cm but it's slides all over. I have a specialized helmet with mips, nowhere near the sliding.

I'm a 60cm, oval but when I tighten the MIPs retention band it presses against my forehead and is uncomfortable to the point it will give me a headache. I want to return it but Unit 1 are having none of it. I wear a Bell Sixer 'L' which goes up to 62cm and it's fine so I'm baffled as to how the Aura 'L' which fits up to 62cm can be such a bad fit. I think it's too round and not optimised for US/Euro heads which are generally oval. Asian heads tend to be rounder.
Same issue. I’m usually an extra large and I got a large in this helmet. It’s massive and slides around. The adjustment in the back rotates, but then just clicks, not gripping or adjusting the size in a way that stays in place. Very disappointing for the price and the wait.
I like my Aura 1 system overall but like many others that dang power button requires finger tips of steel. If you're having trouble pairing your light bar try the reset function. Turn off the light bar then turn it back on then press the power button 8 times in quick secession. The light bar will flash green if i remember to notify a successful reset. Now retry pairing the light bar and controller.
You... you.... 🤨 - I was in NY for a family thing, abd hurried back to FINALLY have monaural "ALL In" plus some extras I ordered through their crowdfund campaign. In NOVEMBER... I tease. I'm glad you got yours, and your review will easily outstrip my efforts. It's a great "bit of kit" as our UK Friends say. I suspect that, as usual, the iPhone application got more attention and is more fleshed out. I would like the ability to modify COLORS, since the center section LEDs are RGB addressable. My eBike has frame lights that are similar size. My goal is to sync everything up. I admit I like the... Chalk Helmet collor, I considered the Orca (B&W) but stuck with Blackbird. Nice gear. I think my Giro Ethos MIPs is more comfortable, but each has it's own pros and cons.
Finally got mine and couldn’t turn it on or off. Found your video and tried applying more pressure to button and voilà. TBD on wearing the button in with use. Thanks for making the video. No you are not alone in your observations.
I agree on the helmet button spring strength. Mine is exactly the same. Feels like 25 lbs of pressure. I understand avoiding accidental on/off but its not even in a touch area. Imagine doing 8x taps to reset (Its difficult) REMEMBER: You can Turn helmet/lights on/off pushing bpth remote buttons together. Much easier. MY biggest disappointment is FIT. My Giro Ethos is more comfortable and feels like ike a custom made unit. This is FAR from that, but acceptable. Just not sure it's worth the strep price - they claim retail for the set is $499. PS. The marketing on the sight says the "hold position" for the visor and sheild is ONLY TO CARRY THE HELMET, and NOT to ride with the shield inverted/stored on top. That is NUTS. The magnets either need to be stronger OR SOMETHING changed. I repeat $499 retail.

