Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout begins an all-new storyline arc in GUST Studios’ fan-favourite Atelier series. The beautiful role-playing game follows the exploits of teenage tomboy Ryza, who dreams of escaping her mundane village lifestyle alongside her band of mischievous friends. One day, as they explore a forbidden island in search of adventure, they meet an elderly magician who will change their lives forever. After some convincing, he begins teaching Ryza the enchanting ways of alchemy, launching her on an adventure that will ultimately lead her on a quest to save her hometown from the mysterious and deadly darkness lurking beneath the surface.

The faces are not very expressive in this game, are they? Megaman Legends, a game which came out in the 90's, managed to pull off more expressive faces. O_O
It's weird coming from an anime game since manganime has a heavy emphasis in face expressions.

I love japanese games trailers. No gameplay, only cut scenes. Best trailers, nothing about game, absolutely nothing.
To be fair there is not much to gameplay in Atelier Games except for some softcore turn based battling and the Alchemy crafting system ^^
Eh, Western game companies are guilty of pretty much the same. I mean, as an example I remember watching trailers for Mass Effect 2 and 3 and most of them were cutscenes.

It's a shame they don't do english voicing in them anymore.
It's way cheaper and the weebs have already shown their ok with Japanese voice acting. Heck a lot of them actually prefer it.

@@batatinhacomlepra6899 Só pra ficar claro, eu jogo de boas como claire de resident evil 2 ou Lara Croft de Tomb Raider, não tenho problemas com jogar com personagens femininas se o jogo foi desde o princípio protagonizado por elas, mas RPGs com grupos de personagens, seria sensato nos permitir escolher se jogamos com o personagem principal ou com os ajudantes, como acontece nos jogos NI NO KUNI e Dragon Quest, que nos dá essa liberdade.
Agora esse jogo aí é bom, pena que nos obriga a controlar somente a personagem feminina apesar de ter 2 masculinos junto dela. Isso é forçado e não gosto disso. Como vc disse, tem que ter igualdade e não superioridade.