I’m currently waiting for my Large size in this helmet but I’ve had the Faro from the beginning & it’s still great…even after a heavy crash I’m reluctant to bin it. Btw the power button is hard work on the Faro & hasn’t changed over the year/s I’ve owned it. Fingers crossed it’s no worse on the new one
Got mine a few weeks ago. The button is indeed a bit stiff but I don't have problems using it. I usually use the remote to turn it on anyway. I love this helmet and I enjoy using it. A problem for me is that there is not much space for the visor: I wear glasses and the visor fits quite tight, even when it is attached to the brim. All in all this item is a great choice for speed pedelec pilots like me.❤
I have glasses too and I found that if I put the black brim on the helmet magnets first THEN add the visor to the brim then there is plenty of room for my glasses. Using the visor without the brim is indeed tight fit.
I could barely turn on or off the helmet or lights. The button is so stiff my arm shakes trying to turn on or off the helmet. I also can not get the nav to pair with my helmet.
Yes, having the same issues with my system. Want to like this helmet because of the nice design, but so many little annoying issues that are becoming big ones. The button on the helmet is really hard to press on and off. I thought at first it was a reset button but found out from your video that it was the on button. I had to press on this button hard multiple times to have it turn on or off. Really annoying. The lights are not that smart, sometimes both are red as if they are both rear lights. I have to switch positions many times and tried to adjust on the app but they do not update at all. The final straw is the turn signals- they work ok on the front and rear lights but is reversed on the rear light on the helmet. So when I press right on the remote the helmet is signaling a left turn. Kind of confusing for cars behind me! Not sure if I could just return all of these and get a refund. Like you said it’s more trouble than what I want to deal with before I head out to just ride. . They have been so slow to respond to my inquiries.
Absolutely agree with the power button issue. It is way too hard to push, and only works if you hit the exact right spot. My other main issue is with the lights. Bought 2 lights - for front and rear. Regardless of how I add to the app, reset, forget/re-add, both lights operate with the same setting. Basically, cannot get one of each, either 2 headlights or 2 taillights. Reached out to customer service and was told I would need to send a video of the issue for them to help. Major red flag. If anyone has any experience getting the lights to function separately, would appreciate guidance.
I had the same issue and got it to work by only having on one light at a time while editing the light setting. Then once the light setting is over turn off both lights then turn them both on. I had to play with this a few times to figure it out. They do have work to do regarding the app and those lights. It. Was very confusing. Also it would be nice to be able to edit the names of the lights so one could be front and one named back.
I just got mine.yesterday. Great technology ideas but execution is a bit lacking. The helmet is surprisingly heavy. Also, my head size is 7 1/2 so usually extra large just fits right but with this helmet, the large slides around and is way too big for me. Also, the adjustment ring in the back makes a few turns, and then just clicks without tightening the helmet. Heavier than what I was expecting, I don’t know if this will be my go to Bike helmet. All in my temptation is to give it to my adult son for use on his ebike. I invested a lot of time and money and was hoping for so much more. Your review was spot on about the power button and about the lack of magnetic strength for the visor and lenses.
Ciao, I got it yesterday. I like the built quality and perceive higher level of protection. App is fine, lacking some customization option (like designing your pattern). What I do not like coming from Lumos Ultra 1. The remote it too light and seems week. I do not believe it shall last long and it is a key component 2. No sound / bip. This is bad. With Ultra I know when the light is on, and which light (single or double bip) 3. Button is hard and too small. I turn on and off Ultra while still on the head and wearing gloves. Impossible with Aura 4. The USB C plug is not protected. Let is see the experience while riding more. The lack of sound is a concern.
Well I ordered the full kit last summer and as I’m a large I’m still excitedly awaiting delivery….my excitement level has dropped a few notches since watching this video however.
I just got my helmet today and everything paired except for the nav remote. When plugged in to charge it’s dark. No blinking light. It will light up only if plugged in AND i press the button and hold it. So I’m thinking it does not have a Battery in it? It’s super light. My apple air tag weights more. No way to open it to check if it has battery. I’ll keep it plugged in all night to see if it just needs a very long time but not holding out hope. Anyone else end up with a dead nav remote? I texted the company and emailed so I’ll see if i get a response. Update: the company called me back and sent me a new nav remote no charge. They said that some of the helmets went out with remotes with bad mother boards. Now all is great the the helmet and lights work as they should. I am in love with my helmet and the company. FYI I go wade fishing by myself sometimes and at my age Im afraid of falling so I plan on wearing it for the crash and emergency calling protection. So if I slip and fall on the slippery rocks and hit my head it will call my husband. Another use for the helmet. 😊
My helmet arrived today. I have the same problem with the power button on the helmet. But i can switch it on/off with the navigator bar. But i still have a problem with the smart light - doesn‘t work and shut down fast. Recharching is no solution… Just opened a request at the customer support - waiting for response…
Got it yesterday, finally received the large in the blackbird colour, along with the bug net, winter liner, remote & photochromic visor. Please ask me anything on the gear & ease of use. I will agree the power button is way harder than the original Faro & being a smaller button does make it more of an effort…but it still works & will no doubt get easier…but using the new remote as the original remote could not do this, switching both my Faro & this on is now a doddle. Also the new app works well. First impressions, a strong 8…likely to increase or decrease with use.
@@Spruce_Bringsteen very good, I’d say even better than the original Faro. I’ve had a month or more & only charged it to top up. Well it’s done an away with the big fabric lights on the Faro & are smaller so you’d expect it to last longer but yeah love this helmet even more now. I’ve since bought the dark tint visor cause I felt the chromatic one wasn’t getting dark enough as I commute back in a bright setting sunlight. So I store that one on top. It’s gone from an 8 to at least a 9.
I have the same helmet, Unit 1 Aura, arrived a few days ago. Saying the button is intentionally stiff and will wear in, is simply a copout. Mine is incredibly stiff too. I have the same type of button on my Bontrager Flare & Ion cube lights and yes it's slightly stiff but affirmative and easy to operate and guess what? It's 4 years old and has never been a problem. I'm also having a nightmare with the fit, I'm a 60cm oval and got the 'L' but the Aura's shell is pressing against my forehead when I tighten the MIPs retention system and it's so uncomfortable. But I'm getting nowhere with Unit 1. Very unhappy.
You can turn the helmet on by using the navigation remote. I can't see many reasons to turn the helmet lights on when you are not riding your bike. (I can imagine people don't like being flashed with bright LED's when you are talking to them). I am having trouble pairing the entire set though (helmet, nav remote and both smart lights). Tomorrow's another day i guess. It doesn't help that the app wasn't very intuitive to me (could just be a PICNIC issue) , but I assume further updates will improve on this. ***UPDATE: the pairing problem wasn't really a problem at all. I just didn't read properly. It says pair new helmet OR Light. Once I found that out, pairing worked like a breeze. *** Also, resetting the helmet requires you pushing the helmet button 8 times consecutively.....yeah, good luck with that. Got it on the 20th try.... 🤣🤣 The helmet itself is super comfortable though, and i really like the sun cap and (photochromatic) visor. Snaps on very easily and feels just right in every way. I just got to test the helmet this evening though so tomorrow the ride to work on the 'ped' will be the first real test.
You press and hold both the L+R buttons on the remote for about 3 seconds (until they both light up) and if everything is paired correctly all your devices will turn on. The button on the helmet itself also really gets easier to push over time. Been using it for about 2 weeks.

Thanx for sharing but I think you are a bit to picky... The button should be working, that's for sure, but missing audible? magnets not that strong? way of placing the vizors? No helmet is perfect, I commute every day for years now with different helmets (2 different Lazers and 1 other brand) on my Stromer ST1, 3 and lately ST7 and I think the additional lights on this one, together with MIPS and NTA8776 are a bigger added value overall than your 'frustrations' in my opinion...but of course it's your review and your opinion which is honest and respected!!

I’ve got an idea for the visors complaint. Stop at the side of the road & rearrange as required. Simple. These issues you’re criticising do seem first world problems but I guess I’ll know soon if they’re deal breakers, which I doubt, as mine has finally…shipped yay
Are you mostly a recreational rider? I don't have the ability to stop in the middle of traffic to adjust myself without pulling off to a sidewalk. If I can't see because of shadows or light glare and need to take the visor off, it needs to stow quickly :)
@@BikeShopGirl Hi, well I’ve ridden with a club on the road for years, commuted to work on a Onewheel, electric scooter & Brompton. Recreational? Bit more I’d say. I’ve lived a car less life most of my life. I’ve also ridden in all conditions & have a vast experience with kit & its uses. Smashed a few helmets in crashes, broken bones, so yeah, kinda been there. On the visor issue I’ve opted for the photochromic one so I’ll hopefully be able to just leave it on but on the road cycling I have countless glasses, different lenses & when I chosen one for the conditions it stays on, only coming off at the cafe stop. Changing a visor whilst riding isn’t a good idea, I think the purpose of putting the visor on the top is simply for storage not when riding. I’ve also added the bug net & winter liner so I’m excited to see it eventually. I’ve used the Faro from the beginning & it’s still my go to for the commutes whichever mode of transport I’m on.

I'm considering a purchase of Aura and hope someone can answer a question. Is there an audible sound when turn signals are engaged? Alternatively, does the turn signal automatically turn off after X seconds? Thanks in advance for your answers.
1. No, there is no sound. But there is a visual indicator on the remote when the turn signal is on (flashing) 2. Yes, and you can customize the duration in the app
I to am very disappointed. the helmet is too heavy, not comfortable, software sucks, the lights are not bright enough to use without street lighting. (they are be seen lights, not can see lights) i like the indicator bit. the lights change function, from solid to flash is driving me crazy.
The intention of all helmet lights ist two "just" increase of visibility . Sometimes the are bright enough two be reflected by the roadsighns nearby (in europe) or sighns have a reflective coating
It seems they are low on the product development team maturity scale. Those are fairly disappointing responses. Here's hoping a grownup arrives at some point in a lead role. Patience patience patience. 👍
I've had experience of them when I raised the issue of fit. I was told my head is too big or was actually suggested to downsize to a smaller size. Get this, I'm a Bell Sixer wearer 60cm and oval and yet the Aura which goes up to 62cm doesn't fit properly. Shell presses against my forehead and very uncomfortable!

I was sent a dud nav remote (won't turn on or charge), got them to replace it, now I can't pair it. Will call them tomorrow.

Yes, and if you have the smart lights, you can turn the entire set; helmet and lights on and off with the remote.

How have you gotten the remote to turn on/off?
Same problem here. I got a large, came a few days ago. I'm a 60cm, oval but when I tighten the MIPs retention band it presses against my forehead and is uncomfortable to the point it will give me a headache. I want to return it but Unit 1 are having none of it. I wear a Bell Sixer 'L' which goes up to 62cm and it's fine so I'm baffled as to how the Aura 'L' which fits up to 62cm can be such a bad fit. I think it's too round and not optimised for US/Euro heads which are generally oval. Asian heads tend to be rounder.
Did you manage to change the padding, that might helm.@@Gus-u5e
I’m currently waiting for my Large size in this helmet but I’ve had the Faro from the beginning & it’s still great…even after a heavy crash I’m reluctant to bin it. Btw the power button is hard work on the Faro & hasn’t changed over the year/s I’ve owned it. Fingers crossed it’s no worse on the new one
Considering the cost I expect a lot less exposed foam. It doesn't look that clear on their promo videos.

Got mine a few weeks ago. The button is indeed a bit stiff but I don't have problems using it. I usually use the remote to turn it on anyway.
I love this helmet and I enjoy using it. A problem for me is that there is not much space for the visor: I wear glasses and the visor fits quite tight, even when it is attached to the brim.
All in all this item is a great choice for speed pedelec pilots like me.❤
I have glasses too and I found that if I put the black brim on the helmet magnets first THEN add the visor to the brim then there is plenty of room for my glasses. Using the visor without the brim is indeed tight fit.
I could barely turn on or off the helmet or lights. The button is so stiff my arm shakes trying to turn on or off the helmet. I also can not get the nav to pair with my helmet.
Yes, having the same issues with my system. Want to like this helmet because of the nice design, but so many little annoying issues that are becoming big ones. The button on the helmet is really hard to press on and off. I thought at first it was a reset button but found out from your video that it was the on button. I had to press on this button hard multiple times to have it turn on or off. Really annoying. The lights are not that smart, sometimes both are red as if they are both rear lights. I have to switch positions many times and tried to adjust on the app but they do not update at all. The final straw is the turn signals- they work ok on the front and rear lights but is reversed on the rear light on the helmet. So when I press right on the remote the helmet is signaling a left turn. Kind of confusing for cars behind me! Not sure if I could just return all of these and get a refund. Like you said it’s more trouble than what I want to deal with before I head out to just ride. . They have been so slow to respond to my inquiries.
Absolutely agree with the power button issue. It is way too hard to push, and only works if you hit the exact right spot. My other main issue is with the lights. Bought 2 lights - for front and rear. Regardless of how I add to the app, reset, forget/re-add, both lights operate with the same setting. Basically, cannot get one of each, either 2 headlights or 2 taillights. Reached out to customer service and was told I would need to send a video of the issue for them to help. Major red flag. If anyone has any experience getting the lights to function separately, would appreciate guidance.
I had the same issue and got it to work by only having on one light at a time while editing the light setting. Then once the light setting is over turn off both lights then turn them both on. I had to play with this a few times to figure it out. They do have work to do regarding the app and those lights. It. Was very confusing. Also it would be nice to be able to edit the names of the lights so one could be front and one named back.
I just got mine.yesterday. Great technology ideas but execution is a bit lacking.
The helmet is surprisingly heavy. Also, my head size is 7 1/2 so usually extra large just fits right but with this helmet, the large slides around and is way too big for me. Also, the adjustment ring in the back makes a few turns, and then just clicks without tightening the helmet.
Heavier than what I was expecting, I don’t know if this will be my go to Bike helmet. All in my temptation is to give it to my adult son for use on his ebike. I invested a lot of time and money and was hoping for so much more. Your review was spot on about the power button and about the lack of magnetic strength for the visor and lenses.
Ciao, I got it yesterday. I like the built quality and perceive higher level of protection. App is fine, lacking some customization option (like designing your pattern).
What I do not like coming from Lumos Ultra
1. The remote it too light and seems week. I do not believe it shall last long and it is a key component
2. No sound / bip. This is bad. With Ultra I know when the light is on, and which light (single or double bip)
3. Button is hard and too small. I turn on and off Ultra while still on the head and wearing gloves. Impossible with Aura
4. The USB C plug is not protected.
Let is see the experience while riding more. The lack of sound is a concern.
Well I ordered the full kit last summer and as I’m a large I’m still excitedly awaiting delivery….my excitement level has dropped a few notches since watching this video however.

I just got my helmet today and everything paired except for the nav remote. When plugged in to charge it’s dark. No blinking light. It will light up only if plugged in AND i press the button and hold it. So I’m thinking it does not have a Battery in it? It’s super light. My apple air tag weights more. No way to open it to check if it has battery. I’ll keep it plugged in all night to see if it just needs a very long time but not holding out hope. Anyone else end up with a dead nav remote? I texted the company and emailed so I’ll see if i get a response.
Update: the company called me back and sent me a new nav remote no charge. They said that some of the helmets went out with remotes with bad mother boards. Now all is great the the helmet and lights work as they should. I am in love with my helmet and the company. FYI I go wade fishing by myself sometimes and at my age Im afraid of falling so I plan on wearing it for the crash and emergency calling protection. So if I slip and fall on the slippery rocks and hit my head it will call my husband. Another use for the helmet. 😊

My helmet arrived today. I have the same problem with the power button on the helmet. But i can switch it on/off with the navigator bar. But i still have a problem with the smart light - doesn‘t work and shut down fast. Recharching is no solution… Just opened a request at the customer support - waiting for response…
i just got mine, same thing the button is super hard to press. i need to use my nail in the center and it works
Got it yesterday, finally received the large in the blackbird colour, along with the bug net, winter liner, remote & photochromic visor. Please ask me anything on the gear & ease of use.
I will agree the power button is way harder than the original Faro & being a smaller button does make it more of an effort…but it still works & will no doubt get easier…but using the new remote as the original remote could not do this, switching both my Faro & this on is now a doddle. Also the new app works well.
First impressions, a strong 8…likely to increase or decrease with use.
How's battery life?
@@Spruce_Bringsteen very good, I’d say even better than the original Faro. I’ve had a month or more & only charged it to top up. Well it’s done an away with the big fabric lights on the Faro & are smaller so you’d expect it to last longer but yeah love this helmet even more now. I’ve since bought the dark tint visor cause I felt the chromatic one wasn’t getting dark enough as I commute back in a bright setting sunlight. So I store that one on top. It’s gone from an 8 to at least a 9.

I would also like to have the option to when you hold down the remote it turns on all your lights and helmet and turns them off.

I have the same helmet, Unit 1 Aura, arrived a few days ago. Saying the button is intentionally stiff and will wear in, is simply a copout. Mine is incredibly stiff too. I have the same type of button on my Bontrager Flare & Ion cube lights and yes it's slightly stiff but affirmative and easy to operate and guess what? It's 4 years old and has never been a problem. I'm also having a nightmare with the fit, I'm a 60cm oval and got the 'L' but the Aura's shell is pressing against my forehead when I tighten the MIPs retention system and it's so uncomfortable. But I'm getting nowhere with Unit 1. Very unhappy.
You can turn the helmet on by using the navigation remote. I can't see many reasons to turn the helmet lights on when you are not riding your bike. (I can imagine people don't like being flashed with bright LED's when you are talking to them).
I am having trouble pairing the entire set though (helmet, nav remote and both smart lights). Tomorrow's another day i guess. It doesn't help that the app wasn't very intuitive to me (could just be a PICNIC issue) , but I assume further updates will improve on this.
***UPDATE: the pairing problem wasn't really a problem at all. I just didn't read properly. It says pair new helmet OR Light. Once I found that out, pairing worked like a breeze. ***
Also, resetting the helmet requires you pushing the helmet button 8 times consecutively.....yeah, good luck with that. Got it on the 20th try.... 🤣🤣
The helmet itself is super comfortable though, and i really like the sun cap and (photochromatic) visor. Snaps on very easily and feels just right in every way. I just got to test the helmet this evening though so tomorrow the ride to work on the 'ped' will be the first real test.
How did you get the remote to turn on the helmet?
You press and hold both the L+R buttons on the remote for about 3 seconds (until they both light up) and if everything is paired correctly all your devices will turn on.
The button on the helmet itself also really gets easier to push over time. Been using it for about 2 weeks.

Were you able to set up the lights to operate as headlight/taillight? No matter what I try, can only get both lights to function with same setting.

The button should be working, that's for sure, but missing audible? magnets not that strong? way of placing the vizors?
No helmet is perfect, I commute every day for years now with different helmets (2 different Lazers and 1 other brand) on my Stromer ST1, 3 and lately ST7 and I think the additional lights on this one, together with MIPS and NTA8776 are a bigger added value overall than your 'frustrations' in my opinion...but of course it's your review and your opinion which is honest and respected!!

I’ve got an idea for the visors complaint. Stop at the side of the road & rearrange as required. Simple. These issues you’re criticising do seem first world problems but I guess I’ll know soon if they’re deal breakers, which I doubt, as mine has finally…shipped yay
Are you mostly a recreational rider?
I don't have the ability to stop in the middle of traffic to adjust myself without pulling off to a sidewalk. If I can't see because of shadows or light glare and need to take the visor off, it needs to stow quickly :)
@@BikeShopGirl Hi, well I’ve ridden with a club on the road for years, commuted to work on a Onewheel, electric scooter & Brompton. Recreational? Bit more I’d say. I’ve lived a car less life most of my life.
I’ve also ridden in all conditions & have a vast experience with kit & its uses. Smashed a few helmets in crashes, broken bones, so yeah, kinda been there.
On the visor issue I’ve opted for the photochromic one so I’ll hopefully be able to just leave it on but on the road cycling I have countless glasses, different lenses & when I chosen one for the conditions it stays on, only coming off at the cafe stop. Changing a visor whilst riding isn’t a good idea, I think the purpose of putting the visor on the top is simply for storage not when riding.
I’ve also added the bug net & winter liner so I’m excited to see it eventually. I’ve used the Faro from the beginning & it’s still my go to for the commutes whichever mode of transport I’m on.

What does two solid green dot lights on the back mean? Front light only turns on when first plugging it in for a couple seconds.

Is there an audible sound when turn signals are engaged? Alternatively, does the turn signal automatically turn off after X seconds?

1. No, there is no sound. But there is a visual indicator on the remote when the turn signal is on (flashing)
2. Yes, and you can customize the duration in the app

the helmet is too heavy, not comfortable, software sucks, the lights are not bright enough to use without street lighting. (they are be seen lights, not can see lights)

the lights change function, from solid to flash is driving me crazy.
The intention of all helmet lights ist two "just" increase of visibility . Sometimes the are bright enough two be reflected by the roadsighns nearby (in europe) or sighns have a reflective coating
if you had to choose between this one and the lumos ultra ebike, what would you go for?!

I prefer two have blinker / turn indication light present on left and right aside speerately . Dont like the single light solutions

Get this, I'm a Bell Sixer wearer 60cm and oval and yet the Aura which goes up to 62cm doesn't fit properly. Shell presses against my forehead and very uncomfortable!
